I researched multiple sites for roofing contractors and selected 3. Two of which were onAnglie?s list with good recommendations. I had a regrettable experience with G&G Restoration. On the first encounter their representative was very cordial but spent far too much time directing our attention to his 3x5 cell phone screen pointing out the latest technology used to develop the estimate. Being nearly 70, I could have cared less. I found him to be more of a high pressure, ?used car salesman?. I have no patience or time for ?the Talk? . . . ?we?re not the cheapest but we are the best, higher quality and better work ethic than our competitors, etc?. As such, I left the communication to my son who is a carpenter and better understands the industry lingo. All I wanted was an estimate to repair out hail damage. A few days later, we did receive a very comprehensive estimate that included all damage caused by the hail. After receiving the insurance settlement check, which only included the cost of a new roof, I requested a modified estimate. My final communication with G&G I asked for a bottom line estimate including all costs. Iasked for this on a Thursday and gave him until Tuesday noon for his best and final. By Tuesday at 4:00 I still hadn?t received it. In fact, their representative requested another meeting and , told my son that I was ?micro managing? the contract. That ?quote? told me I probably would not work with him now or in the future. I would like this young man to know that I am a nearly 40 year veteran Federal Contracting Officer with a bit of knowledge about contracting and I have awarded and managed multimillion dollar contracts. Of course that was Federal tax monies but I would hope that anyone who is about to sign a $14,000-$16,000 contract would micro manage it. In contrast Crestwood Roofing came to my house, stayed two hours and gave me an estimate before he left. Crestwood did not try to impress us with the technology nor did they ask to see our insurance estimate. He gave me exactly what I asked for and as such we gave them the contract. I'm sure G&G has their side of this experience but my guess is they too would ?micro manage? a contract that involved HIS $14,000-$16,000.

Gerimiah came out to just give us an estimate on a roof replacement. Upon him arriving he did a thorough inspection...oh boy...we went from wanting an estimate to finding out we had hail damage and manufactures defects in our original shingles. Rather than just say we need it he took time to show and explain what he saw and the damage to our roof. He even made a special trip to meet with the insurance adjuster. Thankfully he was there because he even caught some details and key materials that the adjuster missed and our insurance wouldn't have covered unless stated by the claims adjuster. Fast forward to the day our roof was replaced...his team arrived in the morning and by late afternoon our entire roof was replaced. The workers left our yard debris free...not a single nail was left behind. After our roof was done so beautifully we decided to also replace our windows using G and G. Yet another one day project with a very professional team that entered my home and left little to mess by each window. I am more than thankful that I had G and G Restoration do our home projects. It is hard to find timely, courteous, clean professionals that do superb work but we sure hit the nail on the head with this company. Thank you so much.

He showed up, went up on the roof, not the entire roof only small area in back and did a very quick & marginal inspection. Said there was some ice damage and he would provide estimate. NEVER heard back which was fine as I would not use them again.

I explained that water runs off gutter when it rains, even when the gutters are clean. they said the pitch was okay. They didn't tune up anything. I was told the roof was okay. It rained the following week and water still ran off the side of the gutter. I replaced the gutter. When installer pulled down the old gutter they was some debris in the gutter. not much but enough that it should have been cleaned out.

I contacted him before to see if he could do a repair and he told me to purchase the Big Deal. He came out and he did the inspection for the roof, but I was expecting to have the repair done. I was expecting the siding to be repaired, which was my issue, but instead he gave me a quote to replace the roof. It was an estimate for about $5,700. Then we had a phone conversation, then I purchased the Angie’s List Big Deal and then he told me that he made too much money to do consolations. I thought the Big Deal I purchased was going to go for siding repair and have the $99.00 be the credit.

Well, Cindy came out and was very nice. Seemed helpful and interested in getting the "deal" done. My home is just shy of 1900 square feet. (per their measurements) so I was well within the deal in regards square footage. Long story short they came out yesterday 7/8/14 with a supplier and we discussed colors and options. I thought it was funny that Cindy showed up with an estimate of just shy of $10,000.00 for our job. We were given additional charges for wrapping the windows, which is clearly written in their deal. They had $500 for dumpster as an additional fee. Our home currently has wood siding with 2x4's every couple of feet so they would have to tear off those 2x4's prior to wrapping the house. They were charging me extra for that as well even though their deal clearly states that they remove existing vinyl or aluminum siding. Mine would have been less work and less to take to the landfill, etc. I was shocked with the $9800.00 "deal". I was up front and told Cindy that, like many homeowners, that I was looking at different companies to perform the job and showed her that I had a bid of $7400. Cindy stated she would contact me today 7/9/14 and let me know what she and Geremiah had decided on the bid. I received a TEXT MESSAGE that said: "This is Stacy from G&G Restoration. We can't get close to the price quote you received from the competitor. Thank you for your time." I replied: "Thank you as well". Then, I got irritated because I felt that a phone call with what they could do would have been more appropriate or even a phone call to state the above....but a text message????? Really???? So I called and was sent to her voicemail. So I sent another text and stated: "BTW you'll may want to reword your Angie's list but (sp) for siding because it is horribly misleading especially when you'll come back with a bid almost double the offer. Just a thought". Of course I received no response. Just thought I would put my experience out there. Bad business gets bad reviews. What you put into the world always comes back. ALWAYS!!! Just look at the other reviews and judge for yourself. You don't have to perform the work to put a bad taste in someones mouth. It is a shame that they were trying to add on all these costs that they state are "included" in their deal. I guess they didn't trust that I have any common sense at all and can read clearly what they claim their "deal" contains. Buyer beware. Glad I found out prior!!!!

Geremiah was very professional. He showed up on time, was overly conscientious about his work, and kept the area very clean.

It had mixed results. He was very responsive and receptive. However, he came a few hours away, which was a concern. He quoted me a price to replace the roof to take the old roof and replace it – assuming there was 1 layer. Well, there were 2 layers and that increased the price by $1000. I did pay extra to have him do a satellite picture for a better estimate. He did the work, but I wish he had not sprung that extra cost on me. He should have given me the estimate if there were 2 layers up front so it wasn’t such a surprise. In the future, I'd ask a lot more questions.

They initially came out and said that they would do the siding inspection and repair. It was a situation involving insurance (hail damage) and they originally wanted to re-side my whole house but the insurance adjuster said they couldn't do that. I then agreed with the service provider to have them work on my gutters and repair some of the siding but when I called to follow up they declined the job and were more interested in doing the whole house instead. In response to G&G - the insurance adjuster called them twice and left messages. He did not get a call back from Geremiah. How is it that they will only do a job if the homeowner is told to "stay out of it?"

Stole my money said gutters were cleaned and they were not!

Geremiah really stepped up and got the job taken care of.

Geremiah and his crew did an outstanding job. The quality of the workmanship went above and beyond my expectations. The old siding was removed and replaced where it had rotted and was repaired seamlessly. The prep work was meticulously done. Every nail in the siding had been caulked and every board nailed in properly. The paint was neatly touched in around the trim and the borders between the colors are perfectly done. I chose a very different color scheme from the original paint colors and he walked me through the options. In the end, I took his advice on which colors I had chosen would look best given his experience and I am extremely pleased with the results. It looks like a brand new house. Best of all, the cost was more than fair. I'd had other estimates and G&G Restorations was $1000 less than other companies quoting the same work. I have absolute trust in this company to do quality work for a fair price and I look forward to doing more work with them in the future.

I bought the deal 11 days ago, but they haven't responded to me on the Angie's List message center, nor by phone or email. I'm getting a refund.

From the Columbia, MO area: I don't like the service I received. The parts were of good quality. The shingles are very nice looking. The roofers were always late getting here. There were dozens of nails left in my yard along with some shingles. I called the representative out twice to cover nails exposed to the weather and a nail sticking out of the roof. The second time he came out, he walked the roof with me and covered the nails with sealant as I pointed them out. I pointed out the nail sticking out of the roof and when I came back later there was a hole where the nail was. I covered the nails with a second coat of my own sealant. I get paranoid about leaks. The vent above my stove was leaking water after a big rain. I called my insurance company for advise. They said they sent an email to the representative. I never received a response from anyone. I went up and sealed around the edges of the vent. I hope that fixes the problem. I left an F rating on here and was told, by the owner, he could sue me for Defamation of Charator. He got so mad he was cursing. After he asked me to forgive him, he asked me to please let him send another rep out. The next representative came out and listened to me about what happened. He looked at the roof and said he would seal some holes in the chimney flashing and repaint it. He said there was a problem with the area that the vent was leaking and he wanted to redo it. After further looking at it, he said he didn't know how to fix the problem and it would need to stay that way. He also walked with me as I picked up nails in the yard and was nice enough to throw them away for me. He told me to call him as many times as needed if there were any problems. It was a nice guesture of him making the long trip out here. It may be fine now. I just didn't like most of the transaction. Everybody has bad days. I'm sure they do good work, but I didn't like my experience.

Twice a service man set up and appointment and failed to show up. I requested a refund and the very next day a service came by without an appointment. We have a 2 story house but apparently the service man was unable to access all the gutting with his ladder so he told me schedule another appointment for an additional $80. We let him know the area of gutter that concerned us, water was running between the house and the gutter, I don't believed he inspected that area and he made no recommendations other than trying to sell us a gutter guard system that would not address the problem. I don't believe he inspected the roof as he made no mention of it. I received a bill in the mail for $65 for cleaning gutters on a 3 story house. I sent an email to G&G Restoration but did not receive a response. I would not recommend this company.

The coupon suggested that G&G Restoration would call us to schedule an appointment within 2 days. We purchased the deal May 20th. After 3 days had passed with no call from the company, we called and had to leave a message. Still no response. The next week we called and spoke to a receptionist who was not familiar with the deal and we had to repeat all of our information to her. She then told us someone would call early the next week. Still nothing. I called again on Monday June 2nd and spoke to the same receptionist (who couldn't schedule an appointment but could only pass along our messages) requested they call me back within 24 hours either way to schedule or let me know they couldn't complete the service. No response. Extremely dissatisfied with G&G restoration. This was the first deal we purchased on Angie's list and probably will not do it again for fear of the same problems.

Did great work! it really well. The crew was wonderful. Completed the 1st house in one day! On the second day completed in two days! crew was phenomenal. Stayed until the job was completed! With tremendous clean up! wonderful!

It went well overall. The extra costs ($14,000) were too high to pursue the deal.

Today I met with him, and I had to pay extra, because our roof is a lot bigger than what the Big Deal covered, so I am getting my money back.

From day 1 Geremiah was AMAZING to work with. He came to our house several times to make sure that my husband and I understood everything. He was professional and took his time with us. He never rushed us to make a decision and gave us feedback on what he was going to do. He suggested a different roof color that what we had originally had and once it was put on it was beautiful! Our house is the best looking house in the neighborhood. Geremiah knows his stuff, is extremely polite, and even purchased new flowers for me when mine got a little beat up in the roofing process. For future roof/home issues, Geremiah is our go to guy. I would even say that we have become friends during this entire process! Great company and they have my business from here on out!

It was way more than I expected and there were additional costs for plywood etc.

Jeremiah is very easy to work with. He kept in touch with me throughout the entire process, He started immediately after our first meeting and delivered what was promised. His goal is to have a happy and satisfied customer and he goes above and beyond to meet that goal.

Geremiah inspected my roof and repaired some lifted shingles. He responded to my request for service the same day of my request. He was professional and thorough. He took pictures of the problems and repairs and then explained the problems he found and the repairs that he made. I appreciated his great attitude and the wonderful service he provided.

I had written a review previously when we tried to schedule an estimate. Geremiah missed two appointments and we rated him an F in several categories. He contacted me by phone on Monday the next week and asked that I give him another chance. I did and he did a very thorough inspection and provided a detailed explanation of the work to be done. I was very impressed with his professionalism given our first encounter with G & G. They started the work on Tuesday of the following week and other than some shutters that had to be acquired were done by Friday. The workmanship was excellent and my house never looked better. I was in awe of the meticulous work done by the installer, Mario. Having been around friends that operate their own businesses, I understand how hectic their days can become. Sometimes appointments are missed or mistakes are made. It's how the representitives of that company respond to these issues that separate them from fly-by-night companies that are only around for a couple of years. I understand now why G & G Restoration has such a great rating on AL. I would not hesitate to hire them again or recommend to a friend in the future. Geremiah and his crew were very responsive to my needs and worked with both me and my insurance company to get me the best deal for the best repair possible. The whole experience was made easy by Geremiah. They showed up on time, worked late and on weekends. They took every precaution to protect my belongings and cleaned up after they were done. Geremiah even hired an outside cleaning crew to clean my entire house as there was alot of dust generated during the repair process. Geremiah kept me up to date daily as the repairs progressed and did a bulk of the leg work in dealing with the insurance company. Being an owner of an old house I have had many interactions with many different contractors and G&G Restoration was by far and away the the best experience I have ever had. G&G Restoration will be doing ALL of my future general contractor work. I give G&G my highest praise, and would recommend them to everyone.
