I will not use them again. I feel they charged $99.99 to my 80 year old brother-in-law and provided no service. He got a new internet/cable service and then could not get the internet to work on his computer. I called Geek Squad and explained the issue and set the appointment for him. They asked what kind of computer it was. The day before the appointment, I spoke to the main office at 800-433-5778 and asked if the technician would have everything on his truck so no return trip would be needed. They assured me they would. However, they did not. The tech hooked up his own keyboard and everything worked fine. The tech said the keyboard was non functional and he recommended one with a cord as opposed to a wireless. He said he did not have any available to sell nor did he offer any assistance in placing an order for the appropriate keyboard. He did not offer any specifications on the kind of keyboard to purchase nor any instructions as to how to hook it up when he gets one. The tech then charged $99.99 and said that as soon as my bother-in-law gets an appropriate keyboard, he will be on the internet. I called back to the main office and they said they did get the internet hooked up and that for $99.99, they would come back and hook up a keyboard. This used to be called "bait and switch" and it amounts to theft of money from a trusting senior citizen.
Description of Work: My 80 year old brother in law got a new internet/cable service and then could not get the internet to work on his computer.

My experience was, in a word, terrible! I was so pleased, initially, that they would make an ''on the spot'' diagnosis while I waited. But, after replacement and removal of the power supply noted above, when I returned home and was able to get the computer to turn on, there was ''no input signal''. I returned it to the store and asked them to check to make sure that some other component had not become dislodged during the work on the power supply. They removed the cover and assured me that everything was in place. (It wasn't - see my report on another computer service in Lee's Summit). With customers standing in line, waiting for a chance to discuss their own issues, the technicians appeared to be working too fast and became careless. I would be very hard-pressed to take a computer to this facility again. To their credit, I was not charged for the mis-diagnosis and work done.
Description of Work: I submitted my computer for analysis with the complaint that it wouldn't consistently turn on (power up) after being off for several hours. The ''Geek Squad'' technician advised that the power supply had failed and needed replacement. They replaced the power supply and re-checked the computer, but now advising that mother board had failed. Best Buy does not sell motherboards, and therefore could not repair my machine. They removed the new power supply and re-installed the original one - suggesting that I might as well purchase a new computer.

WE NEVER RECEIVED A PHONE CALL. WE HAD TO CALL SEVERAL TIMES. FINALLY, WE JUST WENT AND PICKED UP COMPUTER AFTER 2 WEEKS.

SCOTT WAS VERY HELPFUL, EXPLAINING DIFFERENT FEATURES ABOUT EACH REFRIGERATOR. HE ALSO TOLD US ABOUT HIS CONCERNS WITH EACH BRAND NAME AVAILABLE AND WHAT HAS BEEN DONE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEMS.
