Dennis is meticulous in his inspections and clearly has experience of what to look for in addition to the check list of items you might normally look for with a whole-home inspection. He even tested every ceiling fan at every speed and noted which light bulbs were burnt out throughout the home. We trust him completely and would never hesitate to call him in the future for engineering needs or inspections.

His assessment was very helpful. After getting estimates from several foundation repair companies, Dennis provided recommendations that were far below the lowest estimated that I received. Even after the report was written- he was very helpful in answering questions and providing direction.

It went very well. We were very happy with him.

Dennis spent over three hours meticulously checking the foundation of my house. He was thorough and his report and recommendations were well prepared.

He did an excellent job and I would highly recommend him. I found him to be very honest and very trustworthy in that field. As a matter of fact, he was trustworthy enough that in one visit, he told me that he wouldn't even need to come out to tell me what I needed to know. He said that he could come out and charge me $400 but he could tell me the same thing over the phone for nothing. So, that kind of impressed me since it is very unusual for somebody to say that.

Dennis was very professional, pleasant and informative; willing to answer all questions. In addition to above he was kind enough to visually check some roof issues and give some suggestions. The report he provided will certainly assist us in discussing the issues when getting bids from the foundation repair companies. He also said that any company we chose who had questions about his findings could call him; the same for us. He absolutely fulfilled our desire to get a knowledgeable, independent assessment of our foundation issues.

We used Dennis several times. Once at our home for a structural inspection so that we could complete remodeling of kitchen. We were so impressed that we referred him to our son when he was purchasing his first home. Dennis looked at several homes for our son and gave him a thorough inspection every time and was very nice to him with regards to pricing on the inspections. We would definitely recommend Dennis to anyone wanting superb and confident results.

It took a few days for Dennis to return my call, but we were scheduled within a week. Dennis is really fantastic at what he does. This is the second time we've had him review our property. The last time was in 2009 and we had still had his detailed report and measurements to compare movement following the droughts we've had of late. Dennis spends a lot of time doing measurements and explaining what he thinks is going on. He's like a house detective, really. He then takes that and makes recommendations in a report that is anything but boilerplate. Whenever we are in need of a structural engineer, we will call Dennis and will recommend him to anyone - especially when buying a new house.

Dennis was very professional. He came to our home and surveyed home for structural integrity so that we could remodel kitchen. He came in and did all measurements in a professional and extremely accurate manner. We found our home was in need of piers and he provided options as to what was needed to correct the foundation of our home. He provided a written report and we were very pleased with his work. We referred him to our son when purchasing a home and was a tremendous help. Dennis went to several homes with our son over several weeks and I feel that if it were not for this very honest man, I do not feel our son would have ended up with the right home.

This went well. He was very informative. He answered every question I had thoroughly and gave some insight on future work that may need to be done. I was quite pleased with the experience.

Dennis did a very thorough examination of all the concerns I had concerning my foundation. He gave very practical and helpful ideas for a variety of issues. I learned a lot about my foundation and a few other things that I needed to address concerning my home. He told me that my basement was actually in good condition but I needed to make sure to redirect the water flow around my home's exterior and seal the crack from the inside. He did not need to write a full report so he didn't charge me his full price. I read the review's on Angie's List and after using his services I can give a hearty referral. My only complaint was when cancelled only a few hours before his inspection. But he apologized and even came on a Saturday a few days later.

I called Dennis because of a crack in one wall and mild bowing of another in my 80+ year-old stone foundation. He came out, inspected the house and foundation, and took detailed measurements. Afterward, he explained to me in detail what he found--which wasn't all that bad, actually. Within a few days of the inspection, he provided me with a written report and recommendations for ways to improve drainage around the foundation and he identified a few places that might benefit from additional support such as a jack post in the basement to prevent further sagging of floor joists. All things considered, I am very satisfied with the service--and extrememly happy to report that I won't need to review any foundation repair companies any time soon!

This is the second time I have used Dennis. He is very knowledgable and was able to assist me in pinning down the reason for water leaks inside my home. The solution was easy enough that I could fix on my own without hiring another professional. He ever offered additional advice on my home as he walked around the property. Very helpful. I would use him again if purchasing another home.

He took the time to explain to me what the different cracks meant, took many different types of measurements, and provided a simple and cheap solution. A support in the middle of the house had settled causing one wall to buckle in one spot, so he suggested jacking the beam up and putting a peice to metal in between the beam and the pier to make it level again. The report with the exact measurements came several weeks later via mail. I wasn't in any rush to get it after he had eased my mind, and I'm sure if he was submitting it for a client with more urgency, he would have sent it earlier. Overall, good experience!

Dennis came to my house, asked questions, went up into the attic space, and came down and explained in detail his findings. His report went out today, just 2 days later. I would recommend him, and would definitely use his services again.

Our home has settled due to the drought, but we were unsure if we needed foundation repairs. We wanted an opinion that would not have the bias of a foundation repair company. Dennis spent a lot of time explaining to my wife and I how and where the house has settled. Based his evaluation, we decided to spend several thousand dollars less than if we had just listened to the first foundation repair company we contacted.

It went very well. He took the time to do a thorough inspection; then took even more time to explain his findings to me and make recommendations for repairs and reputable companies. A very positive experience.

I can add nothing to the previous A ratings. He took the time and did the job thoroughly, later mailed us drawings of the work (braces and piers) that he recommends we have done. Seemed worth the cost to have someone reassure us that our house was not in any imminent danger of collapsing into the basement.

I felt confident in the assessment he gave me. Dennis was very practical with his explanations and then approachable with confusions on my part. I suggest asking many questions to anything you have wondered about with your house, because he will give you the answers and not make you feel like an idiot. I have no frame of reference for my price rating so it felt steep, but I believed in his explanation enough that I wouldn't hesitate to pay that again if I ever moved and needed an evaluation, hence my score of B.

Dennis was very knowledgeable and professional. He explained in detail what the problems were and his method and logic for arriving at his diagnosis. He walked me through what he was doing while he was doing it and provided recommendations on how to fix the problems he was seeing. Dennis went the extra mile to explain what needed to be fixed immediately and what could wait. He even showed me features of the house that to a less experienced eye could have appeared as problems, but in reality weren't problems at all. For example, my house is very old, and Dennis showed me where the stone basement foundation appeared to be bowing outward. However, by examining the window frames and the stonework in the upper corners of the foundation, Dennis explained to me how the house had actually been built that way on purpose. I would use Dennis again and would recommend him to anybody.

It was a great experience having Dennis come out. He was professional and obviously very knowledgeable in his field. During his assessment, he also took the time to discuss our concerns with our deck and interactions on how to properly support it when make our improvements. This was extremely helpful! He sent a full write up of our visit with drawings and instructions on deck construction. We were very satisfied with his work, and will definitely recommend him!

He was fine and seemed very thorough. I rate him just fine but the price was a little higher though.
