We had the solar panels installed hoping to reduce our electric bills...to date there has been very little to NO decrease.....I have had to call them more ties to service the new unit then I ever did with the old unit that was in the house when we bought it.......You would think after the amount of money we spent we would have gotten a reliable excellent quality unit but that has not been the case so far. I cannot even get an explanation as far as the solar panels not doing what they should be......This was a ridiculous amount of money and I now wish that we had NEVER gone through with it...
Description of Work: Installed a air conditioning unit. 4 solar panels

.This is more important than most people think. Their rep' came out to the house with the full array of what they had to offer in new systems. There were a variety of choices available and consequences to be considered - not the least of which was cost. The rep' answered my questions without any pressure to choose one way or another.
Description of Work: I've had a service contract with them for several years which provides for semi-annual checkups of the heat/air system. I know nothing about the mechanics of the system, and it's been a relief to have knowledgeable people take care of this. And they did: monitoring the fluid levels, replacing the thermostat, replacing the air filters (in the ceiling where I can't reach them), etc. This year the compressor went out - I didn't have a clue. Their response was outstanding. In a couple of days, a whole new system was up and running.

Brad(owner), Josh (service manager) , technicians and office staff very knowledgeable, honest and professional. Provided written estimate and completed work promptly and under estimate. Felt very comfortable working with them and didn't feel like they were talking down to me as I do not know a lot about heating and cooling. Installed unit was Bosch brand with 10-year parts/labor warranty. Have contacted them more than once since installation they have always been friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!

I called them after a bad experience with a local company--they came out, examined the AC unit and were able to offer a substantially lower price and better service. They came out, did the work and even attempted to do what they could to save the unit. They were friendly, knowledgeable and very good at what they do. I know that when I go to replace my unit, they will be the ones that I call. They were able to save me 300.00 over the local price and give me a warranty. They Are Awesome!!!

The workers arrived each morning by 9:00 am and left by 5:00 pm. They were very skilled and worked very well together. Being in construction myself, I feel I am a good judge of abiltiy and these guys are trained well and were very courteous. The first day was all demolition and they were very careful to not damage anything. I have suspended ceilings, so the work was made a little easier but I did not have to touch paint or replace any ceiling parts after they were completed.Days 2 through 4 were installing all the new ductwork, runs, and upgraded electical lines. Day 5 was installation day for the unit and new thermostat. All the work was completed as promised and on time without a scratch. Since I had this unit installed my electric bill has gone down considerably each month compared to the previous year. My bill in December 2011 was an astonishing $178 lower than my December 2010 bill. The poor heating complaint I had about my basement has gone away with the correct ductwork and unit in place. If anyone is in need of ductwork or installation of a heating and air conditioning unit, I would give these guys my highest recommendation.
Description of Work: Josh and his crew came by about a month before the work was completed and gave me a detailed cost estimate of the work. He informed me of an error in calculations by the builder of my home on the ductwork size. My duct was built for a 2.5 ton unit, but I was trying to heat and cool an area that required a minimum of a 4 ton unit. In addition, my unit broke down on the hottest and coldest days of the year, and heating the basement in the Winter was nearly impossible. We agreed upon the work that needed to be performed and he set a date for the week of June 6-10, 2011 to come in and remove and replace all the ductwork and to install a new unit inside and out. The workers were very knowledgeable and kept me a priority for the 5 days they were here by arriving on time and leaving by 5:00 pm each day. The work was neatly done and no additional damages were done to my home while the renovation took place.

Specifically, here is what I appreciated about the way I was treated. 1) I believe that they worked hard to provide the best system within my budget. Their system, using a premium unit was similar or better in price to other quotations, many which offered less efficient equipment. 2) Since it was new construction, draws were made on the contracted amount, based on progress benchmarks. This went exactly as agreed, and in the amounts agreed. Although that should be a given, it was amazing to me the number of tradesmen that do not follow through on what they agree to, or try to change the 'deal' along the way. 3) At no time did Quality Hear and Air hold up progress on our construction by being tardy with their work. 4) They worked closely with me in terms of respecting my requirements regarding issues of clearance and aesthetics. 5) The 'finished product' works as intended. 6) There were a number of small changes made along the way. Quality did not use that as an opportunity to jack up the price. 7) After the system was in operation a couple of months (and I might add, the bill was paid), Quality changed a couple of cold air returns in order to improve the quietness of their system, and at their expense. I considered this beyond the call of duty. Like I said, I liked their work and service enough that I had Quality replace the old HVAC system in my home in 2011. That retrofit also went smoothly.
Description of Work: I contracted with Quality Heating and Air to design and install a ground source HVAC system in a new 13,000 sq. ft. commercial building here in Lebanon. The bottom line is that I liked the company and their work enough that the following year (2011) I contracted them to provide another ground source system for my home.

The technician showed up on new years day and quickly diagnosed my furnace as having a bad sequencer. He told me that he did not have that particular piece and would have to order it, it would be about a week. However until it arrived he could bypass the bad part and the heater would work. It souded a little unsafe to me but this guy was a proffesional so I went along. Almost two weeks later I call the company and ask the status on my parts. I was told that the parts had came in but he couldn't find them that someone else had taken them. I thought that was odd that someone else had the exact same problem, but again I have no reason to doubt this story. I was again told that it would be about a week and he would call me to set up a time to come fix it. A week comes and goes and no word from the company, so I call to inquire. The receptionist had no idea what I was talking about and said she would talk to the technician and call me back. She called back a little while later and told me that the parts that came in were the wrong ones. So it would be another week. I tell her that my patience is wearing thin, this is the second time I'm waiting due to their supply chain. Week three comes with no news from the company so I call them, AGAIN. The parts are finally here and they will send someone this afternoon to install them. When the technician arrives, it is someone I haven't seen before but surely he knows what's going on. WRONG! This technician asks me what is wrong with the furnace. I say that from what I was told the sequencer is bad and he bypassed it. This technician says all the sequencers are good and doesn't know what to do. Enraged, I told him to pack his things, go to his boss and tell him why I kicked him out. A few minutes later I get a call from the boss of the company apologizing and promising to make it right. At this point I tell her that I don't appreciate being misled, given the run around, and possibly having my home and family put at risk because of their technician. She sells me on letting them come fix it . The original technician shows up without saying a word comes in and fixes the unit in about 5 minutes. He writes up the bill and gives me a coupon for the next service. I paid, and about a week later I get a card from the boss apologizing again and hopes to keep my business. Yeah right.
Description of Work: The services performed was an emergency service call because my furnace had stopped working. The technician was to replace a bad sequencer and that was it. Or so I thought.

Response from Quality Heating & Air
After reading the post from the member I felt compelled to elaborate on the more fine details of the transaction to better help readers understand the special circumstances involved with this service call. The technician was called on new years day and arrived shortly thereafter at the customer’s home. A bad sequencer was diagnosed. We stock a variety of different styles of sequencers 100% of the time, but in this particular case the electric furnace took a specialty style that is only made by the manufacturer. No other generic or aftermarket style will work. -We safely bypassed the bad sequencer in the enclosed electrical panel inside of the furnace to ensure the customer had safe heat during this cold season. -The part was ordered. -No charge to customer at this time. Special order parts can take considerable time to arrive, especially when coming from the factory. The first order arrived and was incorrect and we immediately called the distributor about the error. We explained in detail the style we needed and they seemingly understood our frustration. Several days passed and we received the second sequencer and it was also incorrect. I personally phoned the distributor and explained to him the problem I was having with this situation. I just needed a simple sequencer! I once again told him the style that we needed, he said he knew EXACTLY the kind I was describing and it would be sent out on the next truck. At this point, we explained to the distributor our dissatisfaction with getting the parts for this job and the amount of complications it has caused the customer and us. -We are trying feverishly to obtain the correct parts. -Customer still has safe heat in the home. -Customer has been in contact with dispatch and is aware of the parts mix-up. The correct part arrives and in haste to alleviate the customer’s problem in the quickest possible fashion, we sent the first available technician. The new technician not being familiar with the previous technicians wiring, the original technician was called and re-routed to the customer’s home and the problem was resolved in a few minutes time. As a customer in my own personal day-to-day life, I can relate to the member's frustrations when things don’t go as planned. As a business we collectively try to make each and every customer ecstatic with the way we do business and make it our policy to live up to our policy of “Exceeding Your Expectations”. Looking at this objectively, I believe there are areas in which we have excelled and areas with some room for improvement. IE: I believe an error in judgment was made by sending a different technician to the job to finish. The original tech was more suited to finish the repair he started, but I was only trying to finalize the customers concern in the quickest manner. Looking back, that is something I would change. On the positive, we arrived at the customers home on New Year’s Day, diagnosed and temporarily repaired his furnace, ordered a new repair part, left their home with heat and billed the customer nothing at the time for doing all of the above listed. Yes, we (both the customer and I) had the issues with the parts distributor, but this was something neither of us could control. I would even have used a different supplier, but was told the part was factory direct. As far as the billing was concerned, I believe the pricing was very fair considering the customer was invoiced at regular service rate and NOT at the holiday rate for getting him back up and going on New Year’s Day. We also did not charge for the second trip when the correct part arrived. The total amount billed was $73.00, differing substantially from the $175.00 on the post, and the customer did also receive a coupon for the inconvenience waiting on the correct part. Lastly, we sent the customer a thank you card thanking him for his business, the same card we send to all of the customers that do business with us. I don’t feel we gave the customer the run around or were misleading, we both just had a terrible experience with a part supplier that we were forced to use because of a very unusual part. Absolutely never at any time did we risk the customer’s home or family. Each and every repair is carefully performed to ensure the highest level of safety, no different than we would do in our own homes. There’s simply too much at risk to operate any other way.
