We were so pleased with Midwest's work that we had them back for additional work! First time they replaced ugly pavers around our driveway and a front walk with aggregate. That went so well, we asked them to replace our lower level patio (pavers again) and extend a walk around back of house. Both jobs were done well and look beautiful. Would recommend Midwest for anyone considering concrete work!

We used Midwest Concrete for our patio project and couldn't be happier. They put in a beautiful stamped patio with a stone wall & posts around it. Tom and the crew were very detail-oriented and it showed in the finished product - the craftsmanship far exceeded our expectations! They are very knowledgeable, offering suggestions as needed and answering all our questions in a professional manner. We would highly recommend based on quality of work.

I am very pleased with the work Tom Silber and his company Midwest Concrete & Construction did for me. From the first time we talked until the end of the job Tom and his employees were complete professionals. I was in a terrible situation because I had previously hired a contractor who started the garage foundation portion of the job but did not complete it. Tom understood I was in a bad position and needed to have the foundation completed as soon as possible. Although it was one of the busiest times of the year Tom and his crew started the work a little over a week after I accepted his proposal and the work was complete about a week later. This was a project that required the experience to work with my sloping property and to blend the driveway and garage foundation elevations. I am very pleased with the results. Tom is a true professional who really does understand what it takes to not only get a project done but also knows how to treat the customer along the way....great communication to make sure I knew when and what he was doing. I really appreciated that. Tom, his son Ben and all the employees are all great people to work with, I am very pleased with the work they did for me....would use them again, would recommend them to anyone looking to have good work done in a professional manner at a fair price.

Midwest is a great company to work with. Professional, knowledgeable and responsive from start to finish. They did an excellent job replacing my driveway, front porch and patio and corrected some drainage issues in the process. I love the dyed, stamped porch and patio.

From bid to completion, Midwest was very responsive and kept us updated and informed. They built our new deck in the coldest part of the winter and replaced our patio and driveway with a new, dyed, exposed aggregate concrete that is beautiful. Extras that were not in the original bid were also priced fairly and any issues found were discussed with safety and price in mind. We are very happy with our choice and highly recommend Midwest to all who ask.

Terrible! All work done by Midwest needed replacement or correction. At times, Tom Silber, President of Midwest Concrete, admitted he would have done a better job if he was doing the work. On July 10, a lady came to our home and identified herself as a concrete engineer from the company that supplied the concrete for Midwest. She examined all the concrete work done by Midwest and said “It looks like a bad concrete mix and poor workmanship”. When I explained this to Tom, he was irate and said the lady would probably be fired. Sidewalk at porch: They put no expansion joint between the porch and sidewalk. Their remedy was to cut a slit with a concrete saw with no expansion joint material. This shoddy work will undoubtedly cause problems in the near future. The sidewalk was poured sloppy and unlevel, causing puddles. They finally agreed to replace 50% of the concrete, causing color variation. At the point where the driveway connects to the street, Midwest chiseled too far into the street, leaving large gaps between the driveway and street concrete. Unbelievably, Tom Silber bullied and argued with us about filling in the wide gaps! They did finally put a white tar-like material in it, but the material has already started to buckle. The did not level the driveway, causing significant puddles. Their remedy was for us to pay for an expensive drain . After arguing about why we should pay for something to fix their mistake, Midwest finally agreed to install a drain. (My driveway is flat and had no prior drain, nor should it need one if poured properly.) Furthermore, this drain was only a partial fix, as other portions of the driveway still have puddles, discoloration and the quality and craftsmanship are totally unacceptable. The drain has chipped off edges, buckled materials, discolorations and exposed sunken drain ends. Once again, Tom and son, Ben, came to view the shoddy workmanship and Tom admitted “If I was there when the work was done, I would have done ….” or “it should have been done…” but he takes no responsibility for the work of his employees! Their remedy for the driveway puddles is to reconstruct two slabs with a slope. Even if we agreed to yet another “fix”, less than half the driveway would drain. 75% of the driveway puddles --- even with the drains! After all the problems, we requested they refund the portion of money for our driveway. I feel this is fair because in a year or two, we will have problems with the sidewalk.

They are very expensive, but they are very good. They usually don't come out for smaller jobs, but they came out for me and I was very grateful because I wanted to get the work done before it got cold, so I highly recommend them. They were very professional. They came out when they said they would. They cleaned up the mess. They were very good.

Workmanship was excellent and job was completed in a timely manor.

I got several bids for our rather large driveway and 80 foot long sidewalk. Midwest Concrete & Construction, Inc was not only the best bid but also the most accommodating people to work with. They came out right away to give me an estimate and let me know all that it included. There is a lot more involved than just tearing out the old and pouring cement. The job was very professionally done and looks fantastic. I never thought I would get this excited about getting a concrete driveway but it looks fantastic - so much better than the asphalt we had for 31 years! If you need concrete work done this is the company to call. My son and daughter-in-law used them and once their neighbor saw the work he used them too!

Tom, Chris, Ben and all of the other employees were extremely nice and easy to communicate with. The concrete looks great and we have had many neighbors commenting on how nice it looks and checking on getting bids. They were good about cleaning up the area each day and keeping the street clean. We made a request to add a bit of extra length to the back walkway and they were very nice to add this change to our contract on very short notice. We have also contracted with them to do some backfill around these areas in the near future.

We had a finished patio that ended up being 27 by 14 and then the 14x3 foot patio side walk and a hot-tub area 11x10 . It was a multi-colored elephant ear design that we choose to go with, So many friends that had seen the before and now the patio said how beautiful it turned out. We couldn't agree more!

Tom's crew showed up & worked very hard while there were here. There were careful of our existing yard & cleaned up daily. Their work was very good & they explained to us what we needed to do to keep the concrete in good shape to prevent any future problems.Their prices were in line with other contractors we had received bids from. They were very knowledgeable of their industry & great to work with, we would definitely call them again if needed in the future. They did what they said they would do.

Our roof is very steep. Other contractors would not go near it. Finding the time because of inclement weather to finish the roof was a large issue. The roof itself was a five day job. An upcoming two-day break in the weather was forecast. With such a short time span to accomplish the task, the builder brought in an extra crew to finish the job in two days. The roof replacement is excellent, the grounds around our house were well cleaned and we were left with a happy home. Other items such as doors and windows were taken care of in a prompt manner by this builder. The insurance company was nearly impossible to work with and was not willing to pay for the entire repair. The builder was able to get five times the amount from the insurance company than what they originally offered.

Tom was an easy going guy and helped me to make good choices regarding my patio project. He was quick to recommend very affordable options, and was patient and friendly while helping me understand the different options and requirements of the job. His crew was friendly and worked efficiently. One day to set forms, one day to pour and finish the concrete. The end result was FANTASTIC! I would select Tom and his company again, and I can truly recommend that you give them an opportunity to earn your business. I’m blessed to have met Tom and selected him to pour my concrete patio.
