Kirkwood Landscaping

Patty came out to hear what we wanted done to the front yard. She provided a detailed sketch and estimate of the design. We liked her design and it incorporated the peony bushes we wanted to keep but move. Kirkwood Landscaping did the landscape all in one day. We are very happy with the results.

The process went terrific. Jim and Patty were very responsive and had tons of good ideas. The work was done efficiently and looks great!

Patty listened to what I wanted, made great suggestions and designed an overall plan that met our needs, looks great and fit our budget. She included me in the selections and made changes accordingly. The crew that came out, which included the owners were pleasant, hard working and professional. They made a special effort to address the problem areas first and came back later to do plantings when the weather was more permitting. Patty followed up after the project was completed in person to make sure I was pleased.

Came right on time and even kindly blew the deck off as well. Very reasonable prices

Jim and Patty complement each other well re: design and installation. They are great to work with and accommodated our needs well. Their crew is also great as well. We have another project with them in the works for the Spring and I would definitely recommend them.

The work was outstanding.& the cost estimates were very detailed. Jim & the crew put in three days of hard work to get out yard on the" road to recovery". All the grades above should be A+. Kirkwood Landscape continues to provide excellent service and advice and has enable us to bring back our lawn to a good-looking state. The owners, Patty & Jim, are good listeners , consider all aspects of their customers' needs, and have an outstanding crew. Soon will be replacing front foundation plantings and look forward to working with them .

The owners are prompt and courteous in communications. They listened carefully to the problems we wanted to correct. They asked me to meet them at the stone/material supplier well in advance of start date so that I could tell them what materials we liked. I found them to be patient with all my questions and very accomodating. The owner reviewed the overall plan before work started to make sure everyone on the same page.The project took a crew of 2 men 12 hours roughly plus the owner was on site working with the men part of both days. When each step of the process was completed I was asked to inspect approve before they began a new phase. The men were gracious, polite and eager to help. They seemed gratified when we offered our approval. We found them to be engaged, on task, neat and very knowledgeable about their work assignments. We are pleased with the finished project done by Kirkwood Landscaping. It now looks like a piece of nature's art instead of a drainage ditch. I learned that the company offers many services. The owner came yesterday to treat our lawn for an insect problem I could not get diagnosed all summer. He also has taken soil samples to help us diagnose some unhealthy lawn issues. I do plan to work with this company for another yard improvement next spring. Thanks to the owners and their 2 crew members for a pleasant experience.

They did an excellent job. The work was done in a timely manner, the quality of the work was very high, and they provided a lot of helpful tips for the ongoing care of our lawn. I will definitely work with them again.

They have done a lot of work for us in that past, and has always been great. Jim, the owner, is very personable, and makes sure the job is done right. They have always given us great suggestions as well on where to plant, design for gardens, etc. We used them initially after putting an addition on our home and having to redo that area of our lawn (too much clay in the soil). They also planted a bunch of perennials in our garden.

I am very satisfied with the work. I know nothing about gardening so Jim and Patty were extremely helpful in picking out new plants to make the existing beds look brand new again. I let them use their best judgement in configuring the layout and they exceeded my expectations. I changed my mind several times about what I wanted to do and they were extremely patient and accommodating. The price was fair and the workmanship was superb. I highly recommend!

I was very impressed with everything about Kirkwood Landscaping. From the time I contacted them, until the work was done. They were very prompt in getting back with me, setting up a time to give an estimate, and was very thorough in doing the estimate. Both Jim and Patty came out to take a look, and took a lot of time in measuring, taking pictures, and getting an overall feel for the lay of the land. I had others out and they didn't take nearly the time, and one didn't even follow-up with an estimate. I had a specific time frame for when I wanted the project completed, and they got it done in time. We were very happy with the finished project and the incredible communication throughout. We had them completely re-design an area at the corner of our property, and they did wonders with removing old plants, bringing in rock, transplanting some plants / trees in other areas. It's made a huge difference to the curb appeal of our house. We also had them trim bushes, mulch, and generally clean up other areas around the house and plant a few new bushes / grasses. They did the same thing at our other property as we are getting that one ready to sell. I will definitely use them again, and have already referred others to them. Thanks Jim & Patty!

I would highly recommend Jim, Patty, and their crew. They created a great landscape design for my house that fit what I was looking for and my budget. Jim and Patty got me scheduled and the plants, and mulch were installed very quickly after accepting their quote. The landscaping looks great, and my have gotten so many compliments from neighbors already.

The experience with Kirkwood Landscaping was excellent! From the time I contacted them (Jim / Patti) until the time of completion, they were engaged in what we wanted to do, helped us come up with ideas, and see the project through. When we encountered a problem with the original design they did not "just do it anyway" but helped us rethink with some other approaches, etc. They were more than willing to help us think through the various stones, wall colors to come up with something that worked nicely, even meeting us a couple of times at a Kirkwood Material Supply to check things out. When the work was started it was completed very timely and the communication with them has been great throughout! I would highly recommend their services.

Jim stated they would be there at 8:30 am, and at the stroke of 8:30 Jims highly skilled and professional crew descended on my property like a swarm of locust. Blowers blowing, trimmers trimming, the flash of shovels and rakes everywhere. I thought to myself "this won't take long......wrong. then Jim showed up with a huge load of premium mulch and the spreading began with one team while the other concentrated on the removal of 2 year of lawn refuse (no small task). With the speed at which they moved I was sure this would be a 3hr. at best job for them, but no. Jim and his crew stayed until every last leaf was gone. Every piece of mulch was in place, The whole yard groomed to look like something out of a magazine. Then and only then did Jim call me out to inspect. Awesome...mind blowing is all I can say. Very Very Pleased

As in the past, I am completely satisfied with the end result. Jim and his wife, who does much of the planning and estimating,. are very knowledgeable about all aspects of landscaping. Their crew works very hard to make sure the end result is what you expected and they stand behind their product. I absolutely recommend them for all landscaping projects and will continue to use them as the need arises.

Patty and Jim take care of our heavily landscaped yard. Their company comes twice a year to cut things back, mulch, add things as requested, remove as needed, and offer suggestions, advice, and support. Our yard was totally overwhelming when we purchased the house, and I had no idea what to do with the beautiful landscaping I inherited. If left to my own devices it would have been a jungle after the first spring. I am so glad I found Kirkwood Landscaping. Jim and Patty and the guys are wonderful. They are responsive, professional, and very very easy to work with. Highly recommend.

Things went very well on this project. Our ideas were listened to and implemented. We got the sod in a week later than expected, but it is still looking great and we continue to soak it to make sure the roots continue to develop before winter sets in. Jim and Patty explained how to care for the plants to give them their best chance of establishing themselves.

They pulled out many truckloads of overgrowth. Then they chopped and pulled out all of the roots, tilled the entire area, and chopped out more roots until it was entirely clear. It looks amazing!

We appreciated Kirkwood Landscaping's professional and friendly approach to service. They were fast to respond to emails. They presented an estimate tailored to our needs and budget. We were able to schedule the work in a timeframe that suited our needs. Kirkwood Landscaping provided great advice about appearance and maintenance before, during, and after the work was done. It only took a few weeks from service request to completion of work. With all the rain in May and June parts of the lawn were a disaster. It now looks like it will be back to normal by spring. The new grass is almost 2 inches long and will actually need mowing soon. It really looks nice now and should be completely recovered by spring. Thanks for a great job.

The workmen were very efficient and seemed to go beyond the agreed scope in adding new timbers, the area mulched, and replacement of drainage tile, but the largest bonus addition was doing the trimming we had eliminated from the first estimate. They removed the trimmed branches and allowed me to add branches to their trailer from some of my own trimming that I had not yet disposed of. The neighbors have also been impressed by the work and have asked Jim and Patty Sutterer, Kirkwood Landscaping owners, for landscaping advice on possible projects for them.

Jim, Patty, and their crew are wonderful. Jim and Patty came to my house shortly after I contacted them. They looked at my front landscaping and listened to what I wanted done. After they left, Patty made a design plan and Jim came up with a bid. Patty's plan was terrific and suits the design of my house perfectly. Jim's bid was reasonable and he kept to the budget. I then had them come out a month later to design and landscape the backyard. Once again, it was a great experience and adds to the value of my home. Everyone at Kirkwood Landscaping is professional and hard working. We had some delays due to a great deal of rain, but they finished both projects as soon as possible.
