The overall process was smooth and orderly. A friend recommended him. I left a message on his phone, to which he responded that same day. He came to my home two days later to asset my two systems and took one machine with him for repair. He called me one or two days later to give me specific information about the drive and keyboard costs. I don't remember the amount, but it was low. Mostly out of curiosity, I asked him to estimate the costs for a new computer, monitor, and printer -- thinking he would give me a ballpark figure. But he said that he would see what was "out there' " and call me back. A few days later, he called from a store with an on-sale price for a great Dell computer. Soon he had located both a wide-screen LG monitor and later a top-of-the-line HP printer, both at a reduced price. I had no idea that I could afford such upgrades, but everything together -- thanks to Larry's know-how and energy -- was within my budget.
Description of Work: Larry Cockerell [Computer Wizard, 417-597-4141] is an excellent computer guy who makes house calls. He repaired a stubborn mouse and figured out the problems with a faulty CD drive and a keyboard for one of the PCs I was using, both of which he would have repaired for a reasonable price. With his guidance, I decided to upgrade to one new computer. He personally shopped around for the best prices of each, picked them up, and set everything up at my home. He also transferred all of my document files and those programs I wanted to keep from the two older computers. And he spent quite some time familiarizing me with the new devices, programs, etc. Larry's bill provided receipts for each purchase and a more than reasonable fee for his services. The Computer Wizard is the real deal.
