Witthar's Remodeling was fine. We just decided to use somebody else.

I purchased the "Big Deal" to get a quote on redesigning my kitchen. I was able to set up the appointment and he showed up on time. He spent time measuring the cabinets and getting an idea of what I wanted in the kitchen as my current setup is not conducive to efficient cooking. Bill told me he would send me the plans but that he was going to be out of town for a few weeks. As I was not in a hurry, that was going to be fine with me. After a few months went by, I had not seen the plans. I contacted Bill and he said they had been sent already. I never did receive them. They did not have a copy at the office they could make and resend to me as it had been misplaced. He offered to come back out and do it again, however I did not want to take another day off work for the appointment. Overall, I found Bill to be very nice. My main complaint was assuming the plans were sent as Bill suggested, that I was not able to get a copy of my kitchen plans since they did not have a copy in their office.

We ended up using the design. He was professional and showed up on time along with coming up with a great design.

We chose not to go with them as the estimate was higher than other alternatives. They were professional. The owner came out and delivered the design.

Didn't return my call

Contractor was very nice, organized, and presented a well-thought-out proposal. Some items proposed were at the high end and so the projected price was considerably higher than what we had been thinking, but he was very willing to adjust the materials used and so lower the estimated cost. But since we can't yet afford to have the work done, that's as far as we got!

Not as expected. No innovative ideas.

I was pleased with the services received. They give excellent service. They are honest as well.

We had never had construction to this level done before and were unsure what to expect. Bill provided a timely and professional estimate and also provided with sample plans as well as additional features he recommended. Once construction began the job was always as described with the work area cleaned up each night. This was important to us with children who loved to check on the progress each evening. We always were informed of the plans for the week and the schedule of the construction. He provided insight and ideas which ultimately made our basement more unique and truly our personal space. The company provided most aspects of the job, which was nice to always know who was showing up to work at your home for the day. The budget was exactly what was discussed at the beginning with the only alterations for changes that we wanted during the job. While there were a few of these changes, Bill took them in stride and helped us to get the exact space that we wanted including the finishes. He also was helpful with taking time to incorporate a couple of antique doors which had sentimental value, despite taking a day or two more than expected to work into the space. When our refrigerator didn't fit as expected (due to my error with measurement), Bill went above and beyond to help get the appliance into the space without any extra charge. We felt the project went so well that we can't wait to save some money to start the next project and we would definitely use Whitthar's Remodeling again without hesitation.

Work done impeccably with great attention to detail. The siding was installed in such a way as to correct mistakes made years ago by the original installers. The drainage system had been left in horrendous condition by previous company that should not be doing that kind of work. Bill's men straightened it out (literally and figuratively) and made it aesthetically pleasing and completely functional. Have used Bill many times over the years and he's never disappointed.

As you can tell by the history, Witthar has done a considerable amount of work for us and we continue to use them for quality work and very reasonable prices and straightforward gimmick-free structure of the same.

I wish there were a rating higher than A! Bill and his team would earn it. In anticipation of a major renovation, we called all their references. I spoke with men and women, and everyone had only positive things to say. One woman said her house was cleaner when they were doing work than when she's home alone. I had a similar experience. I have told so many people about our positive experience and they all say, "remodeling is such a nightmare." Wish I had the need and $ to do another one, because it was truly a fun experience. Some highlights: (1) Bill *really* listens. He was spot on with his design. (2) The quote is the quote. There are no surprises. There was a problem with our floor -- some issues left from the previous owner. It was a lot more work than Bill anticipated, but he didn't charge us one extra dime. In fact, we tried to pay him and he wouldn't let us. (3) Bill and his team are completely trustworthy. Only family and very good friends work for Bill. They did a lot of work when we were out of town. We were 110% comfortable having them coming and going in our home whether we were home or away. (4) It's a collaborative effort. We loved how Bill and his team had a lot ideas and incorporated our needs with their experience. (5) They do everything. Bill has built houses, so is aware of every aspect of building & remodeling. (6) They don't mind small jobs. He uses them to keep his team busy between the bigger jobs. After our projects, he moved on to two of our neighbors.
