She was extremely thorough in the plans she drew up! She measured all of the spaced and provided a detailed drawing and also sent images of what each plant looks like. It was just what I needed!

I had to call after a month to see where our plan was. She explained that she had a health issue with a family member that set her behind schedule, besides the fact that they were busy. We want to be understanding, but it still took another week before we received our sketch. A phone call during this time would have been appreciated. The plan arrived too late to do the work this year and we were only presented with one option. There was a proposal included that seemed fairly high, however to be fair, we have not solicited a comparison bid yet since the work has to be delayed until next year. In essence, I feel like I paid $50 just to receive an estimate that probably would have been free from most landscaping providers.

Beverly and her team came and cleaned up all my flower beds and prepped them for winter. They also carted off a huge pile of limbs and tree debris I had gathered before their visit. I was delighted with the finished product. Already scheduled another visit.

i called and interviewed 5 landscape companies. i settled on The Gardner because of her focus on plant selection and organic gardening. most of the companies i interviewed had a heavy focus on hardscaping and unnecessary soil replacement. Beverly had a more organic approach with a really cleaver landscape design. because of my ignorance,i thought the cost was a little high. but i later discovered that her costs were in line with the other companies. and The Gardner actually saved me money with her clever design without hardscaping. after settling on the design, installation went mostly as planned as they were at the mercy of the weather. all in all, a great experience and looking forward to working with beverly next year.

Beverly is the consummate professional. We've had a lot of work done, and it's not always turned out particularly well with some of the contractors. That is not the case with Beverly and her crew. She does what she says she's going to do, when she says she's going to do it, and always responds promptly if you have any questions afterward. We love working with Beverly and will hire her for all our landscaping jobs in the future. She is also cognizant of budget and will do what she can, in various stages to get you where you want to be.

Beverley Martin was so easy to talk to. She came and looked at my project (which was very basic, nothing fun or creative), and promptly provided me with an estimate for the work I outlined. I got estimates for the work from three different providers, and Beverley's was the most detailed and thorough. She understood what my goals were better than the other two companies, and was sympathetic to my situation. I was very happy with the work she and her crew did, and would use her services again happily.

This is the 2nd year she has helped beautify my house - she does a great job and I would highly recommend her. Beverly knows her plants and had great ideas.

It all went exceptionally well. The crew came when promised and completed the work in a reasonable amount of time. We're so pleased, we're hiring the company for additional work.

Bev was a real pleasure to work with. She was very responsive and her plan was great. I told her the dollars were higher than what i wanted and we worked together to make decisions to lower the cost. Her and her crew did a great job of telling me when they were coming and of cleaning up. They went above and beyond and i will definitely be using them again.

We began working with Beverly on a master plan for the yard two years ago and broke up the installation over two seasons. Beverly is the most knowledgeable landscaping professional we have ever worked with and would highly recommend her. Many landscape design firms have their set list of plants that they work with and jobs get treated like an assembly line project. Not so with Beverly, she spent considerable time with us learning what we did and didn't like. When there were choices we didn't love, she took the time to understand what it was we did or didn't like about a specific plant and came back with several options. She also went out of her way to hand select the best examples of a specimen vs. simply phoning in an order. The end result was an outstanding design that my wife and I absolutely love.

Beverly and crew did a great job. Polite, meticulous and detail oriented. We changed our mind three times about the stone and she never lost patience with us. A minor delay in getting started (a few days) but then they did beautiful job. We love our new landscaping!

Bev did an excellent job of communicating and delivering exactly what was promised. They always showed upon time and kept me informed of any changes or issues along the way.

They stopped by my house late one afternoon and did some prep work and came back the following day to do the job. I came home from work - it was all done, and looked great. The difference between what my landscaping looked like was day and night. Beverly knows her plants, what to put where and could picture the improvements that I couldn't.

Beverly met with us to discuss our project and spent a good amount of time listening to our goals for the yard as well as issues we wanted to address-soil erosion on the hillside being a major concern. Beverly drew up plans for us to look over and worked to include some of our existing plants in the new design. Once we decided on the project, Beverly and her team kept us informed as they worked to get rid of old plants, including a stubborn section of zoysia grass which delayed planting in one area. The team dug out and removed excess dirt from the hillside and installed a new stone retaining wall. They put in the plants, mulched around them and kept us informed about progress. Beverly was always quick to respond to our questions and very helpful with plant care suggestions for helping the new plants get established. It was a big project and we were very pleased with the results. So are the neighbors! They stop all the time to tell us how much they like the new yard!

Most of our contact was with Beverly and from start to finish, she was terrific to work with. She was very responsive in meeting with me after I first called and did a complete walk-around so I could describe in detail what my wife and I wanted. She took notes and measurements and within a few days, brought us a proposal complete with diagrams of the areas we were focusing on and pictures of the plants she was suggesting. We could tell that Beverly was very detail-oriented and that was reassuring - especially to my wife since she is a CPA and is also very detail oriented. After a few days, we sent Beverly the revisions we wanted to make. These were not because she had not done something we wanted but were because we had time to visualize and consider her ideas, then determine what we really wanted. There were several exchanges of emails and Beverly was very good about getting back to us. We kept adding to, taking away and rearranging the plan and Beverly was very patient with us. The work was scheduled for the last week in May but rain delayed it until June 17th and 18th. It took a total of two days. Beverly, Dan and their crew of 5 - 6 men came on time and worked hard each day, all day in 90-degree hot sun and high humidity. The crew was very pleasant and friendly both to me and to my neighbor.The work was done exactly as we had agreed. Beverly's and Dan's knowledge and experience really transformed our yard. We have more landscaping to do on the sides and the back of our house and we will definitely be calling Beverly later this year to do the work in the fall or early next year. My wife and I are thrilled by what they've done and look forward to working with The Gardener team again. We whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone who is considering landscaping for their yard.

Frankly, I had no idea my landscaping could look this good. I keep walking out front to look at it, and may take a lawn chair and a beer on the driveway so I can enjoy it. I really appreciated that when Bev came to give me a quote, she got my style. I have some funky concrete stuff on the front stoop and she was able to surmise that I wanted a really sharp, cleaned up, but sort of "messy" English garden look. I was in way over my head with all the grass and weeds, misshapened boxwoods, and bare spots. The mulch she mixed into the beds looks great and the weeds and grass are gone! I love the pavers she chose to install near the hose. They match the existing pavers and trail around a bush in a balanced and charming way. There are nice, sharp lines around the pavers and walkways. This is exactly what I wanted but didn't know how to ask for it. I kept asking my mowers to help me with the landscaping and needed a professional gardener for the job. Bev is already scheduled to come back for maintenance visits, and we asked her for a quote for some backyard work today. My husband is also wanting Bev to help us with more trees in the front. This home is our biggest investment and Bev's work is well worth the cost to keep it looking great!

Our yard was a challenge because we had not kept it very well maintained for 25 years. Not being a gardener and knowing that I would need plantings that wouldn't require TLC, especially with three dogs romping around, I explained that we wanted a yard make over that looked attractive year round. Beverly came up with a design that met our needs and seemed reasonable for all of the work that it would take. She thought of foliage color for different seasons, water requirements, sun vs shade, even plants what would attract butterflies and hummingbirds! She would email me in the mornings to let me know when they would be coming over. We plan to continue using "The Gardener" crew for monthly maintenance to keep it looking as attractive as it does now.

Beverly and her crew are so nice to work with. We are planning on some significant landscaping, but first had to have some cleanup done. Her crew is very efficient and knowledgeable. They removed more debris than I imagined and had the backyard looking clean and fresh. We are going to work with Beverly over the winter months on a garden bed design for plants and bushes. But before we did that we had them put rock under the deck and fill in an area where the soil had eroded. Both areas looks so much better. What we like about Beverly is she didn't try to push any big ideas on us. She listened very carefully to what we wanted, then made suggestions. She is also very aware of our budget and as worked diligently with us to stay close to it. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

We were pleased with the work done by The Gardener team. The design work was excellent and I liked that I was given pictures of the plants prior to installing. The installation was very good and the plants were very healthy and looked great from the start. Also, after the work was complete, I was given a copy of how to take care of each plant, when to cut them back, if needed etc. Very helpful. We have more landscape to do next year and plan to use them again. They are not the least expensive, but I've never done well when I've gone that route. Their work is worth the extra expense.

We gave Bev a budget on how much we could spin for redesigning our front landscaping. She came up with a very nice design and included pictures of various plants we could choose from within our budget. Bev and her team came out and performed the work as contracted. They did a very good job. There were a couple of plants that did not make it but we purchased a warranty on the plants and Bev came out and replaced the plants and honored the warranty. Overall we are well pleased and we recommend The Gardener.

Bev came to the house and drew a sketch of what the new landscape beds would look like and gave me a price within my budget to do the work now also gave me a price for work to be performed later should I choose to increase my budget. She and her crew showed up on time and finished the work within a few hours. I now have some curb appeal and couldn't be happier with the results. I plan to use them again.

I first met with Beverly on 2-14-13. She spent a lot of time asking what I liked. As we live on an acre, a sprinkler system is not an option for us due to cost. She was fantastic to work with! Her plans were very detailed. The day of the install went off without a Hitch. Her partner Dan and the crew did a wonderful job. What went wrong? The WEATHER! Needless to say after the install, we had snow, rain, high winds. I was a nervous wreck that it would all die. Beverly calmly reassured me that they would live. One of the plants, coral bells developed a small fungus. She is coming out this week to apply fungicide. The fungus was due to all the moisture. She cares deeply about her customers. She is a joy to work with. I look forward to working with her and Dan in the future.
