It went great from beginning to end...no problems at all.

If I could give an A+ rating I would. I called Sid on the Friday of a holiday weekend. He called me back that evening and told me he would try me again at the end of the weekend. Whenever Sid said he would do something, he did. Always true to his word. He came out, gave me an estimate. It took 3 visits to patch the hole, let it dry and the final visit was for the texture. I'm not kidding when I say you can't tell that a repair has taken place. Thanks Sid!!!!

We got an estimate for the job, both a written and verbal estimate. There was some give and take on the estimate due to the damage repair. They came out and did the work. It took a little longer than expected, but the job quality was acceptable. The surprise came after the work was complete. The final price was SIGNIFICANTLY above the estimate. The owner claimed he had explained it to us and that we had misunderstood him. I don't believe this. The overage was a ridiculous amount. If he'd have told us this amount ahead of time I'd have never authorized the work. Clear communications wasn't his strong suit. If you use this contractor, definitely get a DETAILED, WRITTEN and FIRM estimate on paper and accept no leeway at the end. I will not use him again.

It's great to find a company that does what they say they will do--and do it well! Sid and crew were quick, efficient and clean. I expected this job to be a real mess, but they got in, got out, and left this high-traffic part of our house clean.

The crew arrived on time, removed the wallpaper, and cleaned up every scrap.

When finished, it looked like new. I had this done in July 2008, two months after I had some other work done (see other report under "wallpaper removal"). Again, they came out four times, giving the "mud" plenty of time to cure between visits. Excellent, excellent work.

Sid and his crew were excellent. When they were finished with the ceilings, you could not tell there had ever been work done. They came out four times, letting the surface properly dry in between visits. They were prompt and efficient and explained what they were doing every step of the way.

Sid Lehrbaum was very prompt in returning my call and inspecting the home to submit a bid. Because there might have been hidden damage, he was not able to give a firm bid. However, he did provide his estimate in writing. The workers were diligent and the plastering job was very capably done. He billed the exact amount of the estimate. We were very pleased with our experience with this company and would hire them again.

Sid was recommended by my painter, Gina Christensen (who is also terrific). Sid answered my phone call immediately, arranged to come give me an estimate on my schedule (2 days later) and arranged his work to coordinate with Gina's (who was painting the entry hall). His team is nice and polite (good sense of humor, too) and works very quickly and efficiently. The process took 4 days but they were here only a couple of hours at each time: one visit to strip the walls, another to path and apply mud, then again to sand & seal. Clean up was excellent. The workers were great, arrived on time and did an outstanding job. Do not hesitate to hire Sid -- I'm going to use him again to remove wallpaper when I renovate my master bath.

I called Syd in a rush. We thought we were finished with the prep on this room, after having spent countless hours stripping the walls of several layers of wallpaper, patching, priming, etc... Last minute, we realized we couldn't leave the ceiling the way it was after all the work we'd done on the walls. I had a floor company coming the next week to sand, & I needed to get the ceiling done quickly. Syd answered my e-mail within hours & came to give us a bid the very next day. His guys were here within 2 days to start the work. They worked quickly & efficiently & were very nice guys. It took 5 days to do the work, but only about an hour or less each time. One visit to strip the ceiling, a few more to apply layers of plaster. Finally they came again to sand & seal. Cleaned up beautifully. The workers were great, arrived on time and did a great job. I trusted them to come in, leave and lock up if I wasn't home. I'm glad I found them, can't wait to hire again.

Sid did a really great job. He was very helpful and a pleasure to work with. His estimate was very fair, and he came in slightly under, which is always a wonderful surprise. He cleaned up the work area beautifully, and was very accommodating with his schedule. I would definitely use him again, and would refer him to others. Very professional.

Work went well, done within the amount of time estimated. Clean up was done routinely. Wall repair was not done. After removal of the wallpaper, I received another bid for the wall repair which was excessive. I wished that I would have asked more questions about the process and projected cost of this second step before the original project began.

Sid and his crew are phenomenal. When we first hired Sid, it was just to repair and plaster the ceilings which were in terrible shape. When Sid finished the ceilings, they looked so good that we thought they were already primed and painted. After seeing the ceilings, we knew we had to hire Sid to do the walls as well. I highly recommend this company because of their fairness in pricing, excellent work, and reliability. Finally, we had one 8 foot wall going up the staircase that was significantly bowed in the middle. Sid's crew did at least five layers of plastering and sanding to even out the wall, usually a wall will take two to three pulls. Sid did not charge extra for this and allowed his team to keep working on the wall until it looked great. Thanks Sid for a job extremely well done.

They showed up when they said they would, cleaned up after themselves, and were courteous and polite. I was surprised at how little damage was done as I had caused significant damage when I removed wallpaper in other parts of the house. They then repaired the damage and did a good job. My only complaint is that wallpaper paste was left on the wall in some spots in the entryway, which caused some problems.

A great experience. Sid and his crew came every time they said, did a great job, cleaned up, recommended a few extra areas and charged a very fair amount. They removed and replaced bad plaster, skinned and skim coated all the ceiling and wall surfaces with real plaster, then sealed everything to make it hard and long lasting. These guys are pros and do a great job.

They also repaired cracked ceilings. They did an excellent job and I'd recommend them to anyone! For wallpaper removal, plastering, and re-surfacing, I'd say $5000 was a bargain for this big job.

IT TOOK SID AND HIS CREW 5 DAYS TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT. THEY WERE VERY PROMPT AND TIMELY ON EACH VISIT. THE WALLS WERE LIKE NEW UPON COMPLETION AND THE JOB SITE WAS CLEAN WITH NO MESS WAS LEFT BEHIND.

SID WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL, AND HIS CREW WAS THE SAME. THEY WORKED THOROUGHLY, AND QUICK. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THE MESS. THE FINISHED PRODUCT WAS WHAT WE NEEDED TO HAVE THE NEW WALLPAPER HUNG.

I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED AT HOW QUICKLY THEY COMPLETED THE JOB. OUR PROJECT WAS ON A TIGHT SCHEDULE AND SID WAS ABLE TO SQUEEZE US INTO HIS FULL SCHEDULE SO WE COULD CONTINUE ON.

SID WAS NEAT, WORKED QUICKLY, AND DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB. I WOULD DEFINITELY USE HIM AGAIN.
