Great. The salesman was easy to work with and talk through our space--actually helped us identify and purchase a cheaper carpet that met our needs just fine. Was able to walk in and make the transaction in less than 10 minutes. We used Matt for the install and he was great--came exactly when he said he would and was done exactly when he said he would be.
Description of Work: Sold us carpet for entire upstairs area (approximately 90 square yards)

Description of Work: I stopped in at Southside to look at carpet, and ended up buying an area rug. They bind their own rugs there--you can get any size you want, cut from the rolls of carpet (of course, they also install wall-to-wall). They were so helpful, friendly, and professional. I will definitely keep doing business with them.

Description of Work: Purchased carpet, a really good deal which I found out later online. Just a little off-putting that I was left to wander on my own the whole time. Or maybe not???

I told the person in the store that I just wanted a small section of carpet. When he discovered that there would be no large sale, he pointed towards a bin across the floor and lost interest. After buying the carpet there was no offer to help carry it to the car. Perhaps if you're buying a larger piece of carpet, your customer service experience will be better. I did not do any other shopping to compare prices, so the rating for "Price" is just a guess.

No need to buy carpet from anyone else. You will not beat Southside price - my purchase was 60% less than NFM for the same exact product. Tom and his crew treat you like family. This is one of those retailers that make the 'list' - a real gem. From the first phone call to the text with pictures to the purchase - got in, got out, and nobody got hurt.
Description of Work: Purchase commercial grade accent carpeting for a staircase. Installation was very reasonable and the quality of work was superb.

They had a good price for what they did. The carpets were of decent quality for the price.
Description of Work: I used Southside Carpet a while ago. The last time I used them was about a year ago.

Southside carpet is like a well kept secret in the area. I can't believe how cheap their carpet is. It's like a giant warehouse with concrete floors with big rolls of carpet-it's not fancy at all. The people aren't "sales people". You just tell them what carpet you want and they cut it off the roll for you. They also have super cheap remnants that are often large enough to do a whole room (like in this case). We have rental properties and have been down there many times for cheap carpet for our rentals or for the heavy expensive stuff for my own home. I have found that the same carpet that's $23-$30 a square yard elsewhere is $11-$15 a square yard at Southside for the exact same carpet. We put frieze in our rental house for $7.75 a square yard-not a square foot! They don't install but have cards of installers to choose from.
Description of Work: Purchased carpet for basement-$400 not including install.
