The workers on the wall removal and bracing the ceiling were very good. They kept the dust down to a minimum and cleaned up after each day. They were polite and as quiet as the job allowed, not loud music or loud talk. Very nice young men. The job was promised at a certain time and the owner took the crew off the job for nearly two weeks which caused a delay in getting finished on time. Not the crew's fault. Communication between the owner and us was lacking on their part. The floor is our issue. The laminate was removed and the backboard placed down to hold the 12x24 inch tiles. The tiles were laid uneven and we have no less than 17 tiles that hurt your feet as you walk on them. They are not flush as all our other tile floors are. We wore slippers all winter so we didn't feel them as we do now that we are barefoot. Again communication is a problem. The person who laid the tile came here three weeks ago and it has gone no further from there. The lady who answers the phone only says she is the messenger and that's all we get from her. A message was left for the owner with no response back. With no communication we feel hiring an attorney is our only recourse.

Response from SafeHouse Contracting
"Mr [Member Name Removed] told us to not worry about the wood floors because they needed to be sanded and refinished throughout the entire home. Everything was heavily scratch and pet vandalized as well. We have dated before and after pictures as verification. In terms of dust, we took several measures to contain the mess, but our remodel was through out then entire home, every room and the basement. Mess was cleaned daily and contained with dust screens where capable. Customers chose to take down the curtains in certain instances. We have photo verification of this as well. Furthermore, we upon completion did a detailed professional deep cleaning to placate the customer, as we did agree that the home had become quite dusty- however it was very dusty prior to us coming. The home was inhabited by a self proclaimed hoarder. 5 40 yard dumpsters were used to clean the property of garbage. We have photos of our entire project, and receipt for the professional cleaning company. The customer has a beautiful product, and a majorly improved home. The customer made no objections throughout the project either. We finished our project on time. and within the first original budget. The customers made many changes throughout the project that extended the original time quoted. Example being- replumbing the entire homes main waste systems, all new electrical in home, exterior siding, ect. But the home was unoccupied. and the agreed that time was not a factor, to simply get the job done well. If anyone would like to speak directly about this or see the project, we have wonderful photos of how the project turned out- designed by the home owner. Wonderful themes Thanks"
