Description of Work: I use Ryan Lawn to fertilize my yard and keep the weeds down. They do a great job. I have had problems with other vendors that don't listen to specific instructions. I have several areas that I have to overseed every spring due to shade. They remember to avoid those areas with the crabgrass preventer which allows my seed to germenate. They are very professional.

Description of Work: I contacted Ryan to feed, seed, and maintain the anticipated lawn. I asked the consultant what could be done about my backyard which was totally devestated and dead; should it be amended?, etc. He informed me that aeration was all that was required. I followed his advice and placed my trust in his experience and expertise. The backyard was aerated, seeded, fertilized, and whatever else he felt was necessary.

Description of Work: I don't know where to begin, I am so disappointed and angry. Last May my lawn came up absolutely beautiful. Ryan Lawn had done a good job. But then they came to put down fertilizer and weed killer, and succeeded in killing my lawn. The company's owner, Larry Ryan, came out and promised to have a lawn for me very soon. But all summer long, every time they seeded, the grass only grew in patches, then disappeared. Mr. Ryan told me to wait until spring 2009 and they would really go to work on my lawn. So I agreed. Two weeks ago they put down grass seed again and we watered as instructed. Sadly, the only place where actual grass grew was on a former flower bed that had not been sprayed last May. Then, for some reason, they came out last week and fertilized the patches of grass that were trying to grow and once again put down weed killer. I did not know they were going to put down weed killer. Had I known I would have objected. Weed killer on bits of grass trying to grow. As a result that application killed the patches that were struggling to grow. Now I have dirt with yellow patches of dead grass sinking into the mud that is my yard. My yard is dirt. Clearly I am not top of Ryan Lawn's list. I have been patient, polite, hopeful. I had to telephone to get the grass put down to weeks ago. Right now, Ryan Lawn knows that my yard is a mess. I called tonight and said that NOW I expected to be No. 1, and I will be reporting online how the problem is being addressed, now heading into a second year. I expect to see Ryan Lawn put their SIGN on my lawn, and come every day to look at it and take care of it until brown mud becomes green lawn. I have maintained for months that they need to remove the top layer of soil because nothing grows on the "over fertilized" dirt. They have decided to put down sod. I think they need to removed the contaminated soil before putting down sod, which will probably die as well when the roots reach the chemicalized soil.

Description of Work: I bought 5 applications and core aeration. Tired of doing it myself so decided to try Ryans as highly rated on Angies List. So far so good..just finished second application and aeration. Courteous and profesional personell. Responsive.
