+ -1 moreThe 3 trees now look great after the treatment. The treatment seemed to work as the trees are doing a lot better. If the trees do well this year, we can just continue the treatment. After last year, they treated them and the trees did really well. The trees had a little bit of loss of leaves and things, but they did well. They send an arborist out to give me advice. One thing we liked about them is that when the first treatment didn’t seem to be doing much, they came back and redid with no charge. It was nice. They sprayed during the second treatment, and they also offered us our money back. The trees got better after the spraying.
Description of Work: I used Ryan Lawn & Tree Service within the last 2 weeks. We had 3 Honey locust 3 trees that have a disease, and they have been treating them for 2 years now. For years, there was no problem at all. Two years ago, the trees had some kind of a webworm type disease. All the Honey locust trees in our area had that. Ryan treated it last year. We chose a treatment this time where they treat around the trunk of the tree. It was more natural and safe for the environment. We have also had a couple of estimates for tree trimming from them.

+ 0 moreI pay them every time they come out. Originally they were only in Kansan City but now they have grown a lot. They have been doing my yard for probably 7 years. They are a little more expensive but my yard stands out in the neighborhood. After they treated my yard, other people started using them because they could tell the difference. They do an excellent job.
Description of Work: Ryan Lawn & Tree Service does fertilization for my lawn. They came out within the last month and did fertilization and grub control in my yard.

I just didn't have the money to pay them at the time. They haven't done any work yet. I'm going to follow up with them and probably try to change the estimate they had given.

+ -1 moreThis is the first time I have used a lawn service. I initially had Gabe come out to give me a bid. I liked him and decided to prepay for the program. Prices are clearly very high compared to what you pay to do it yourself, but I decided to give it a try. I also received a discount for prepay. Gabe had said he would do the seeding the end of March or first of April. After that time had passed and I had heard from no one, I called the company. They said Gabe had left the company and someone else had been assigned. He called me that day and came out the next day I believe, to do the work. Both men were pleasant. So far I am satisfied.

+ 0 moreThey are nice and they come on time. They tell you about certain stuff that shouldn?t be growing on your lawn. They guarantee their treatment. My yard is 5000 square feet. The price that they charge is good and you get what you pay for. I have been using them for many years now.

+ -1 moreVery well. Shows up when says he will and sprays the tree. The tree is probably 50 feet tall and he uses like a firemans hose to reach the top. Sprays alot of the chemical needed and stays and talks to me about it every time. Will tell us to call him if the problem does not go away.
Description of Work: We have a locust tree that gets worms and webs that are a real pain in the neck, can cause the tree leaves to turn brown and fall off of tree. Ryan's sprays the tree for us every year (3 years now) and gets rid of the worms and webs. We are very happy with them. If the first application does not get rid of them, they will come back for no extra charge. Our seviceman is Pete DeGroot and he is excellent. I also call him from time to time to just ask questions. Very polite, friendly and always answers my questions.

+ -1 moreI was at work when the job was done, but when I came home I found that the tree was gone, leaving only the stump, and there was no damage to my driveway. There were some ruts in the yard where branches had fallen, but other than that, the area was very neat. A few days later someone else came out from Ryan and took out the stump. There was a separate charge for this of $308.00. I was quite relieved that possible future damage had been averted, and felt that, although expensive, the work was done right, and it was done safely.
Description of Work: I had a huge, fully mature elm tree in my front yard near the street, with branches over the power lines. In 2008 I noticed that it was not leafing out like it usually did, and in 2009 it had hardly any leaves at all. When some branches fell off into my driveway during a storm, I became concerned that more would hit the power lines or damage my drive. When I called Ryan, an estimator came out right away. He told me the tree had Dutch Elm disease, and asked how long it had been dead. When I told him the history of it, he said that since it had been over a year, OSHA rules required that they used a truck with a bucket to lift the workers up so they wouldn't be injured. I was actually relieved to hear that, as I was concerned about the safety of the people working on this big tree, especially since it was near the power lines. I expected it to be expensive, since the tree was so large, and they needed the truck, so I was not surprised by the quote of $1,936, and felt that it was reasonable.

Description of Work: I just bough a new house and have a yard that is in bad shape. There are thousands of acorns that sprouted in my front yard. The dwarf spruces have spider mites and the yard needs to be fertilized etc. My contact was responsive and got the job done quickly. I've used Ryan at my previous residence and liked their services. I was hoping to get some sort of a discount for being a returning customer, as there are lots of lawn service companies. I do have a big patch of poison oak and ivy growing in the back yard. A lot was removed when trees were cut down, but I want the remaining ivy destroyed. He will apply an application within the next week. I signed up for their lawn service program. If you can't afford every service, you can pick a la carte for just services you need or can afford at the time.
