RHODES FENCE

Can't use this company because I can't even get an estimate for another 11 days and I want a fence in within three weeks or so

I called their business number for an estimate during their business hours and only got a voice mail. Left a message with no reply. Waited since till June 13 since this is a busy time of year for fence companies. Got the voice mail again and I left another message. Again, no reply from them. Guess my business and money is not good enough for them to call me back. Will tell friends and family to steer clear of the company. To respond to the company's reply to this review. There was no message on their recording about July 21 what so ever. It is alittle hard not understand something when it wasn't on the recording. Based on their response they will never get any business from my family and friends. Just rude.

I called Mark Rhodes in mid-May to get an estimate for removing the old fence and replacing it with a 4-ft chainlink fence. I had cleaned out as much as I could of the trees, shrubs, ivy and what-have-you that were growing through the fence but there were still several small tree trunks that needed to be dealt with. Mark came out the next day and gave me a quote to remove the fence, cut the tree stumps down to ground level, and put up a 70-ft run of 4-ft chainlink fence with a gate. I had already received a quote from another company and was pleased to see that Mark's quote was $400 less. I called Mark to accept his quote a few days later. Mark explained that they were extremely busy and that it would take a little time before he could get to my project. This was no problem for either me or my neighbor. It took about 3 weeks before Mark could make it out to replace the fence, partly due to all the rain that we have been having. On Tuesday Mark told me that he would be getting to my project this week, but he wasn't sure exactly when, because of the rain. On Thursday I received a call from Mark saying that they would be at the house in about an hour. Mark and his crew arrived an hour later and proceeded to remove the old fence and all the trees/shrubs growing through it. A few of the tree stumps were stubborn and hard to deal with because the old fence was growing through the trunks, but they eventually were able to remove all of them. Mark and his crew wasted no time getting to work and completing the job. The entire job only took a few hours, including the time they spent cleaning up the area afterwards. The new fence looks great, especially since we don't have to look at all of those trees/shrubs growing through it any more. My neighbor and I love having a gate between our properties, - now our dogs can have play-time together. If I had to list one criticism, it would be that the company is very busy right now and I did have some trouble getting through to Mark - at one point they had quit taking calls because they were so busy - but because we were in no rush to replace the fence this was not a major concern for us.

Excellent job. This is a family-owned business and it shows. Mr. Rhodes and his sons were extremely courteous and eager to please. I asked for suggestions and they provided excellent advice and help. We had problems matching the neighbors fence and they came up with a solution. We had difficulty deciding how to work around some trees and they provided excellent suggestions. My wife and I are very pleased with the result. The fence is beautiful. They got it in early and at a very reasonable price. If you need a fence, don't hesitate to call Rhodes. You'll be glad you did.

The owner met with me personally and discussed the work. Also he suggested a design that would resist rot in the future and worked within our homeowner's association guidelines. He did a great job and was professional as well as courteous. I would work with him again and have recommended him to our neighbors.

Rhodes fence did a great job on our fence. Called them and they came out as soon as they could, to give us an estimate. It was competitive with everything else I had gotten from other companies. We liked the angies list reviews and went with Rhodes Fence. Great choice except for I waited to long to get back with them, and we had to wait a little longer to get our fence in. They just came out last Friday and set the posts and were done in a couple of hours the following Tuesday.

went as expected; mark and his team did a great job of working with us on the design choices. once we chose the style we wanted, schedule was set for 3 weeks out which worked fine for us. they came on the day expected on time. team was efficient and removed the fence, set the posts all in one day. came back 2 days later to build the fence. left the fence line clean and neat; left the entire job site cleaner than when they arrived. team was nice and very professional. overall, a fantastic experience. would use them again without hesitation.

It was a great experience! The entire crew was professional and great to have around! They were very attentive to all of our requests and addressed our concerns immediately! I can't say enough good about them!!!

I didn't end up using them because they are so booked out. He was very personable and very prompt with his estimate. He was really a nice guy.

Perfect job. Not only did they put up a nice fence, and fast, but they cleaned out all the brush and stuff that had gathered around the old fence. Very nice, very quick. Mark was easy to work with and was always there when we needed to talk. I highly recommend....

They were great. They were very hard workers. Even my neighbors told me while I was at work, that they just continued to work, they didn't take time off. They worked really hard.

They did a great job. In and out in a day. Cleaned up without a trace, well, except for the beautiful, new fence.

Mark came out to look at the job within 1-1.5 hours of my phone call. During our discussion of what I wanted done, he was very negative about doing parts of it, did not offer options without being urged to, and did not provide specifics on how the job would be done. He also made several comments that I discussed with two other fence installers and they both did not share his concerns. Mark did not work up an estimate on site, but told me he would email it to me by the end of the next business day. I did not receive it. I appreciated his rapid response in coming out to look at the job, but based on the inconsistencies of our discussion and the lack of an estimate, I chose to go with another company.

HIs price seemed fair; he was punctual and responsive. His plan was detailed and well outlined in writing. We ended up going with another bid because we had worked with the other company in the past. I would have felt comfortable hiring Rhodes for the job otherwise.

We could not be more thrilled with the work Rhodes did for us! We absolutely love our new fence! Mr. Rhodes was extremely professional, on time consistently, and used quality materials. He came out within two days to assess what we had, and got back to us promptly with a bid. We looked at their work and were very impressed. They literally transformed our back yard from a corner lot with a tired old fence falling in on itself to a sanctuary where we can let our dogs out without worry. While we used the same location for our new fence, Mr. Rhodes made sure to mention that one part of it was sitting on a storm sewer (which we hadn't realized). They offered us several options. Although they made sure were aware of the implications of doing so, we decided to leave it where it was, but they made every effort to accommodate us and to make sure that we were happy with the work. They even offered to help move it if we changed our minds with minimal new materials. They did a wonderful job (in the extreme cold, I might add), and we are very pleased we chose Mr. Rhodes and his team! We will certainly recommend them to anyone!

Workers came out on the day appointed to complete fencing along one side of our yard using remaining posts from our old fencing. They began work before I left. About an hour later I returned to find that workers had done about half the fencing with spaced slats. Due to a misunderstanding on the type of fence required, the workers needed to remove slats from a picket fencing and add more slats to provide the privacy fencing I required. Mr. Rhodes graciously stayed with the bid he gave, although more materials and work were required. I don't know how we had different ideas on the execution of the job, but Mr. Rhodes made good on my expectations.

Great job,quality materials. Only problem was the dirt from the post holes was tossed throughout the yard. When it rained the dog would have mud caked on her paws. Rohdes sent a couple guys out to clean up the yard. It helped but it will take a while for it to break down.

We were extremely pleased with Rhodes and the outcome of the fence. The new fence looks beautiful and they performed the job on time and for a significantly lesser amount than two other quotes we received for the project. The Rhodes team was very professional to deal with.

We received outstanding response via email and telephone. Rhodes fence provided accurate and detailed quotes, which were exact down to the final penny upon completion of the job. Provided superior follow up to insure our satisfaction and that our needs were met. We would provide Rhodes Fence as a referral to anyone including friends and family.

Mark came out a couple days after I called him to give us an estimate. He emailed the estimate within a couple of days. We had quotes from three or four different fence companies and Rhodes was the most reasonable as far as cost. He seemed knowledgeable and willing to do what we wanted done. We decided to add 50 more feet of chain link later on, and Mark gave us a quote right away. He did not charge extra labor for the extra 50 feet. We were very pleased with this, of course. I really liked the fact that they are a family operated business and Mark's wife was extremely pleasant. Their work was professional with outstanding quality. They listened to what we wanted and did great work. Everything went on schedule, and they finished within the week. They even worked in the rain a time or two. We are very happy with the end product. The fence looks great as far as we can tell so far. We have not inspected it in the daylight yet. We would definitely recommend them.

Received the bid today, and the price sounds reasonable. Planning on having the fence completed as soon as their schedule allows, so should be sometime next week.

We contacted Rhodes in spring (June) for a quote. They came out promptly and did the quote for us. After finishing all of our quotes and reading reviews on Angies list we decided to go with Rhodes after approximately a month (early July approximately). At that time, we let them know we wanted the fence. The rest of the summer went by without contact from them at all. My wife then called in Sept to see what was going on, and it appeared to us they may have forgotten about us. An important note however is they never asked us for any money up front. Once confirmed that it would not be to long from that point (late Sept.), we went ahead and had a survey done and got our permit from the city. Rhodes called one-stop as required. We happen to have a 8 inch gas/diesel line running through our backyard so they had to coordinate with that company while installing. They came out when that guy was available on a Wednesday. It turns out our yard is riddled with electric, cable and gas lines. Rhodes did an awesome job keeping our fence on the line by hand digging all trouble spots for all of the posts. They removed every bit of old fence. We were given no indication of when they would return to put up the pickets. It was the following Monday. That was a bit annoying to be without a fence for 4-5 days as our neighbor has a dog and we removed their fence (with permission) to put in this one. We are very happy with the end product. The fence looks great and the gates work flawlessly. They did everything we wanted including three gates and cutting a corner because of an electrical box. The crew was very nice while on site and left a clean yard when finished. We would definitely recommend them to all friends, family, and neighbors. It may require a little patience when working them, but it is worth it for the work performed.

Mark and his two sons were great to work with. Due to an altercation with our neighbors of the placement of the fence, Rhodes Fence went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with the final product. We ended up deciding to alter our original plan after some posts had already been installed and the Rhodes Fence team was very accommodating in making adjustments for our particular situation. I really liked the fact that they are a family operated business and I thought the quality of work that was completed was great. I would definitely recommend them to friends and would also use them again in the future.

Contacted in May for bid on fence. The bid was less than Roy and. Son. Went with Rhoades. said it would be completed mid June. but they had many other fence contracts to perform so it would be later. They were not real good at keeping us updated and we called several times for updates. It is small company and I was not in hurry to replace the old one. If you are in hurry they not be for you. I just waited until they arrived. Their work was professional with outstanding quality. They listened to what I wanted and did great work. they were worth waiting for. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The work done by Mark and his crew was top-notch. Mark worked with us on scheduling the work to be done based on our vacation and everything was completed when he said it would be. One of the requirements was for an extra large gate on one side, which they easily accommodated. We did have a concern that over time the extra weight of the door would be a strain on the two hinges. We asked Mark to add a third hinge on this large door, which he did at not additional cost. Rhodes Fence is very professional and I would highly recommend them.
