RHODES FENCE

The sellers of my new house agreed, in the contract, to fix the broken chain link fence before closing and allow me time to inspect their work. I left the way of doing the repair open to them as a way to offer some flexibility/potential ability to do it themselves. Their "fix" was an insulting mix of tent spikes and steel cable molded into triangles in an attempt to "match" the chain. Their fix didn't address the exposed corners and several holes. Unfortunately, their "fix" wasn't completed until 5 days before the closing (scheduled for a Friday)- leaving little time to get something done. When the real estate company rejected our proposal to simply have the sellers cut me a check for the estimated cost of a professional repair, I had to get a true professional to the house for an acceptable estimate- and repair- within about 36 hours (rejection was Wednesday afternoon). I called the top 5 fencing companies on Angies List- Mark was the only one who called me back and was able to meet me at the house within an hour on Wednesday night around 6 PM to take a look. I had an estimate within 3 hours (later that night) and was able to get on his crew's schedule for the following afternoon (Thursday). I went to the house Friday morning before closing and could not be more impressed with the result. To me, the standard of aesthetics of a chain link fence are NOT high, but Mark and his crew somehow made the fence look better- thoroughly addressing all of my concerns, leaving a clean yard and most importantly a safe and functional fence for my dog. I was pretty nervous about the timeline, and payment by the unreliable sellers, but Mark kept me updated every step of the way as to when they would be at the house so the sellers had a few hours notice as to when they could bring a check by. He even called me after they left to ask me to let me know if I had any concerns or questions about the work they had done. I cannot say enough nice things about this company, and in a few years when I am ready to install a privacy fence I will go straight to Rhodes.

Our experience with Mark and company was fantastic. He came out on the same day we called for an estimate. Mark is a very down-to earth guy - easy to talk to and he listens to your needs. Because we weren't sure of which style of fence we wanted, Mark gave us bids on 3 different designs, offering a suggestion on the design that we hadn't thought of. They were backed up with several jobs and couldn't get to us for about two weeks, but they showed up on the day scheduled, on time, and got straight to work. Although our job was small (only about 120 feet of privacy fence) it was completed in only 4 hours, including tearing out the old fence. The yard was completely cleaned up afterward, the fence looks fantastic, and we are very happy. I would recommend Mark to anyone interested in quality work from a man who does what he says he will do.

As the owner of the company, Mark was on the job from beginning through to completion overseeing the work and communicating with us during the installation. He was punctual, delivered quality work as promised, and pleasant to work with. Unusually good customer service!

I couldn't be more pleased. From the first phone call to request an estimate, every aspect of this job was completed timely and professionally. And I thought the cost to be very reasonable. I had found a fence design and Mark was able to create the look that I so hoped for. The fence is extremely well made and beautiful! I know that I will enjoy it for years to come. I would definitely use Rhodes Fencing again and highly recommend them.

Called to get an estimate to install fence at the time my son took possession of a new house. They came out promptly and gave us another alternative to installing 32 feet of fence in a less expensive way. They came promptly and actually came twice because the first time they came, there was no one home and a car was parked where the fence was to go. They promptly came out again and installed the fence as described.

Mark came out to give us a bid within a few days of my call. We wanted more than one estimate on fencing a portion of the backyard and the entire backyard as our lot is very large as well as the type of fence (i.e., spacing between the bars). Mark provided all estimates the next day. He followed up with a phone call while we were waiting to have the fence approved by the HOA. He informed me when he called the utilities to have the lines marked and asked that I let him know as soon as the lines were marked so the install could be scheduled. When I called to inform him, the install was scheduled within two days. They waited to remove the existing fence until after the new fence was installed so our dog could still use the smaller fenced yard. One company which provided an estimate wanted to remove the existing fence first, which would have been easier on them, but more of an inconvenience for us. Mark and his crew were very friendly and easy to work with despite the 100+ temperatures. The only slight mis-step -- the posts for the 5-ft gate were initially set for a smaller gate. (Mark and I did a walk-through on the morning the posts were being set and we discussed one gate, but not the other, so I share the responsibility there.) I called Mark the night the posts went up and he immediately said they would be re-set the next morning, no problem . The posts went up on Thursday, the fence went up on Friday, the gates were installed and the old fence removed on Monday. I would certainly use Rhodes Fence again without any hesitation.

Rhodes was the lowest bid of 5 that we received. When we initially called to set up an estimate, we were told they would be out the next Wed. "around 1". We received a call that Wed that they would be out the next day. Based on that - I wouldn't have used them because this is a pet peeve of mine. However, Mark was very friendly and gave off a good vibe so we put them back in the running. We had to call them to get our quote because of a miscommunication on our email address and we never received it. Once we decided to go with them, it did take 1 email and 2 phone calls to get the process started. The guys did the job in 3 business days - split by a weekend so it seemed like forever when it really wasn't. When complete they did a full walk around and answered all of our questions. The reason I give them a 'B' on professionalism is because they were smoking in our backyard while working. This didn't necessarily bother me, but it isn't very professional and may bother others. I do need to note, that the company they used to do the marking for the electrical lines did miss one and our neighbors cable line was cut, they weren't too happy. Based off the price, the speed of the work, and the down-home friendliness of these guys, I would and have been recommending them. .

We had a fantastic experience with them. They were timely and professional. They were very clear about setting expectations and following through. They did a very nice job.

I learned of Rhodes Fence from Angie's list. Mark Rhodes came out to the house within a day or two of our calling to take a look at what we wanted. He was clear about what we needed (a city permit and a copy of the plat to clarify some odd looking lot dimensions). He arranged for the utility companies to come out and give the go ahead. I called Mark as soon as the utility visits were made and he set a start work date (which matched what he said it probably would be when he first came out). It took a few days to have the fence installed (the concrete needed to set well before the fence was put up, as it is a 6 foot high fence). The 2 gates were customized as the fence is on a slight slope, and they look great. The 2 men who put up the fence were on time, worked hard- professional and friendly. I have nothing but praise for Rhodes Fence!

I called Rhodes Fence, left a message and owner, Mark Rhodes, returned my call promptly. Mark was quick to come out and give me an estimate to rip out and haul away my old 4 ft fence, install a new 6 ft cedar privacy fence. I received three estimates and Rhodes fence was considerably less than the others. After deciding to go with Rhodes, I set up a date of 4/2/12 to start the job. On April 2nd, the team of 4 workers arrived around 10 am to start ripping out the old fence. I was amazed how fast the old fence and posts came down. Before I knew it they had all the posts out and were drilling and setting the new posts. They finished setting all the posts by 3pm, cleaned up and were done for the day. The posts then sat until the April 5th (we had two days of very bad weather). The team came back the morning of the 5th and got started putting up the rails and then cedar planks. Again, they worked together very quickly and efficiently. They were done by 3pm, cleaned up and left. The yard was left exactly as I had it before they started. I was very pleased with the entire process. The fence is great, exactly what I wanted. It really changes the look of my yard! I would definitely recommend Rhodes Fence to anyone needing a new fence. The price was outstanding and the workers very professional. I was very happy with my decision to use Rhodes Fence.

They did a great job. They were really considerate to my neighbors while doing the job as well.

They did give me a good low price. They showed up on time and they did the work. They did quality work and they were good all around. The price was as good as it came I guess. It was the lowest price. I will use them again in the future if I need to.

Rhodes was quick to respond to my initial call as well as visit my home and provide me with an estimate. Their pricing was the lowest of all estimates received. I was on a time crunch to have this work done and they were able to accommodate my schedule which I greatly appreciated. After deciding to go with Rhodes, I was told they would be at my home on Monday morning and that I needed to be home. My mornings start early and since an exact or estimated time was not given, I ended up needing to call day of to find out when they planned to arrive so I could plan the rest of my day around them. Unfortunately, I had to do the same on the second day. I take on half the blame because I should've known to ask. Install was great. Service was great. Price was great. I would definitely use Rhodes again and refer to others however, I would mention that if you're on a tight schedule to narrow down a time for arrival.

Mark Rhodes gave me a detailed estimate just as I requested splitting out costs of various parts of the fence so I could provide shared costs to my neighbors. He listened to exactly what I wanted and carefully detailed it in his proposal. Other contractors I contacted were not nearly as professional as Mark. His son Richard supervised the actual work and made sure everything was to my satisfaction. The quality of materials used was very good and the workmanship was excellent. I would highly recommend Rhodes Fence Co. and would gladly use them again. They also did some minor work on my neighbors fence and he was very happy with the work they performed for him.

Mark showed up as scheduled for estimate. Work began on May 9 as scheduled and was completed on May 12. Work was completed quickly and no debris were left behind,

I had already received one quote, and Rhodes was a lot cheaper. The owner was very knowledgable and creative in working around obstacles in the yard (utility box and storm sewer). The price was exactly the same as the quote. The work was done on the two days that was scheduled. The finished fence was exactly what was discussed. The two young men doing the work were very professional.

They were very good. We have no complaints. They were punctual.

We spent maybe $2000 on that service. He gave us a bid on the job and was real responsive. He did what they said he was going to do and when he said he was going to do it and did a great job.

This seems to be a family business. The sons of the owner actually did all the work. They worked straight through each day that they came. The first day they pulled out the old fense, the second day they installed the posts and the third the actual wood fencing. This was a hard working crew. Very professional.

I decided to hold off and wait until spring to get the work done. They also gave me some suggestions. I think the estimate was about $2200. I am putting my house on the market and so I don?t know if I would like to put more money on this house or not. The estimator did everything and it was fine. I would use their services in the future.

We needed a 6' privacy fence. They came out to give and estimate the day after we called. Very professional. We took their low bid and they started within a week and were done - start to finish in 3 days, including haul off. They cleaned up everything. We will call them back for some other work!

We needed to fence our backyard for two dogs we recently adopted. I acquired several estimates and chose Rhodes because he was the only company to offer advice such as a 5' chainlink verses a 6', or moving the fence back a few feet so the dogs would not be able to scratch the screen windows, though most importantly, he gave me an estimate for a privacy fence - even though I didn't think I wanted a privacy fence. He was the ONLY contractor to make those three suggestions. We were several weeks out since we first had to remove several trees that were in the path of the fence. When we were ready, we called Rhodes and they set a date. They also made arrangements for the utility lines to be marked. We had a four day delay due to heavy rains. Mark kept in contact with us to let us know when they would start. They set the posts on a Friday, then began nailing support boards the next Tuesday. The fence was done before noon on Wednesday. We love it and our dogs love it. Several neighbors came by that night to get a "tour."

One of the best contractor experiences I have had with my recent remodel project. Kudos to Rhoades.

I called twice and left a message, which they never returned. I also spoke to someone who said that they would call me back later, and they never did. I saw several reports on Angie's List saying they were good, so I was disappointed that I wasn't even able to get them to come out for an estimate.

I got a number of bids for this job and except for one company all of them were at or about the same price. As a result, I also looked for someone who talked as if he knew what he was doing and listened to my concerns as well. As it turned out, Mark Rhode's bid was the least expensive. Mark Rhodes was the only one who gave me an estimate who followed up a few days later. That persistence helped make the decision for me, as well. The weather kept his company from completing the job as scheduled, but Mark kept in contact with me, and three young men showed up the day Mark said they would and completed the job. We are quite pleased by the job they did. In fact, three neighbors approached them about getting bids. I was particularly impressed by their clean-up. One young man dutifully walked around and picked up what would have been any remnant of the job.
