Mike M. giving the estimate and follow up to the actual work as great. He was really informative and gave me multiple options to work with to stay within budget and help me resolve the issue. I was super confident about getting the work done. After a week delay because the crew got stuck on a problem job. No biggie there. But when came time to do the work I found I should have gotten so much more in writing. I agreed to keep the dirt dug out because I was provided they would spread it on my side yard. Nope, I’m now sorting out how to spread this large pile and it’s ending up costing me more money and time. I also was under a different understand of where and how the sump pump would be draining than was actually the case. If I use them again I will definitely make sure whatever is agreed upon with the sales person is well documented in the contract.

They moved me up on the schedule several weeks when they had a cancellation. The team was early, professional and took the time to explain everything they needed to do to me and show me the work when they were done. They offered to come back and follow-up on the job and if I still see any water they'll repair it at no cost.

After a severe drought a couple years back left my foundation badly cracked and sunken in on one corner of our house, my wife and I started our search for the right company to fix it. We spent several months getting estimates, researching local foundation companies, reading reviews and talking to friends and neighbors. One of the companies we called out for an estimate was Olshan. Zac came out to do our estimate, he came prepared and was a super nice guy. He probably spent an hour and half with us explaining anything we wanted to know about foundation repair and gave us detailed information and measurements of our property and even drew pictures to help us understand every application of past and present techniques used in the industry and their pros and cons. He was very thorough and patient with us which was very generous considering they don't charge for the estimate. After talking with our direct neighbors about their repairs we learned that Olshan stands behind their lifetime transferable warranty with no hassle. Our neighbors were very pleased with Olshan and strongly recommended them to us, so we called Zac and scheduled our repair. We were originally scheduled six weeks out, but told him if something opened up sooner we would gladly take it. Two days later we got a call from Zac saying if wasn't too soon they could get us in the next week due to a cancellation. Monday morning these guys showed up right on time, introduced themselves and got right to work. By Thursday evening everything was completed and cleaned up like they were never there and Zac came by to check their work and answer any new/remaining questions. Then to top it all off, the final invoice ended up being slightly cheaper than the estimate. Who does that? Hats off to Zac and the entire team at Olshan. They greatly exceeded our expactations and I would absolutely use them again.

Original work was done as promised, although I had to get additional work done by another company only 2 years after they completed their system. i noticed about 4 months ago that the front (south) wall of my house was bowed significantly, indicating that the wall Olshan had anchored had been pushed inward. I contacted Olshan and they scheduled a tech to come out and take a look. My basement wall was now finished, and the tech indicated I would need to take it down to expose the anchors, determine what repairs would be needed. I made an appointment for a month later, and was told that I could get first avaiable since both my wife and I work. On 6/26, no one showed up until 10:30, and only after I made 3 calls to the office, without getting a call back until I was already on my way to work, having given up on them. They worked a little over an hour, and told me they were done. When I asked why the wall didn't return to its original position, I was told a manger would contact me to discuss my issue. I made 4 calls to the office over the next week, none of which were returned until I raised a big stink with the operator. On 7/6, I spoke with a manager who told me the anchors were tightened, and were working as designed. My question was how could the wall have moved so far if the anchors were doing their job? I was told that he would be happy to read the warranty to me, and that it covers only retightening of the anchors, not prevention of the wall moving. Just what a homeowner looking for a solution wants to hear. Clearly their system doesn't work, because they no longer use either system they installed at my house merely 5 years ago. The whole reason I hired them was to stop inward motion on my front wall, and clearly their solution didn't do that. Beware if you hire this company. Getting them to even show up on time for warranty work, or return a call, much less stand behind their product requires patience and persistence. My wall is now in much worse shape than when I hired them, and I am going to have to hire someone else to get it done right.

Edgar made my life easier by allowing me to feel safe. I had multiple projects to complete and needed to leave my home often. BIG TRUST factor established by Olshan staff. Impressed by the follow up and continual follow through of the Project Manager. Project went so well my neighbor has already signed on to work with Olshan peering up their home. I compared my pricing with my back neighbor's and feel like olshan pricing was extremely fair.

From the receptionist, to the estimate, to work performed, I couldn't be happier. By the time we had Olshan come out for a bid, we had already had estimates from four other foundation repair companies. It took about two weeks to get someone to come out to give us an estimate, which wasn't a big deal for us. Heath was the technician that reviewed the area and gave us our bid. From the start, we could tell that he was knowledgeable and not just repeating some script from the GM. He reviewed the area and explained the technicalities of why he thought certain things where needed, and didn't try to oversell(like so many other companies!) He answered our questions professionally. He even extended a 10% discount if we booked the same day. By that time we were ready to make a decision and Olshan was the best deal for reasons more than just the sticker price. The receptionist, Rose, was fantastic through the whole process, and was able to get us on the schedule earlier than expected due to a cancellation. The foreman, Jairo, was professional and his crew were extremely hard working and respected my property. Jairo took the time to explain the process and what we could expect in the future due to the repair. The GM even came out to assess progress and answer questions. We were surprised that he did because we didn't have any issues or complaints with anything. Excellent experience!

Once they left the work site, we were on our own. At this time we are still fighting the cracks, and now the other side of the house will require supports. We will not be using them!

We got three bids. They were the highest but seemed the most knowledgeable and professional. They did everything they said they would do. The crew was very professional and very nice. They came on time and worked extremely hard. There was no loud music or yelling. The process was noisy but they were not. They put down plastic when they had to be inside the house. Was it a mess? Yes. Is there still things to fix, like our patio? Yes. But that is not Oshan's fault. I am just saying it is a messy process. I would recommend them and use them again.

I went to their website to request an estimate. I was unsure if my issue was a foundation issue or not. They sent me an e-mail with questions to fill out. I did my best to answer them. They refused to even come look at my issue to help me figure out the cause or what category the issue would be. How these people have had good reviews on Angie's List is beyond me. I was treated like a number, not a potential customer. I was disregarded in every way. The e-mail response they sent me caused incredible fear over what might be happening and looks as though it was a completely innacurate assumption. But then they would not even cone look at it. I then contacted the people at Dry Basement and Brett Harrington Home Pro. They are both responsive and are willing to come and look and see what he actual situation is. I give Olshan an F. It was like dealing with a credit card company or a big bank. Ridiculous.

Olshan doesn't stand behind its work. the crew left behind a huge mess--i was scrubbing walls for a whole day to remove mud they left behind. the work that was done was shoddy at best. their inspection agent is employed by olshan... so, of course the work will always pass. we notified the company ~ 1 year after the initial work was done because our basement continued to have problems. well, they ended up selling us thousands more in repairs. when we continued to have a wet basement, we asked for someone to come look at it. salesman that came out said nnothing was wrong, so they sent the KC district mngr out. he was not helpful and even stated to me, "well, ma'am, you can't prove that we didn't do the job correcftly now can you". bottom line, run fast and far from olshan. can't believe nolan ryan sold his name to them.

Overall we were very pleased with their work and would gladly recommend them.

I am not happy with this company. I had quotes from several different companies, and you see their commercials on TV all the time. I think what they do is give you a real low ball quote, and it seems to me that they do their work so they will have to come back. I don't feel that they were going to do a correct job for us. I think they gave me a low price just to get my business. The person that came out to give the quote was very professional, so to all appearances they are a real good company, but I doubt their integrity. I would not use their company in the future. I would not refer them to anyone.

This service was horrible, they took our money and never fixed the problem. I could not understand the workers because they did not speak english. The owner would never contact me back and the BBB has done nothing. I have tried to contact the owner and the BBB many times. Please stay away from this service provider.

They worked on our home 4 additional times attempting to repair the damage they caused from over lifting a corner of the house on the first attempt. Each repair attempt created new damage. Total estimated costs for repairing this damage is set at about $65K based on other contractor estimates including replacing part of the existing foundation and brick work. This cost does not reflect the damage to floors and interior of the home. Beware..this company advertised themelves as being fully insured as stated in their contract. They were not but rather had a self-insured retention of $150K meaning that their Insurance company cannot be filed against unless the damage they caused is over $150K. Beware...the certified engineer report they stated we would receive after completion turned out to be a form letter signed by an engineer in Houston, Texas who has never seen our home. Also beware that this company does not use an on jobsite certified engineer but rather certifies their own employees to perform supervision of foundation work. It is also important to note their contract contains a mandatory arbitration clause which once signed precludes any action being taken against them in a civil court. Costs of arbitration are exceedingly high. We were told by the American Arbitration Association that there was an initial filing fee of $1800.00 plus $350.00 per hour for each arbitrator which we would have to pay for in addition to our own attorney fees. Then there was the small matter of their crew using our yard as a bathroom & the destruction of a newly planted flowerbed containing $300+ shrubs and flowers. To date, Olshan's only written response to us was to tender a written offer of $1500.00 for our troubles.

The workers arrived on time. The work went as planned over the three days it took to complete. My only complaints were they left my basement very muddy. They did sweep up any loose dirt/mud from the floor but the tile floor was still a mess. Also the contract states that they may need to move shrubs to get to installation areas. "Any item removed will be replanted but they are not responsible for damage to landscaping." The workers instead of removing a yew plant tried to trim back the shrub. They trimmed a 4' high, 6' diameter bush to two small twigs in the ground. I withheld a small amount from the total bill and did hold them responsible since they did not take reasonable care with the plant. Contractor has agreed to reduce price to compensate me for the damage. I did appreciate the foreman taking the time to verify that my doors would still close properly. However, upon them leaving I found that one door did close but could not be locked. I had to reset the deadbolt to secure the house. We did have some cracks in the walls and ceiling near the outside wall being repaired. I was told it could happen, I just wasn't expecting how severe they would be. So now I am looking at about $750-1000 more for repairs.

The work was pretty extensive. We had two or three estimates and they were able to work around the budget that we had. They were able to do a good job and take care of our problem for less money than the other estimates we got. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. They did the work when they said they would and they did a good job. We were happy about the whole experience with them.

I got the impression that Olshan is an OK company. The Olshan rep was very nice and very professional. He even came equipped with a laptop to provide drawings with his estimate. We did not chose Olshan because their company did not offer mud-jacking in addition to piering. The rep informed me that Olshan sub-contracts mud-jacking out as required, and that he would get back with me on the possibility of arranging both. We chose to go with another company that did offer both peiring and mudjacking because we were more comforatable with that type of comprehensive arrangement, and also becuase the Olshan rep was not timely enough to get back with us.

The job was completed in 3 1/2 days when the weather was below 25 degrees. The team worked together a great deal. Aside from the foreman, they all spoke Spanish. They did very neat work. They hand dug everything, so I did not have big equipment tearing up my yard. They were extremely punctual - and no "lollygagging around."

They sent a quick response to my email letting me know that they currently were not servicing my area.

Even though the job was too small for this company to do, they were very helpful in suggesting someone that could do the work and explained to me exactly the work that needed to be done. They even provided me an estimate of what cost I should expect to pay for the repairs.
