Nick Triano Plumbing

I thought I was calling for an estimate, Nick Triano was at my house for 10 minutes and determined my leak was a caulking issue in need of a handyman, not a plumber. He wanted to be paid $130.00 for the service call without fixing my issue. His attitude was brash and rude. He spoke over me when I asked questions about his fees and that most of his competitors offer free estimates. I ended up paying him in full to get him out of my house and end the uncomfortable conversation. I told him he should talk rates upfront in the future. This was an extremely unpleasant experience one that I don't feel would have happened if I was a man. I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone.

Gas water heater replacement $1125. and new toilet with isolation valve install. In at 8:15, out by noon. No fuss, good price.

Had trouble actually finding a time for Nick to come. He doesn't like to schedule specific times.

I called Nick and within 90 minutes he was at my house. He even called to notify me when he was a few minutes away. He was very professional and very friendly. The whole job took him 15-20 minutes, and then he instructed me on some general plumbing in my home.

It went very well. He replaced and sealed all the hardware and that solved the problem. He is going to return to install another spogot on the outside of my house. The estimate he gave me seems quite reasonable.

This was a difficult repair and I had anticipated that when I hired Nick. I would have attempted it myself if I thought I could do it. The previous faucet was not repairable since the 23 old stem was broken. To replace the faucet, Nick had to cut in to the ceiling in a finished portion of the basement to access the old faucet. He also had to chip concrete out of the opening around the old valve. Basically the old valve had been mortared in to position. Overall, this was not your typical valve replacement. It took Nick approximately 3 hours (I actually didn't time it) to do the repair including a run to get parts. I am very happy with the quality and cost of Nick's repair. He had been recommended to me by my daughter who had used him on a plumbing problem at her home. She and I will call him again with future plumbing needs.

It went well. He gave us some tips that helped and went ahead and re-caulked one spot that was possibly leaking water. All the information was very helpful. He seemed very honest and professional and I would hire him again.

Excellent!! Prompt service. Nick's price was half of what another plumber on Angie's List bid. Would highly recommend him.

Nick's great — first, he quickly fixed a leaking kitchen sink sprayer nozzle by hand, in about a minute, without having to get a new part. Then he went to Plumber's Friend to get parts for the bathroom faucet and the outside faucet. The outside faucet parts weren't exactly right. After another trip to the parts shop and some phone conversation, it turned out that the company has discontinued the model we have. Nick explained the difference in cost between replacement and repair of the whole faucet, and was able to repair it to my satisfaction.

Nick has done several plumbing jobs at my house from installing new water lines throughout the house to fixing faucets to installing hot water tank to installing new disposal. Prices varied for each job.

It cost about $600 for the commercial toilet. I thought it was a fair price. He is very efficient. It was incredible. I called him yesterday and he said he would give me an estimate. He called back today, gave me the information, and said that he had a little time and asked if I wanted him to do it now. Last time, I called about three different plumbers from Angie’s List and left my name. One said that he could get to me later in the afternoon. Nick called and said that he can do it right away. He comes out and he is very efficient. He is just what you need. He is very nice.

Older home needs new water lines. More work to be scheduled.

I called Nick first and he said that he was not available and then I called him back and told him that I needed somebody today and he said, "Well, I would like to do it so I will come now. I will come in like 45 minutes. I am just down the street." So, he came and looked at it and he did a couple of replacement of the parts and then he said, "Well, we are going to have to replace the sink and he gave me a recommendation of a sink and then I said that he could do it tomorrow because it was a holiday today and then he called me back an hour later and said, "I can come and do it now." So, he got the sink and he came and did it. He also helped me with some advice for a couple of other things in my bathroom. He did it within a couple of hours. The price included the new sink and everything. I do not really know the different prices for such service but he did a good job and he did it fast and that was what I paid for.

I got 4 estimates from providers on Angie's list and each one had similar ideas, slightly different work plans but wildly different prices. Nick Triano came in with the lowest price. He didn't put the estimate in writing so we had some misunderstandings over what was agreed but worked them out amicably. Nick did a good job for a descent price. I would rate him a handyman more than a craftsman. He had to get into the wall under the kitchen sink and did not repair the wall. He did not say he would so I don't fault him but it will matter if I need someone who has to take out wall in the future.

Nick is awesome! He took care of multiple issues around my house for far less $ than some of the other bids that came in. Plus he's just a cool guy to have around! He will be my plumber for life.
