Description of Work: Steam cleaned living room/dining room, stairs and hallway. Very efficient, extremely professional and the carpets looked like new. The stairs from the garage were really spotted and they were cleaned to my surprise.

Description of Work: I used Musser's Advanced Carpet Care for carpet cleaning in several rooms of my house.

Description of Work: We have had our carpets cleaned by Musser's for years. We have an old beat up carpet over 15 years old and we are always amazed at how clean they get our carpet especially since we have 4 dogs and 10 kids. There technicians are always cordial with great information. There technician told us that a lot of newer carpets are made of recycled materials and are much harder to get clean than older carpets. This was great information for us. They are very reasonably priced and work quickly and efficiently.

Description of Work: This company saw me coming and totally took advantage of our situation. We called Musser's (everyone else was busy) and asked them to clean up some rain water on new carpet (approx. 250 sq. ft.) and they quoted me 129.00 for the service charge and if we wanted micro-ban another 45.00. The fan was 25.00. We agreed to a 169.00 charge and they came out. First thing when the tech arrives is he tries to say: "Well we charge another 99.00 an hour" - I was like "WHAT?, that was never mentioned" - he quickly agreed to do the job for the 129 + the extras and went on his way (is this some standard practice they employ if your female????????). They did a VERY poor job of extracting the water from the carpet - as when they left - it was still very wet. We brought over extra fans and dehumidifiers to help compensate for their incompetence. Then the fun part. The tech told me that when he came out to pick up the fan - he would be happy to bring a stretcher and put the carpet back down for us and that we should be able to do this late the next day since they were there so early in the morning. He also said there would be no charge for this since they had to come and get the fan anyway. Great I thought....ugh. Keep in mind this all happened 3 days prior to an appraisal. Day of the appraisal...we arrive promptly at 8:00 - appraisal was at 10 and the carpet is still torn up - fan going and no sign the carpet people even attempted to come back. I called them immediately and they agreed to send someone out immediately. I think GREAT - this is going to get solved. This NEW tech steps into the house and the cash register starts dinging...wants to charge for picking up the fan A DAY LATE - wants to charge for putting the carpet back down and this will all cost me - another 129.00 + late fan charges. I am at this point LIVID. I call the office and speak with (won't mention her name) that is nasty - rude and totally unwilling to accept the situation that HER company created - and proceeds to tell me that if I want it done - I will have to pay the 129.00. Well - since I have a huge deadline I reluctantly agree. Then they call me back AGAIN and say "Now we don't take AMEX, we want payment in full via check or we will not come out again" - I am like W** - you take my AMEX once and now you won't? Well see, cheats like this company - have to answer to AMEX when things like this happen - so it is not so easy to bend people over when they use AMEX - I use no other credit card and will not do business with people if they do not use AMEX. This is the first problem I have ever had in the 10 years of using my AMEX, but I am grateful I carry it and use it. Ultimately, Musser's hung up on me and never came to finish their job since I was not willing to drive all the way across town and hand deliver them a check. I have told every single person in my life about this and I warn you - stay away from this company if you care about your home, your carpet and the size of your wallet.
