KELLER'S LANDSCAPING

Generally it went well. Unfortunately the weather became an issue and there were delays. The crew did come and worked in the worst weather to get the lawn completed before the more severe weather hit us. The snow and ice will delay how the job will be judged.

Overall it went well. The weather caused delays but they have always been responsive. Worked directly with the owner on all matters which was appreciated.

The new wall is beautiful! The work was completed within the agreed upon time period, the employees were professional, and the owner followed up to make sure that I was happy with the work. I highly recommend this company.

The work went very quickly and was well done. They will be back this spring (2019) to put in a drain under our driveway. Good work. You get what you pay for.

These guys are terrible. Had watch everything they did or you will have flower beds with metal, rock and anything else that might be available. This was complete nightmare of a project. Took 4 weeks to do a weeks worth of work. BE WARE!!!

They responded propmply. They did a plan for us and provided us with a bid and the documentation. It is customary to pay for the plan to be done, which we did. They would have deducted the cost of the plan from the job. We went with a different company, but I would definitely contact them for a bid. They did a good job for us. The reason I chose a different company was that I just had a better chemistry with the other designer.

The crew showed up on time, took special care around the sprinkler and outdoor lighting, and replaced the grass in such away that we had no problems getting it to grow again.

I had many estimates before going with Keller's, each had a different idea of how to fix my water problem and what it should cost. When Jim Keller gave his estimate it wasn't the cheapest that I had gotten but his plan to fix my water problem sounded the best and he was confident that it would work. It's turned out to be the best money I've spent since buying this house. The drainage they installed is still working tremendously and my backyard dries after a rain as it should where before it would remain wet for a week or more after a big rain. The work was completed in three days as said and the crew was well behaved and professional. You get what you pay for, I would recommend them for any landscape project.

The price was too high, and they couldn't or wouldn't do the work that I was looking for. I was looking to use wood timbers but he wanted to use concrete landscaping blocks so he gave me a quote on that and it was just way too expensive. I did have a good impression of the person they sent out to do the quote.

BAD

After initial contact with Keller's everything went well. There was a several week delay in starting the project, due to all of the wet weather. That was not a problem for us and Kellers explained that we would be a few weeks out. The job was quoted to take 2 days, which I understood as 2 days of work. We proceeded to do some of the prep work ourselves, so the work would be limited to our property and not have to impact our neighbors yard. That was our choice, Keller's did not ask us to do that. They did contact me the day before the work was to start. 2 workers arrived that morning, I think around 9:00 AM. I spoke with them about not wanting anything to happen on the neighbors lawn, which necessitated them having to move some of the stone by hand instead of using equipment. They ran out of stone late afternoon and had to call to have some more delivered. Both workers waited over an hour for the stone to arrive. The stone finally came and they left the job, in about 6 hours. After my husband and I inspected the job that evening. We felt there should be some fill dirt on the back side of a few of the stones and some stones replaced with larger stones. I contacted Kellers and was told they normally don't use fill on the backside. After some discussion, it was agreed they would do that and replace a few of the stones. I think it was a couple of days later they came out to make those adjustments. Job was completed.

He was very knowledgeable. He was very quick to get back to me. He gave me great ideas but we just ended up going with someone else.

I'm still working with them. They gave me the quote last year but I didn't hire them until recently to do the work. The quote was for $10000. My experience with them is very good. Jim Keller's the person that I've been dealing with, I'm not even sure if he is the owner but he's been absolutely excellent. He returns my phone calls within a very short period of time and it's never more than twenty four hours. He's just a nice personable person and very helpful.

Better than I imagined! Service:Jim Keller met with me shortly after I requested an estimate and he provided me an estimate on the spot, which he stuck to through the end of the project. He volunteered to make himself available to meet with my neighbors, as the retaining wall impacted their property. The neighbors had some specific concerns about their side of the wall and Jim continued to communicate with them throughout the project to make sure that they were satisfied. Jim's openness was a relationship saver between us neighbors! The team working on the project was very cheerful, even in the heat hitting 100F. Price:I sought three estimates. Jim's sub-total was exactly the same as the most comparable bid. Except that Jim's sub-total included tree removal while all other estimatators wanted to refer me elsewhere for the tree stump, as it had grown into the wall and would be difficult to grind. Result:Excellent! The wall is as beautiful as the pictures from Pavestone. I am glad that I invested in capstones because they give it a finished look. The drain job went well too.
