Kansas City Tent & Awning Co

We placed an on-line request for information from Kansas City Tent and Awning and got a telephone call from them in less than an hour. We did the same thing with two other companies and never heard from them. We spoke with Jim Geha on the telephone and got a price estimate based on the size dimentions we gave him. We set an appointment with him to come out and look at our deck cover the following week. Jim measured all aspects of the deck cover and frame. He sent us the final price estimate later that afternoon which was just a small amount different than his first cost estimate. We made our decision to go with Kansas City Tent and Awning and then Jim came out for a second visit to measure a few things one last time before the production started. As stated by Jim, the production time frame for our cover would be about three to four weeks. They were out here on the fourth week to install our new deck cover. It looked great and it fit the frame perfectly. We were totally satisfied with their work.

We were very pleased with the result. The have been in business since the turn of the 20th century, so they have some experience.

During the winter months with the heavy snow, my old awning fell down on one side of the porch and needed to be replaced with a new awning. I called KC Tent & Awning and spoke with Jim Geha about my situation. I let him know that not only did I need a new awning but I also had to have gutter work before awning could be installed. Jim told me that he would call me in the next day or two with a quote on new awning after he took measurements and that I did not need to be at home for him to take measurements. Jim called back the next day with the quote and let me know that you pay 1/2 down and balance after installation. He told me to let him know. I called back to set up appointment and me and my mom met with Jim. Jim was very kind and courteous and after working out all of the details, he told me that he would call once complete and ready for installation. Jim also told me that if I was not ready for installation due to gutter work having to be done first, no problem. KC Tent & Awning is an excellent company and excellent prices. From the first step to the last (installation crew), I was extremely pleased with their professionalism, promptness, patience and kindness. I absolutely have no complaints. I will be recommending them to everyone that I know.

Awnings were instaffed without any problems. Are beautiful and function better than we imagined!

Couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the awnings, the look of the awnings, and the installation. The job was manufacturered and installed timely and perfectly. They were super professional and accomodating. They had a plethora of fabrics to choose from.

The people that came out to measure and the workers that came out to install it were all great. They showed up on time to do the work and they cleaned up well when they were finished. I would use them again, if needed, for future work.

The guy who was doing the work was new so it took a little longer than he estimated. I am however really happy with the awning. The awning turned out a lot better that I had expected. This is the oldest awning company that does this type of work left in Kansas City.
