Go Green Lawn & Sprinklers

Showed up on time. Completed sprinkler winterization in about 30 minutes. Service technician did not realize that this service was pre-paid thru Angie's list. I received a bill in the mail from the company, but did not pay, since it was pre-paid. I think they realized the error, as no further attempt was made to collect.

The service turned out good. The cost was reasonable. The person that came was experienced, congenial, and explained everything to me quite well.

I used Go Green Lawn & Sprinklers.

They explained what they were going to do.

They were great. They were phenomenal. They were very professional and they called me when they were not going to be there on time and they called me all of the time.

They installed an irrigation system, provided fertilizer, grass seed and verticutting. Everything went well and my yard looks good.

Performed everything to winterize. Punctual and efficient. Also bought one for my daughters house (she works). When we were through at my home, we went to hers and got hers done. Plan to see them in spring for start up.

The provider did not show up for the confirmed / scheduled appointment. I took off work earlyfrom my job to meet them for a irrigation estimate and they never showed or called.

It was great, they arrived on time, went right to work and were done in a very reasonable amount of time. We have had such great service with Go Green. We feel very fortunate to have found them on Angies list. And the cost was reasonable for the amount of work they did.

Very professional, punctual and helpful. The Provider showed up before his scheduled time of 8:00 AM and promptly got to work. I allowed him in my home to turn off the water at the source and he was very friendly and courteous. He pumped compressed air through my irrigation system to prevent the water from freezing and rupturing the pipes. I am having a fence put in and the provider helped me identify where the main water lines for the sprinkler system could be. Obviously, because Go Green didn't install the sprinklers, he wasn't able to identify exactly where the pipes are but he went above and beyond helping me identify any problems the fence builder might have. Very pleased with the service provided.

Joe told me he would install the system in about 7-8 weeks due to his back log of lawn sprinkler installations. Joe ended up coming on the 8th week. He called a few days prior to them showing up to make sure that all of my utilities lines, etc. have been marked. Joe took care of calling and setting up the utility lines being marked and applying for the city permit for installing a sprinkler system. I didn't have to do anything. Joe's crew showed up on a Tuesday, and installed all five sprinkler zones. On Wednesday, they only had to install the main water valve in the yard and the controller box in my garage. They were finished by 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday and tested all of the zones and adjusted the spray on each of the heads. Then a member of his team walked me through the use of the controller box. How to set the date, time, programs, etc. Joe's team did a great job installing the sprinkler system with minimal damage to my yard and landscape. They took any leftover dirt and put in locations that I had requested. They didn't leave any trash or debris in my yard when they were finished. The system works great and I have 100% turf coverage. With the recent rain, the system was shut off automatically with the rain sensor they had installed. It was nice not having to worry about shutting off the programming when it was raining. I will definitely recommend Go Green to anyone else wanting a sprinkler system installed. Great Job! Thanks again!

I am very pleased with the installation of the sprinkler system. Several guys worked for 3 days, started and finished on time. They cleaned up and the end of the day. They seem very knowledgeable and discussed the ways we could make the system more efficient.

Called and was given an appointment within a couple days. Jerry(Technician) called before arriving, confirming the appointment. Arrived on time. Tested systems before I could even get to the back yard. Explained a couple problems. I gave him the location of a couple heads that needed replaced. He efficiently moved the heads to the new location, left the area pretty much looking untouched. Did more work than I had originally requested in the amount of time quoted plus materials (fair price)

Joe is extremely easy to work with. We first spoke the last of July and he gave me a price for the system. I said for him to go for it. He explained every thing that they would do, as in how many zones, heads, etc. He gave me a date of the last week in August, due to the fact that they were really busy. That was fine with me, I just kept had watering with the hose. He called the last week in August and gave me a date that they could start. He did call me, prior to the starting date to explain everything that was happening. He said it would be a couple days later, and he called the prior night and confirmed the appointment. The guys showed up, and started working in the horrible heat. They finished on time. I do need some small work to be done, but I am sure it will be handled in no time. I also had him for the fertilization of the yard, weeds, and grubs. His group has done an exceptional job at both. I would totally recommend him to anyone, as he is professional and gets the job done on time!

Made appointment on first call. Was one of five selected to bid. Joe showed up on time. Very knowledgeable and professional. Great background in lawn systems installation and maintenance and ecological concerns. Offered multiple solutions (and prices). Provided good reasons for using the components he recommended. Provided estimate at end of first appointment. Responded immediately to follow up questions. Provided estimate on when he could install. Accepted this bid (out of five bids) and waiting on installation. /The fact that he was an Angie's List 2012 Best Contractor was instrumental in my accepting Joe's bid.

Go green was awesome to work with from start to finish. Will absolutely use them gain.

The provider did not re-seed the lawn in the spring, leaving bald patches throughout the front and back yards. This allowed for weeds to grow in the bald patches and spread throughout the lawn. The provider did not do anything to take care of or get rid of these weeds.

Joe had been handeilng our sprinkler work for a couple years without issue and promised to return to fix a leaking sprinkler (after he dug a 3 foot hole in my front lawn), then disappeared without a trace. Have heard nothing since and, honestly, do not have time for people who make commitments and do not follow through. It's called INTEGRITY!

Joe Mathews responded to my initial replay immediately. Joe came to my home on a Saturday, showed up on time and went through my current system to evaluate it and make his recommendations. Joe was courteous and listened to my concerns and answered my questions. Not once did he make me feel like I was wasting his time. He provided me a detailed estimate breaking out the costs so that I could some or all of my "wish" list work. I hired Joe and his company. He was very responsive and always kept me in the loop. They replaced 23 heads added a couple of new heads and installed a new controller box with wireless rain sensor. Joe called me when the work was done and made arrangements to come back to my house when I was home I travel for a living). He came back and walked me through my new system. In the course of doing so, we encountered a leak in a line (Not the fault of Joe and his company) and Joe with no additional cost replaced the damaged supply line on the spot. We are now a week or so in having our system and all is good. Thank you Joe for your professionalism, integrity and patience.

Joe Mathews was very personable and professional during the estimating process. He explained what kind of sprinkler heads would be best for our lawn, discussed why he used the brand, asked where I wanted the controller, and showed how the connection to the water line would be made. He recommended connecting to the water inside the house rather than digging a hole in the lawn to attach to the water line near the meter. The installation crew worked hard and did an excellent job trenching, replacing the disturbed sod, and cleaning up. The installation required tunneling under a driveway and sidewalk, and that task was completed with little muss or fuss. The whole job was completed in one day. Joe walked me through the programming of the controller and tested the system. Being and environmentally sensitive system, it includes a rain gauge that shuts off the system if a quarter inch of rain falls. We had 2 other estimates, both of which required a large hole in the lawn to connect to the main water line, not something we wanted. Both also wanted to place the controller where they wanted it rather than where we wanted. I would recommend Joe and Go Green Lawn and Sprinklers to anyone wanting a quality job at a reasonable price.

I called several companies regarding service on our 15 year old system. Chose Go Green as they had the friendliest and most helpful customer service rep. The technican (sorry, forgot his name) was also very friendly. He showed up on time, was very competent, and did good work. I would use them again.

Everything went great! We did our contractor research and interviews and settled on Go Green Lawn & Sprinklers. Go Green Lawn & Sprinklers and company owner Joe Matthews is "accredited" and "A-rated" by the BBB. Joe was also featured as a 2012 "Best Contractor" with Angie's list magazine and in the same year, was awarded Angie's "Super Service Award". He also received great reviews and "A-ratings" from his customers. Joe also offers discounts to his customers! With this kind of feedback, the other contractors were no longer in the running. Joe sealed the deal when he came to our home to introduce himself. He took the time to explain everything involved in installing a sprinkler/irrigation system as he walked around our property with us. We had many questions. He answered them all. Joe is professional, knowledgeable, and truly cares about his work. Once hired, and the job started, he was on location to oversee the work and ensure it was done to his high standards. The job ran smoothly. When we called Joe's office, if we ever needed to speak with him, we were always professionally and cordially greeted by his wife, who would get our message to him . Joe was professional in returning our calls. We greatly appreciated that. When the job was completed, Joe gave us an in-depth instructional tutorial, at our home, on how to operate our sprinkler system's "Modular Controller". Joe let us know he is available for any help we might need in the future. We are happy with our sprinkler system. We are good to "go"!

We had them blow out the sprinklers in the fall and while here, we asked about having them repair and replace the damaged sprinkler heads. They said it would be better to do it in the spring. In the spring, they did not follow up, but we called them. No return called. We tried again, and finally got a verbal bid for the work at $1200. No details. I asked for the bid in writing and they hand wrote some illegible notes on our receipt from blowing out the sprinkler system, emailed the photocopy to us, and evidently that's the bid. We schedule them for the work without having them review the bid with us, and that is our fault. On the day that they were scheduled to come out, we reviewed the bid. IN fairness to the company, we should not have scheduled them without receiving a professional bid and reviewing it with them. Both they and we should demanded that first. When I finally heard what they were going to do, it came with a lecture about how it's expensive to him when we reschedule and that we are really just a small job for them. The chicken scratched note says we'll owe $1200, and that isn't small to me. Maybe to him, but not to me. I appreciate that rescheduling so I had time to review the bid was inconvenient for him, but it's important for me to have to try to understand what he's planning to do to see if it makes sense for our needs. I told him that I felt the problem was a shared responsibility; that he should have prepared a legible bid and presented his reasoning. He said he didn't remember our yard and that's why he couldn't write a real bid. I suggested that maybe he should have come back out then before trying to handwrite his notes from the fall; that would have solved the problem. He said he'd go over it with me when his team is out here to do the work. I wanted the opportunity to review the bid before scheduling, and he said that we're costing him money by rescheduling and we're really just a small job to him. I cancelled the appointment. I don't think they are entirely at fault; we should have demanded a formal bid and time to review it before agreeing to be scheduled. But this company was very clear that we're a small bid and that we're wasting his time with this whole bid/review process. It's $1200. That may not be a lot of money to them, but it is to me. There were better ways to handle this; they could have come out and reviewed the yard to create a proper bid; that's what we requested. They could have gone over the bid with us and ensured that we were ok with next steps before scheduling. And when they found out there's a problem, they might have been a lot nicer about it. They may do good work; I don't know. But I don't like being treated like that. It was not a good experience for us.

Jerry was on time and went right to work. He checked out the box and found our problem. He then adjusted all the sprinkler heads to be more efficient and spray where needed...on lawn..not in the street. He was very nice and knowledgeable and will be back with the necessary parts needed to repair the worn out parts in the box. From start to finish this is a very friendly and helpful company. We would highly recommend.
