 + -1 moreTerrible. I do not recommend them until they: 1. Clarify their service area, 2. Fix their website, 3. Retrain their receptionist, 4. Get their story straight between the receptionist and the service dispatcher.
Description of Work: Called Glass Doctor of Kansas City based their website that stated they serviced requests in outlying areas of the Kansas City region - specifically Leavenworth and Lawrence, Kansas. I asked for a home visit to repair a chip in my car's windshield and the receptionist took the order. I specifically asked if they serviced my area - Basehor Kansas - which is a few miles south of Leavenworth and east of Lawrence. The next day, the Glass Doctor dispatcher called to say they do not service that far out of their region which is North Kansas City. I specifically made arrangements with the workplace and family schedules so that the vehicle windshield could be serviced. Very inconvenient. The company acts as if they do not know what is going on with the area they service. Don't call them if you live outside the North Kansas City area - whatever that is. Obviously they do not pay any attention to their website!

 + 0 moreI called and talked to a rude guy and he gave me one quote. When I called back I got a lady from a call service and she gave me a quote a $100 more. When I asked about it she said someone would call to set up a time for the next day and I could ask them...they never called and I had to call them three times and send an email to get to talk to someone. When they finally came out the guys were decent, but what a pain to try to set up an appointment!!! I would not recommend-very unprofessional.

 + -1 moreThe installer met me at my workplace and did an excellent job removing the old windshield and installing the new one. It was very convenient for me (no time off work) and the installer was professional and clearly knowledgable. I would not only recommend Glass Doctors, but I would use them again! Angie's List does have a $25 off coupon that Glass Doctor's honored.
Description of Work: We replaced a severely cracked windshield on a Ford Ranger.

 + -1 moreThey came to me to complete the work. They finished the job quickly within a half of an hour. They offered a replacement policy because the new windshield could crack. My windshield did crack in between the glass panes within three days and they were unable to find a point of entry. When someone from headquarters came out to look at it, they had wanted me to pay $120 for the replacement. When another technician came out, he completed the work at no additional cost was really great and accommodating. Everything went fine.
Description of Work: They installed a new windshield on my 2003 Kia Sorento.

 + -1 moreHarmon Glass is no longer in business apparently. The phone number forwards to the Glass Doctor. I contacted them twice - first call was given a reference number and told I would receive a call back the following day. Did not get a call, so I contacted them. The man who answered was not friendly at all. They only offer mobile services and do not accept insurance. (This despite the fact that I had been quoted a price 40$ lower on the phone the day before and told I could take into the shop.) They did not act like they wanted my business so I will go elsewhere! I seldom write such a poor review but unprofessionalism to me means that they do not deserve the business.
Description of Work: Harmon Glass is no longer in business apparently. The phone number forwards to the Glass Doctor. I contacted them for repair of a 'rock ding' in my windshield. I did not have them do the work after experiencing the rudeness of the person who answered the call

 + -1 moreWhen nobody had shown up by 4 pm I called the dispatcher to make sure they were still coming. He said I was next on the schedule. Still nobody showed up so at 5:30 I called again. This time I was on hold for 15 minutes waiting for a dispatcher before hanging up. Tried again after 7pm with same result. Nobody ever showed up & nobody has ever called me back. As I type this another company is installing the windshield. I will not call Glass Doctor again.
Description of Work: Got an estimate and I set up an appointment to have a windshield replaced on a pickup I bought for my son. Talked to the dispatcher on 5/18 and set it up to have it done at my home anytime after noon on 5/19. I took that afternoon off so I could be there.

Description of Work: Terrible miscommunication from the sales person vs. the work that was actually done. The manager, Michael Eby, has horrible customer service. The glass installed in my car is NOT what I was told during the sales process - it's lower quality. My prescription sunglasses are missing after the installation and no one from Glass Doctor will help try to find out what happened to them. Had to end up filing a police report. This is a shady organization and I do not recommend them. They will pull the wool over your eyes, they will misquote the price and charge your credit card a different amount. Stay away from them!
