I contracted with Keith Fields of Fields Mechanical from an ad on Craigslist to install a high efficiency heat and a/c system in our house. It went well at first and he did the work as promised in return for the big bucks. Only a couple of issues which he eventually resolved. Later in the fall of 2010, I had him wire up a steam humidifier for a set $300 fee. It took him several visits but eventually he got it going. This spring, March 2011, I tried the A/C and the fan would not come on; I believe due to how he had wired the humidifier. I called and he set appointment and did not show or call. Several times over a 6 week period this happened, and when I did get ahold of him it was always a lame excuse followed by another blown-off appointment. Most recently, he had a "buddy" call me, set an appointment, and naturally, another no show with no phone call. I would advise people to use a service with more than one technician and with an established reputation
