Everything went great, Siding, and front door were finished in 3 days. I had asked Tim to take a look at the roof to have it replaced, he said to call my adjuster as it had hail damage. Tim met the adjuster and my new roof was covered 100%. After the roof was completed the gutters were installed. It has been about a year since all the work was done and we have had zero issues.

We were planning on getting new windows on at least a portion of our home but didn't know what company to use. Our neighbor used Exterior Energy Consultants and we thought the windows looked good and we saw that they got the job done within one day. When we were getting bids Exterior Energy Consultants came in the lowest, and then upon negotiation we were able to get a slightly better rate by increasing the number of windows we wanted to do (we increased from 10 to 13). The windows have all performed extremely well since we got them and they look much better than our original windows that had been on the house since 1928. We haven't noticed a huge energy efficiency improvement given that we only got part of them done, but when we complete the rest next year expect to see a nice improvement. The job got done in just one day and they left no mess at all. We will use them to complete the rest of the house.

The crew wasn't suppose to start until Today, Monday the 13. They actually were able to start on Thursday the week before and finished on Saturday! The crew was fast and kept everything as picked up as possible and arrived right when they said they would.

I can't say enough good about the entire staff and my total experience with them. From the bid to the final installation, these people are wonderful. Salesperson was no pressure and they were the lowest price in town for what I believed to be the best product (believe me, I'd talked to like more than a dozen companies before selecting them). I didn't talk to any competitors that I genuinely felt I could trust and this company proved themselves trustworthy, fair and competent. I selected them for the value of the product they offer (Simonton 5500 series windows with the super spacer and 1" double pane low-E) , the price they quoted without pressure, and the complete simplicity of the entire process. John, my salesperson, was prepared for our meeting, thorough and no "sign now or the price changes" tactics; I quickly appreciated that he knew what he was doing and wasn't out to take advantage of anyone. I signed the contract on our first meeting and the windows were installed in record time, like about a week, far sooner than anyone else had offered. The installer was very thorough and I'm more than very pleased; was also happy to see the salesperson check on the job while in process too, although the installer was more than qualified and clearly invested in making sure it was done right and that I was satisfied with the job. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone. If they treat you half as well as they treated me then I have no doubt that you'll enjoy working with them. I will be using them for replacing the rest of the windows as I can afford to do so. I'm very glad that I found them!

They did a fabulous job! Their prices were very reasonable, very polite. I like the fact that they cleaned up as they completed portions of the job befroe going to the next area. They were here for 4 days and I was very happy with their services!

EEC gave me an excellent deal. Their incredibly low price, on quality Simonton windows and doors, amazed me. The installation was quick, clean, and skillfully done. They even agreed to install a patio door at a later date to meet a need I had. What superb service! If you're looking for the most bang for your buck I highly recommend EEC.

I cannot speak enough good things about Exterior Energy Consultants. I contacted 7 different companies here on Angie's List, and while all were professional, Exterior Energy was a stand out for me, and they FAR exceeded my expectations. First, Salesman Nathan came out and answered many questions on my initial consultation. Exterior Energy was the least expensive company of the 7 I contacted. Actually, their bid was half the cost of the highest estimate I received. Nathan was very knowledgable and friendly. I was looking for a specific color for my siding, and had found one siding company to offer that company - Certainteed. Nathan assured me that EEC could order the siding and do the job properly, and he was right! I asked Nathan to come out once more for me to ask a few more questions, and to sign the contract. He worked around my schedule, which I really appreciated! I received a phone call about 2 days before the crew came out to work to let me know they were coming. They came on a Friday, worked all day on Friday, all day on Saturday and finished the siding on Monday. WOW, it was quick! The crew worked very fast, and efficiently. And, when I had questions, Alejandro (a member of the crew) was able to answer them. We did run into a few hiccups - but they were immediately corrected, no questions asked. Nathan was available every time I called with an issue, and I feel he and the crew on-site went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the product and service. And I am! The gutter crew came on the Tuesday, and was finished before I came home for lunch. I needed to do some modifications to make sure the gutters flowed out into the yard properly, and the gutter guys were happy to answer my questions as well. I cannot say enough good things about EEC. This was the first large project I have done on my home, and I would not hesitate to hire EEC again (and I might in the future, when I need a new roof!).

Arrived on time. Installer was professional, courteous, and installed the windows with the same care and attention to detail I would have if I had done the job myself. From what I can tell, Tim runs a top-notch outfit that is geared toward customer satisfaction. I'll get the back half of the house done this fall.

What a great experience from the start to the finish. When calling the office to setup an appointment, to the completion, everyone was first rate. Tim came out and and we chatted. He listened to what I was wanting to do and offered appropriate suggestions. No sales pitch, just honesty and integrity. We talked about the range of windows offered, warranty and ordering/installation process. I only wanted to do the four windows and I never felt any pressure to do anything but what I wanted. On the day of the installation the temperature started out at 10 degrees. Lindy and crew did a fantastic job, were respectful of our house, explained the process and cleaned up very well when completed. Tim called during the installation to make sure I was happy and dropped by a couple of hours later. Very good customer service! Tim is a honest, sincere, local business owner and I won't hesitate to do business with EEC again! (In fact, I've ordered another five windows!)

We meet with Tim on a Monday afternoon to discuss the work. He provided an estimate at that time. The price was reasonable, so we approved the work. A two man crew arrived the following Thursday morning. The work was completed in 2 hours. I have two minor complaints. First, the crew arrived and started work without notifying us. Our first indication they arrived was when they started removal of the old shingles. Second, clean up could have been better. I went out and picked up several nails and pieces of the old shingles after the crew departed.

Stayed on estimate, honored the Angie's List coupon even though it was not presented until after the intial estimate was quoted, on time, worked quickly, cleaned up well after the job, used good products and when you use them for your windows or doors ask for Laverne specifically. He was amazing at his job.

The first time I contacted Tim about this job we had problems connecting but we did get together. Because Tim had resided our house a couple of years ago we called him for this job. One end of the house had an extra overhang of roof from a previous add-on job. After getting a new roof we decided to remove the "eyebrow." I called TIm and he came out for an estimate. Within a couple of days I came home and the job was all done. The debris was hauled away and there was no sign they had been here. The neighbor pointed out that the work was done. They replace the siding to patch where the roof and been. They were able to reuse some of the siding and matched it perfectly. Great job.

EEC did an excellent job on our garage. I gave the salesman, Nathan, the go-ahead to do the job late Monday afternoon and they were here at 7:30 Tuesday morning to start work on the roof. They finished late that evening. It took until Thursday to get the siding in and they started early Friday morning. They couldn't quite get finished that day and were back Saturday morning to finish. They kept the area neat and tidy all the time. They hauled off all the old shingles before they started the new installation. We are very happy with the work EEC did.

Tim was quick to respond, very professional, had referrals and just a pleasure to work with in general. His price for both homes was less than a quote we had received for just one of the homes and I am very pleased with the way they turned out. When I pointed out something that got overlooked, they were out the next business day to correct it. I am going to call him again shortly to see about getting a sliding door fixed.

I had asked if a bump on the roof line could be smoothed out and was told that it would be taken care of. I went ahead with this comany even through they were higher than other estimates because they said they could take care of the bumps. The men showed up to do the work in good time and got the work completed on schedule. The materials I chose were used. The cleanup was done correctly. However, the bump remained after the work was completed. I called back to tell the company about it and we settled for a lesser amount of money that the original bid had come in at. Then, when it rained, my husband noticed that the gutters were dripping water. Somehow, the edges of the shingles had not been laid properly. I called the company and they sent someone over to correct it right away. Overall I was pleased with the services.

My wife and I were looking to replace our old cedar siding with vinyl siding, new gutters, and new windows. We met with Tim Blackburn, the owner of EEC, and went over what we were looking for and he was able to give us a written bid that same day while the other company's usually returned the bids with a few days after the meeting. One of the great things about Tim is his very matter of fact way of explaining the process and work that was required. We received bids from 4 different contractors and after reviewing all of the bids we decided to go with EEC. The work on the new siding and windows began about a week after we signed the proposal with Tim. There were 3 crews working the project. 1 for siding removal and installation, one for the removal and installation of the windows, and a crew to install the new gutters. The window and siding crew worked simultaneously to remove the old siding and to install the new windows, the gutter installation was completed last. All of the crew members were very professional and did a great job answering any questions or concerns that came up. The work began on a Thursday and the crews worked Friday, Saturday, and finished up on Monday. At the end of the job they cleaned up all of the debris from the work and they even put a few new bags of mulch in our flower beds. Overall the work was great, the house looks fantastic, and the crew was very professional and attentive. We would not hesitate to recommend Tim and EEC to any of our friends for any siding, window, or guttering project.

Tim's quote was the lowest. The quality of work is exceptional. His crew did an excellent job and were very hard working.

Exterior Energy was one of the companies I asked to come out and give me a bid. Their bid was competitive and I thought they were very professional in developing and explaining the bid. I dropped the signed bid off at their office and within a day or two they were able to send a crew by to do the work. They were very efficient and obviously knew what they were doing. The guttering has performed excellently through the winter and into the heavier spring rains.

Called about 8 am, service crew came about 45 minutes later, finished in two hours.

I first requested a bid in April of 2010 from Tim, along with several other companies. I checked references and decided that EEC was the best option, however I had to delay the work for various reasons. I contacted Tim in March 2011 about re-bidding the work, so that we could move forward. Tim honored the price for 2010, without hesitation. Overall, the experience was great, we recommend EEC often and will use them in the future.

Contractor was not consistent about getting back to me. I found an authorized dealer with a better product who was more informed about the product.
