Exterior energy was excellent to deal with. The people were friendly, on time and professional.

EEC removed the old cedar siding and repaired the sheathing. They installed insulation, house wrap, and new premium vinyl siding. They also made custom headers for the windows and wrapped the window and door brickmold. They also installed new gutters. They were always very polite, cheerful, and hard working. We are very pleased with the work they did.

The roofing crew was first and took about 3 days. They had to repair a couple of rotting spots in the underlayment. The siding crew was next, and took about 5 days to complete the work. We have a large house that is 3 stories at some points, so lots of ladder and scaffold work. We also had a lot of rotted spots due to the way the previous trim was attached, so all of that had to be ripped off and damaged areas repaired. Performed a good job in very hot conditions. This caused the job to take longer due to required breaks, but kudos to the crews for working late to get the jobs done. Crews were able to find solutions to some difficult gutter solutions for our odd front dormers. The crews were very receptive to changes we asked them to make, even removing what they had done to do it the way we wanted it. We did find some nails left behind in the yard, but considering how many they used on the house we weren't surprised. Overall, they did a great job and we are very happy with the results.

EEC did a spectacular job siding my house. I had a lot of details that showed off their handiwork. The workers were friendly and worked hard all week long. There were only a few minor items that they followed up on the next day! I now have a BEAUTIFUL home with siding that is going to last 50+ years! I already notice a difference with my AC as the siding covered some hidden air leaks. My neighbors have come over and commented how great a job EEC did on the home. Thanks to Nathan for his no-pressure sales and lead, and thank you to all the workers who did such quality work!

Very pleased with the quality of the product (Craneboard 7) and of the overall installation. Communication was excellent as calls were either answered immediately or quickly returned if a message was left. The crews did a reasonable job of cleaning up every night and did a good job of cleaning the site once the project was done.

It was a rough week to be working outside because it rained most of the week. On the days it didn't rain, the team worked until dark and managed to meet the deadline. They were all very nice people even when my dog wanted to help. I would hire them again and recommend them without hesitation.

My initial phone call to request a bid was answered with a live person at the door within one hour. (He was fairly close by when he got the message, but still I was impressed!) He priced out the windows which came to approx. $300/per window. He told me how long it would take to get the windows made to fit, but that date came and went and I had not heard from them. Finally I called and they said they could be out in about 2 weeks. I was a little surprised that they had not called to tell me that the original date had to be changed. I really don't hold that against them, but would have appreciated a follow-up call when the original date was not met. I am pleased with the company, the installation, and the product.

Tim came out to give us estimate within days after calling. He was very attentive and not pushy at all, unlike the other companies. We got several other estimates and theirs was by far the best. They used Simonton windows and Revere Sovereign vinyl siding. His crews are fantastic. Very prompt, proffesional, and efficient. They don't mess around, they finished everything within 1 1/2 weeks, even with the rain. Even the neighbor commented on how courteous they were, no loud music, talking, etc. and they cleaned up as they went. The house looks great and we are very pleased.

They were absolutely excellent and I would recommend them to anybody. Nathan was the one who came in to the house and he worked with me through the entire process. He was prompt. The reasonable price base on the other quotes that we got and they did a good job.

When you look at the siding walking in from the patio into the house you can see little nail holes. I thought they were going to putty them but they never did. I have called and they said they would come out but never did. Now they aren't returning my calls.

From beging to end everyone was very nice and great to work with. I would recommed this team to everyone. Prices good and workmanship excellent. The products they sell are great also.

These guys are fantastic! They called me back within 24 hours of my request for a quote and we're able to refer me to a bank for financing. Plus, they were BY FAR the cheapest bid and made a point to let me know if I received anything better so they could have a chance to compete. The quality of the work was excellent. I found a few issues with downspouts on the guttering during inspection but they were corrected within a few days for no charge. They completely cleaned up after themselves and everyone I dealt with was professional and respectful. If you have ANY project that deals with the outside of your home give EEC a call. I would use these people again in a heartbeat.

I would have rated punctuality an “A”, but they were almost 2.5 weeks getting started than I was initially told when the contract was signed. The start date was not in the contract. This didn’t bother me as I held onto my money longer. Once they started, they were punctual.

Installed 7 replacement windows

Tim Blackburn, the owner, came out to my house to give me the estimate and show me the samples on Monday, January 6, 2014. I had already had several other estimates. I almost went with Window World for the work. However, Window World does not work with electricians and requires that we coordinate with our own electricians. Window World was approximately $1200.00 cheaper, but without the electrician. Hence, I decided to go with Exeterior Energy. They just finished everything except the electrical today, January 13, 2014. It took them four days total. The electrical will be done on Wednesday. It had to be postponed because the Utility company would not drop the line on Friday due to the rain. There was only one mishap. When remounting various utility boxes/plugs on the house, they thought two of the boxes were not being used for anything and so I told them to cut the line and not mount those boxes. Turned out two of the boxes was related to phone service, which had to be fixed by the cable company. It only took the cable repairman about 30 minutes to repair it and it turned out better, since he was able to redo the wires so they all went to just one box, instead of three boxes. ctorOther than that, everything met my expectations and beyond for the quality of the work. There were three work crews. One for the siding/wood/insulation, one for the inside window trim and wood rot repair that he did not charge for, and one for the gutters and downspouts. The siding looks very nice and I like the color more than what was on the house before. It looks a little different in the sun than it does indoors or when it is cloudy. I still love the color, but if you are one of those that is extremely picky about shades, I would recommend that you look at the samples inside, outside in the sunshine, and outside when it is cloudy. They did an excellent job of cleaning up too. The manufacturer guarantees the siding for lifetime and it is transferrable one time to a new owner if you sale the house. Tim said if anything needs repairing, he will also cover the labor. Now it's time to start making arrangements to fix some things inside that have needed fixing for a long time. I had gutters replaced in 2002 or 2003. The company that time was not nearly as good. Tim's crew was superior to that first company that I had used. My dad was a siding/roofing salesman and contractor all of his life until he died, so I know quality work when I see it and this was quality work. Great experience. Everything from the estimate to installation was done quickly and professionally. Cost was fair, the windows look good, work was on schedule and with minimum disruption. All our expectations were met. I would recommend to anyone, and would use them again.

I am crazy about Exterior Energy Consultants! They are wonderful. I talked to 13-14 different companies before settling on them. They had the best product at the best price. They were super nice and did a great job. I would recommend them to anyone. I would give them an A+ across the board. They were just amazing to work with.

Showed up on time. Did the work in a timely manner. Finished product looked good. I had asked about a bump in the roof and whether or not he would be able to smooth it out. He said they could and it would not be a problem. However, the bump was still there after the new roof covering was put on. I confronted him about it. He apologized and adjusted my bill, which satisfied me. A few days after the roof job was complete, it rained and my husband noticed a problem with the roof edging not applied correctly. I called them and they promptly sent someone out to correct the problem.

They people slept more than they were working. They would show up in the morning at 8, and they would take a nap for a few hours around noon. The owner handled the issue however. They expected the job to be done in 3 days and it took about 7 days. They cleaned up and made it a point to pick everything up after each day.

Everything went well. The crew showed up on time, did the job well, and cleaned up afterwards. If there's ever a problem, Tim is there to solve it right away. I own rentals and am a repeat customer, that's probably why Tim gave me a good price on this roof. I highly recommend EEC for roofing, siding and windows as I've hired them several times for each.

Siding: A EECKC lived up to all the excellent ratings I read here on Angies List. Tim Blackburn and his excellent siding crew were very attentive to our needs and to each detail of the job. Jaime Martinez did a spectacular job with the siding and window wrap. Door: A Len rehung and insulated our front door. He also put aluminum wrap around it. He did an excellent job. Painting: C The painters did a fine job painting the shed and most of the basement area. They did leave about an inch area from the the ground unpainted along one side of the house. They said they could not paint it without getting dirt into the paint. They were supposed to leave the paint with us but took it with them. Tim gave us a credit on this part of the job and said he will bring the paint over tomorrow.

My house is about 13 years old. Masonite siding was failing and painting wasn't an option so decided I wanted vinyl siding. Tim Blackburn and his crew had installed windows in my house several years back and was completely satisfied with their work at the time. Tim came out the same day I called and gave me an estimate. I was concerned about the price of seamless siding and Tim told me seamed siding would be a less expensive alternative. He felt it would look great and provide me years of service. I agreed to let them do the work. And I'm glad I did. His work crew showed up early and worked late. Picture window was installed and looks great. Satisfied? Yes I am Cons?: Only complaint I would have is when they unloaded all the boxes of siding etc., about 50% was on the drive and 50% on the grass next to the drive which happend to be on top of my sprinkler system. Couldn't figure why they wouldn't have put it all on the drive. Anyway, I ended up moving the stuff to the drive so I could use my sprinkler system. Greater care could have been taken with caulking inside of window but I was able to correct the problem. Anyway, project went well and to my satisfaction. House looks great and would use them again and would recommend. Several neighbors stopped by and looked at the work and said they would probably call Tim for an estimate.

Overall, great experience. They were very responsive to all our requests. They were very prompt, and they continuously worked on the project throughout the week. They were timely in getting everything completed.

I first called another A listed Angies list provider and they told me I could not find anyone to come out for one window. They were not very nice Then I called EEC and they could not have been nicer, more polite, and a great price. The service was great and we are very happy with the work.
