They raised the deck 10 inches and it is level now and I really like it. Over time my deck had settled. The guy's name is Brian. I feel secure about the deck now. I didn't call them about the steps because I already have the iron steps and I want to try to use what I already have. They don't do iron so I had to call someone else. If I can't get the iron steps fixed, I am going to call them back to replace them with wood steps. They already told me they would do that. When I first called them it was the rainy season. They did part of the work but then it didn't get finished until May because of the rain. I thought the price was reasonable. It started out a little over $1200 but when they raised it they needed some more brackets and they had to pour some concrete underneath the 4 x 4s to raise it. That was extra material to secure the posts but I thought it was pretty reasonable. I've never had this done before and my deck is pretty big. They were very nice. They were using nails and I found nails everywhere. It was raining but they never came back to make sure the nails and stuff were picked up.
