I did not end up purchasing this home but would call this company in the future if needed.

Ryan measured the roof and presented the bid in a very detailed and professional manner. The materials were delivered and the work was completed as promised in one day. There were intermittent rain showers in the area on the day of the installation so the crew worked in sections so there would be no chance of a leak. Clean up was great. I would highly recommend this company and use them again.

Overall, a great experience! Before we could begin on the roof itself, first we had to have an engineer complete a study to ensure it would bear the load. Then we had to have a different contractor beef up the roof joists. The team that performed the work did as they promised. The plants were protected and every day they swept the yard and driveway for nails. They did what they could to keep the noise down while out toddle napped during the afternoon. The project took a few days less than originally expected but I suppose it's better to under-promise and over-deliver so no complaints. The only problem we encountered was a tube of roofing cement which got tossed off the roof and then smashed on the drive way. It created quite a mess. Without having to yell about it, they came back on two separate occasions to scrub on it. Finally, our sales guy came back with his own power washer to clean the drive way. They kept at it until they were pleased with it so I never even had to make it an issue. It's obvious they care whether their customers are happy. Guess that's why they keep winning awards on Angie's List. Finally, the only category I gave them a "B" for was price. There's no doubt they are never going to be the cheapest guys in town. But I have zero concerns about the quality of the materials or the workmanship (and we picked a very expensive material!). I would recommend them (and have) to anyone who wants it done right.

Fantastic experience. I had several bids for this work and the reason I chose Christian Brothers wasn't because they were the cheapest, although they were very competitive. I chose them because Scott was the only contact at any of the companies that took the time to explain in detail each and every component of the work they do and how they differentiate themselves from their competition. He was very thorough and his follow up from the time I got the bid to when I selected them to do the work was excellent. In fact, he was the only one of the three contractors that routinely reached out to me to check in on our decision and to further expain different approaches that we could take to get the best value. Once the work started, their crew was outstanding. They worked hard for three long days and the crew was always on time and very sensitive to clean up during and after the job was completed. Scott checked in on the work several times each day and took the time to explain what the crew was doing as they were completing their work. I really felt that Scott went out of his way to help me make the best decisions and to get the best overall value and experience. I would highly recommend this company.

Excellent service from initial point of initial contact to an extremely prompt repair! Contacted Christian Brothers to help me assess missing shingles from my very high & steep roof. In my initial phone call they took my information and said someone would call back either yet tonight or tomorrow with more information. I did receive a call back the next day asking to setup a time to give a quote when a home-owner was present. We agreed 8am the next morning. Which he was promptly at our door at 8 am just as promised. We requested a quote for a small shingle repair of missing shingles, but also a quick overview assessment of his estimated life span of the remaining roof. We were provided both in a very short time frame. Later that day we called back Christian Brothers to fix the missing shingles and to our surprise they were able to come the very next day, on a SATURDAY! The crew arrived on time & quickly went to work. Once finished they cleaned up, leaving no mess at all. Excellent customer service, prompt meetings & quotes, and very quick availability to fix my roof. Would definitely call them again for any roofing need.

My neighborhood was hit hard by the 2011 hailstorm. Many roofers, both good and bad, went door to door. I wasn't happy with the direct sales approach and consulted Angie's List to find a quality roofer. I live in a HOA community with strict covenants and guidelines. Ryan with Christian Brothers Roofing went over and above what would normally be provided for a roof/gutter replacement job. He took time to read the HOA regulations, provided me with all documentation and samples needed for getting HOA approval. He also, offered to answer any questions that they had directly. He went through all details with me and answered my questions. He and his staff were always punctual, arrived when appointed and conducted themselves in a professional manner. They used the highest quality products and completed the complete roof replacement and gutter/downspout replacement on time and budget. I would HIGHLY recommend Christian Brothers Roofing.

The entre process went very well. I was amazed at the crew, 9 - 10 guys, the tear off and entire replacement took two days. It was efficient and an incredibly well run crew. Knowing nothing about roofing, I felt very comforable working with Ryan. During the process, Ryan kept me apprised of what they were doing and afterwards, reviewed all they had done and why they did it. Ryan did not give me the lowest price for my roof but certainly wasn't the most expensive. I was impressed so much, I'm having Christian Brothers put on gutter covers.

My experience with Ryan is beyond A+. He is extremely honest, respectful, professional and goes above and beyond my expectations (and I am a hard critic), I will recommend Christian Brothers in a heartbeat. Best customer service I have received in a very long time.

With being burned by a previous roofing company Christian Brothers attention to service and detail was very refreshing. Ryan showed up to give us a free estimate and was very explanatory with the process showing pictures and breaking it down for us new to the experience. We took a few days to review their quote along with a few others. Decided Ryan's professionalism made us feel most comfortable. We signed the contract and they were here within 3 days (thank you weather for cooperating). Ryan showed up before the crew and periodically to check on them. He reviewed the workmanship and cleanup himself and with us to make sure we were satisfied before he requested payment. (An issue we had with a previous roofing company) All in all it was a very pleasurable experience and we would definitely recommend them.

They were professional. The product was excellent and had color all the way through. They did the work on a very timely basis.

The salesperson, Ryan Horseman, did a very thorough job with the presentation; this is the reason we ended up hiring them. I give them all A's and will use them again in the future.

Christian Brothers Roofing was and overall great experience. Ryan came out and gave me a thorough estimate for the job and what all that would entail. After signing the contract Ryan and his team were out the next week to remove our old roof, put down new decking and finally a new roof. The team worked efficiently to get the job done fast. They also kept the worksite clean and were sure to protect all of our plants and flower beds. I would highly recommned Christian Brothers Roofing.

Christian Brothers Roofing was great to work with from the beginning. Ryan showed up and was prepared to do a full estimate along with a great presentation explaining exactly what I could expect before, during and after the job. Their crew was courteous and friendly, did exactly as expected and I had no surprises. Materials were delivered on Tuesday afternoon, the crew started on Thursday and completed on Friday. We were extremely please with the extra attention we received. We met with Ryan and he told us exactly what to expect. They were here when they said they would be and even got done a bit early. ryan also went out of his way to finish the job with excellence. We will definitely recommend them and use them again....

We were extremely pleased with all of our interactions with the Christian Bros. team. Our contact for the bidding and as job foreman was Ryan. Communications were excellent and all promises were met. We expect no problems as the stormy season arrives.

We received an estimate for siding. The quality of the product is wonderful but very pricey. It did take over 30 days to meet with the salesman, Scott, due to their schedule and not being available on Saturdays. Scott came to our home and was very nice and informative. He told us that our home would require them to follow EPA guidelines and to remove the lead paint in the "Cedar Shingles" since our home was built prior to 1978, and said this would be costly for them to do. He would not give us a bid to remove the shingles even though we asked him to give us that amount. I did find out since his visit that they would not need to tent our house as he indicated as there is other methods. I also found out that the Cedar Shingles were stained not painted prior to 1980. We told Scott that we would like the bid to include the gutters and new doors. He asked me to email him the following week with those requests so he did not forget. I did not feel that he really wanted to side our home otherwise he would have made notes to himself and followed up with us the following

Ryan Horstmann did an excellent job. His work was fast, professionally done and the price was very reasonable. He was able to get the estimate done and perform the work in one day. I would recommend this young man and his company to anyone who needs roof work in the Kansas City area.

Ryan with Christian Brothers came out to estimate a repair job on our 20 year old shake shingle roof. I had other estimates done by other companies and 3 of them said I needed a new roof and 3 of them (including Christian Brothers) said a repair was adequate. The shake shingle roof is 20 years old but is 3/4" with no missing or curled shingles so I suspect the estimates that called for a re-roof saw dollar signs. Anyway, the Christian Brothers salesman, Ryan, was prompt, courteous, informative and honest. I will definitely call them for an estimate when it does come time for the replacement in 2-4 years.

The roof repair/replacement went very quickly, the quality so far is fine and the price was fair. However, communicating with the crew that actually performed the work was a bit difficult since english was not thier native language. The second part of the job is where the problems started. My house sat with a new roof and no cutters (during a rainy period) for about a month and the gentleman that I was working with became increasingly unavaliable. He seemed to have no control over the crew that was subcontracted to install the gutters. After I insisted that they either install gutters or I would hire someone else, I was told that they would come out that weekend with thier in-house crew and finish the work - and they did. Were it not for this, I would have ranked them higher in responsiveness and puntuality.

They have been responsive to concerns that I have had after they replaced the roof. They came back out to make the necessary corrections. We found out that we had overpaid them by $4 and they cheerfully refunded me with a $4 check. That was really nice of them. Not many companies would do that. I had three other roofing companies that were out and they gave me estimates that were very close to what Christian Brothers charged. I thought their price was favorable. The quality of work was excellent. I even had the owner of the business come out here and review the work that was done. He found something that he was not happy with and called his crew to come back out and make a correction that I had not even noticed. They did really good work for me. They were always here when they said they would be here. They were very professional. We have damage to the siding of the house but I did not elect to use them because the only siding that they do is the concrete siding, which is quite expensive, so I decided not to do that.

Christian Brothers did an excellent job on both the church roof and house roof. All work was done carefully and with professionalism. Tear-off materials were placed into their truck and church and home grounds (lawn, etc.) were carefully policed for scraps, nails, trash, etc. so that when the job was completed no trace remained. All shingle rows are strait and very sharp looking. The presence of the roofing crew was not disruptive and was very positive. The work of this company satisfied and pleased not only one family but an entire congregation!

My overall experience was fine. The estimated price was $1450. They answered all my questions. I would take a quote from them in the future.

As I expected, the crew worked long hours and were hard working. The job was completed within three days. They returned about 8:00 on the last day to pick up their trailer. The next morning I walked my property and noticed a few things that needed to be remedied. It was pretty obvious the crew wanted to finish on that third day as it was a Friday. They failed to return some small decorative pieces to their places, failed to replace the gutter guards, and neglected to pick up trash on one side of the house. As well, there was one shingled area around one of the skylights that was unsightly. The next day a representative from Christian Brothers showed to check on our satisfaction. I appreciated his appearance, and he was taken back by the crew's obvious abrupt departure. He took care of a couple of my concerns, and the crew itself returned the next day to put the gutter guards on and reshingle around the one skylight. The roof looks fine, it's rained, and nothing leaks. We're happy with the job, as the our small concerns were taken care of immediately. Replacing a roof is a big job, and I don't think it's unreasonable to find some small things that need a bit of attention after the job is done. Had Christian Brothers not remedied those in a timely fashion, I'd not be giving them a positive rating.

We are completely satisfied with the excellent job Christian Brothers Roofing did in installing our gutters and downspouts. Scott arrived at the agreed upon time and took detailed measurements and notes. He showed us the gutters and larger downspouts and the stronger mounting hardware used which would be included in our proposal. After a few minutes in his truck, he printed us the proposal. We were able to go through it and ask our questions. We agreed to have Christian Brothers perform the work and signed the proposal. Scott was able to schedule us on their calendar right from his truck, which was convenient. We also were planning to paint our house so we had to coordinate having the roof replaced, painting, and new gutters. Scott and Jennifer at CRB were both very helpful in this process. We had the roof replaced first and then the gutters were removed a few days later. Next our house was painted, and finally a few days later the new gutters were installed. This worked very well, as our painters could paint the entire fascia behind the gutters. We struggled with choosing colors for our house. Once we narrowed it down, Scott came back out to let us look through the gutter color samples again. A few weeks later we changed our mind and Scott for the third time stopped by to let us look at the samples. This time we were able to finalize our color selection. It is our understanding that CBR contracts with a company for the gutter installs. Since we already knew the high quality standards that CBR has on their roofing, we were confident that they would ensure a quality job on our gutters. We were very pleased with the work that the contractor, Joe, did. Two employees were sent to do the job, one of which was named Shawn. They came out and removed the gutters. They missed a couple of pieces, but did an excellent job overall cleaning up. Next, after the house was painted. The crew returned and was able to install the complete system in one day. This included adding an additional downspout. We also had specific requests for where the downspouts to run down the house which required different angled pieces to be inserted and installed. To illustrate, when compared to other homes, which simple have one vertical pipe down the corner of the house, our downspout follows the corner down, then jogs a foot in at an angle, then follows the rest of the corner down. It is a much more finished look and takes time and skill to install. We were picky, but in the end, we love the quality of the work. Also, with the freshly painted house we had concerns of ladders marring the paint job. After they were done, we critically looked at the siding and could see no damage at all. After a few weeks of looking at the job and watching them work in the rain, we are very pleased. They were set up with the exact amount of run (angle) to properly drain the water from our roof. CBR has several crews and a lot of jobs at any given time, and as a result our emails and calls were not always immediately returned. A reply to a list of questions took a few days, which we were okay with since our job was still weeks away. We understood that CBR was dealing with more pressing issues from more current customer jobs. Be patient, CBR will make sure all questions and items are addressed prior to starting work. Our proposal was more than our insurance adjuster had determined in our statement of loss. Scott was able to help with this. After one discussion with our insurance company our adjuster fixed our claim to match the proposal. The few days before our job the materials were dropped off. Some of the materials were damaged. We sent an email to Scott. His supplier promptly replaced the damaged pieces and called us to apologize and explain how this happened. This was handled very professionally. The day our roof was replaced, the work crew started early. They backed a truck into our driveway so they were able to discard the old materials directly into the truck. We think this made sense so there would be less impact to the yard and less chance of nails in the grass and bushes. We witnessed other roofers who threw the old roofing material over all sides of the house, only to pick it up later. The shingles were delivered already up on the roof, which makes a lot of sense. We witnessed other roofing crews having to carry them up, which added time and wasted energy. During the install a brief rain shower occurred. The crew was well prepared and had the roof covered in plastic before the rain started. Ten minutes later the sky was clear and they were back to work, without any wood getting wet: Very impressed with this. We watched other roofing crews struggling to get tarps up as it was raining and others only had enough time to get off the roof and left the roof unprotected. Our crew took very few breaks. Their short lunch was eaten while sitting on the front lawn. It was very apparent that they were there to get the job done and not to waste time. By late afternoon they had completed the job, from start to finish. We witnessed other roofing crews in our area taking at least two and as much as five days to do other similar roofs. To do the entire job in one day was very much appreciated. We did not see any shortcuts, just a dedicated crew who worked very efficiently. They cleaned up pretty good, including using a magnet to pick up nails in the yard. Naturally we found a few missed nails and other small debris, which one would expect. One last note: Many people are sold a roofing job by a contractor who works the neighborhood selling, then sub-contracts the jobs out to outside crews. The obvious problem with this is that it is in the contractor's best interest to hire the cheapest crew willing to take the job. From discussions with others, what you get is a smooth talking salesman who promises to handle everything, followed by poor quality work, then a contractor that is nowhere to be found. We decided that it was much better to hire a local roofing company where you get a company who does the actual work with their own employees. We believe that quality is important, and that this is the best form of quality control. We also cut out whatever additional amount paid to the contractor that doesn?t go to the roofers. Lastly, we liked that our questions and concerns were addressed by the actual people doing the work. You can hire Christian Brothers Roofing with confidence that they will do a quality job.
