I was preparing to sell my house, so I was hoping to get the work completed asap. They told me up to a 10 day turnaround but then were there in less than 5. I'm very happy with the replacement of my roof by Christian Brothers Roofing. Adam Thorne did a great job of explaining what work would be done. He gave a very informative presentation and I'm glad he was the first person who bid because I learned a lot about current roofing systems. When I had follow-up questions he responded quickly. It is important to me that a contractor communicate well and Adam excelled in this area. Jordan Horstmann kept me up-to-date with scheduling changes that are just part of having outside work done. She also provided me with proof of insurance quickly. Her attention to detail made the project stress-free. Adam and Jordan gave me confidence that they were on top of the project and that all would go smoothly. Nothing went wrong, but their quick and professional responses gave me confidence that if something had, they could work it out. The people who put on the roof did a great job and were very polite. I really appreciate the care they took in sifting through all the ground cover around my house to pick up the old roofing debris. And they avoided damaging my many plants including a few expensive trees that are close to the house. When they left, everything in the yard and driveway was completely cleared away. I would highly recommend Christian Brothers Roofing. I wanted a roof with Malarkey shingles and they are a certified installer. So, for me, they were the whole package: Certified installers, great communicators, knowledgeable, and they did excellent work.

Last year I had 2 roofing contractors come out to look at my roof because I had some shingles lifting and my roof was only 8 1/2 years old. Both of them said I needed a new roof. Then I got sick and could not follow through until this year (2109). In April I called Christian Brothers Roofing about a roof replacement. Kevin came out and gave me an estimate to replace my roof. He based his estimate on my roof size but did not climb up and look at the roof as the previous 2 roofers had done. We were in the process of picking out colors and he was going to help me file a claim with the shingle manufacturer so he came out and climbed up on my roof to get some pictures. When he came down I was shocked. He said I didn't need a new roof and that this one could last 10 more years. When I showed Kevin my pictures of the lifting shingles (they settle back down when the weather warms) he went back up and inspected that section more carefully. He told me that there were some shingles in that one section that looked like the nail guns were set at too high of a pressure and were driven through the shingle. He told me it could be fixed with mastic to ensure that they would not lift. Within the week he had a worker out to repair my roof. I had called Christian Brothers because they had replaced my neighbor's roof and I was impressed with how quickly they did the job. Now I am much more impressed with their honesty and helpfulness.

Kevin Horstmann came out and repaired my leaks. He did an excellent job. He was extremely knowledgeable and accessed the problems and fixed the leak. I have had problems with roof leaks for many years that I could not get fixed with other roofing companies. I would highly recommend Christian Brothers Roofing for repair or new roof.

I requested the quote last weekend, and the company contacted me immediately on Monday and scheduled the appoitment for today. Daniel called me before he left and arrived right on time. He explained everything very clearly and in detail, helped me solve the issue in no time! Very impressive and professional! Would for sure recommend to my friends and hire again if needed!

Everything was perfect and seamless. Daniel was a true professional who was quick to respond with any and all the questions that I asked. I work a lot, so for the first consultation and estimate, he spoke with my wife. When I asked my wife how she felt with Daniel she said he was very polite and made her feel very comfortable, which in turn made me feel comfortable. The workers were very polite as well and made sure to clean up after they had finished the job. The following day, Daniel came back to the house to make sure all the nails and trash had been cleaned up. I have a lot of landscaping and they made sure to protect it from falling debris.

I have a new favorite company in KC!!! Daniel came out a day after I submitted my request to look into a leak that had developed causing issues in our closet ceiling. I had assumed there was an issue with the roof but after Daniel did a thorough investigation on the roof itself and then crawling around the attic he determined that wasn't the case. He identified the water was coming from a leaky bathroom vent to the outside and took a variety of pictures to confirm his findings. The responsiveness and thoroughness would be top notch by itself but he then say since there weren't any issues with the roof there would be no charge for the visit and troubleshooting. I was shocked that a company still operates in this way in this day and age. I can say enough good things about Daniel and Christian brothers, they will be at the top of my list to refer to friends and families and for myself for any future needs.

The process went very well. They discussed everything that would take place and when. The prices was outlined well with no hidden charges/fees.

We are extremely pleased with Christian Brothers Roofing. We only wish we could find similar companies for all our other renovation needs. While Christian Brothers was not the cheapest bid, it was the most comprehensive. Our project manager, Adam, was patient in answering all our questions as to where the extra expense was warranted. In the end, we felt like the other companies were not covering all the bases. We are confident Christian Brothers did! In this season of renovation and many let downs with other services, Adam and Christian Brothers have demonstrated that true professionals are indeed out there. A note about Adam in particular: He was a pleasure to work with. I was impressed and relieved at how he was prepared to educate us on the process. We have had some contractors act like we should already know the ins and outs of their trades. That is discouraging. With Adam we learned along the way and enjoyed the process. Adam's strong character and attention to detail was on display throughout the process. As a mom to a young son, I hope and pray my son will conduct his business similarly some day.

it went quite smooth. The crew was awesome and worked very fast and hard. They finished in one day. They swept the driveway and picked up around the house when they were done with the roof. They were very careful with the plants around the house.

I’ve been battling ceiling leaks in my living room and garage ceilings for about ten years. In that time, multiple roofers have re-flashed, done valley reinforcement, done a water test using a hose, and re-roofed due to hail damage. Still it leaked. Then, this summer, a Christian Brothers truck showed up on my street as Ryan Horstmann was checking out a neighbor’s roof. God nudged me and said, “Ask him.” I asked Ryan to please check out my leak, and he did the following week. Doing another leak test with a hose, he recreated the living room leak in about 5 mins by holding the hose above the upper sill of the upstairs window. Boom! The upstairs windows are leaking, not the roof! Problem solved. Out of gratitude, I offered to pay Ryan, but he wouldn’t take money for the free estimate and evaluation that ended this ordeal for me. They didn’t make a dime for solving my 10-year leak problem. Christian Brothers Roofing is perhaps the most honest, skilled, dedicated, and Godly roofing company in KC. We were referred to Christian Brothers from a neighbor 4 doors down from us. They had a roof, and gutter replacement last year. From our first call in setting an appointment, we had regular communication. All our questions were answered. Franklin, our job coordinator, was extremely helpful to us in dealing with the Insurance Company. He kept us informed all through the job process. We couldn't be happier with the speed, and quality of the job. At the end of the job, there was barely any evidence of the work, except for a great new roof. Needless to say, we HIGHLY recommend them.

Adam Thorne was great. He explained in great detail what was needed. He also found various ways for me to save and helped work with my insurance company. During the work, he found that not all of the decking needed replacing. I got a phone call telling me this and that the price is a little less. He made a new contract with the adjusted price. Quality work.

Firstly, Shea at the home office, was extremely responsive and was able to get a technician to the property within 60 minutes of our request for help. Second, Christian, the field technician, quickly provided an on-site inspection ... going up on the roof to do so. In an age when customers are often “at the mercy” of the service provider, and often pay for services when that might not be necessarily be needed, Christian provided an honest and accurate assessment, complete with pictures, which were quickly sent to us via phone. His assessment was that we did not need to replace our roof, and that only very minor repairs were needed (a few missing shingles and the need for a few vents to be installed). We contacted Christian Brothers because of their excellent reputation on Angie’s List and subsequently found them to exhibit the highest level of integrity. Although we did not require the repair as noted, we will definitely contact them when the time comes. A great experience with an honest company.

We recently replaced our roof, gutters and downspouts on our single-family home. The roof was over 15 years old. Although no leaks had yet developed, in the last year lots of shingle debris had begun sluffing off into the downspouts, staining the sidewalks and patio. In my past work history, I had been responsible for selecting and contracting providers on many commercial projects. Accordingly, I first defined specifically the minimum specification I wanted to be included in all quotes from suppliers. I then studied Angie’s List for the top-rated roof installation suppliers in our area. Those that I contacted had to have a high number of complete ‘tear off and replace’ roof jobs. And their overall score had to be ‘A’ ratings on those jobs. From this analysis, I came up with four suppliers that stood out from the others, based on my analysis. I then went through these supplier’s websites looking for stability, experienced ownership, etc. I then contacted each of these 4 suppliers and invited them to come look at our roof, review my specification, and provide a bid accordingly. Three of these suppliers called within 8 hours and met with me shortly after each call (I am retired). Each provided me a written bid/Offer/Contract by the end of the third day after being contacted. All contractor bid using GAF shingles, although I did not specify any manufacture. The forth supplier did not call until I already had bids from the others, so I chose not to work with them. We knew the completed job, including the upgrades and improvements we specified, was going to be in excess of $20,000. The supplier that I chose was not the most expensive, but he was not the least expensive either. I chose Christian Brothers Roofing LLC (CBR). Franklin Vickery was the representative who worked on the quote with us and he was also with us through and after completion of the job. He made an effort to see that we were happy at every step. A few factors that lead us to choose CBR were: how quickly Franklin got back to us on questions, his overall can-do attitude, and his willingness to negotiate and offer suggestions on how we could improve our overall roof set-up. Additionally, they estimated the job would take 2-3 days, assuming no weather problems. CBR also is a Certified GAF Master Elite Contractor (GAF is the manufacture of the shingles and roofing system). GAF provides us an extended Limited Warrantee and CBR, to be certified, had demonstrated to the manufacture that they install GAF products as specified by GAF. Finally, and very important when hiring a contractor, read the fine print, usually on the back of their quote/offer. Most are radically written in favor of the contractor vs. the buyer. Negotiate each point that seems unreasonable, and do not work with a contractor who forces you to give up many of your legal rights. If you sign their agreement, unchallenged, you could be stuck with a bad deal, especially if something goes wrong. We are extremely happy with the completed job! The job was completed in 2 days. CBR cleaned up daily and swept the yard and flower beds with a magnet. They also and swept the driveway for debris, daily. They started on time daily and did not quit till 5pm, later on the 2ng day. The crew was well organized and managed throughout the job. Although some shrub damage did occur, which we were warned about prior to the work starting, most were protected and remained undamaged. Following completion of the new roof, within a few days a team from CBR came to replace our gutters and downspouts. This effort also moved a long well and was completed within 2 days. In the following week both Franklin and one of his staff whose expertise was gutters and downspouts, walked around our house with my wife and addressed any questions or concerns she might have. They did make a few adjustments making my wife very happy and this job was done. Great customer service and support throughout. I wish more contractors were this good.

Overall it went very well. We got what we expected - a new roof with new venting of our upstairs bathrooms and new gutters. The project was done quickly although the project manager underestimated the time for the roof to be replaced. He thought it could be done in a day, but it ended up taking 3 days. However, the second and third days were not full work days. They needed to finish some specific tasks up. The gutters were done a few weeks later and it took only a few hours - we have a rather simple gutter line.

They are an outstanding company to do business with. I think the quality of their work is excellent and I think their pricing is very fair. I have already recommended them to all my neighbors and friends. It is always a pleasure to do business with a company that you can trust.
