Scott and Christi Buchman are real life hero's! I'd foolishly went with another "top company" here on Angie's list, who ended up quitting mid-job at the slightest sign of difficulty. Having a half finished job with my front wall dug out down 8ft to the footing, I was in a bad spot. Luckily I was able to call Buchman's and hire them to complete the job that was too much for the "big guys". The Buchman's crew was fantastic, they were friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful, they arrived on time every morning and worked hard all day until it was quitting time. They also explained the whole repair process in detail to me up front and kept me in the loop on their progress, answering any questions I had along the way. Scott and Christi are wonderful, honest people and were a joy to work with. The quality of their work was second to none, everything was done accurately and in a logical, thought out manner. Even better, at the end of the job they hire their own civil engineer to come and inspect their work and provide a copy of the engineer's report to the homeowner as well, free of charge! I've not encountered another company willing to have their work inspected by an independent engineer upon completion, and it's just another example of the fantastic way the Buchmans run their business. Do not make the same mistake I did by hiring someone else first, go with the Buchmans from day 1 and you'll be well taken care of!

Went well. Hardly knew they were there. Completed the job, cleaned up and were finished.

Do it from the inside primarily. If they can. Very responsive, and will continue to come out until it gets fix. If they get to the point where they can't fix it, they refund what you gave them. Never lose nothing, but time. I only lost time. They fix it, and you have to wait for the next rain. It doesn't rain regularly here. I noticed it was some more little leaks. A lot cheaper than other alternatives.

Crew was on time, careful to prep the location to block off rest of the home from dust/debris. Work was done carefully, with close review by owner.

SCOTT BUCHMAN'S SOLUTION FOR MY BOWING BASEMENT WALLS WAS TO USE FIVE HEAVY STEEL POSTS TO PREVENT FURTHER INWARD MOVEMENT. THESE POSTS WERE ANCHORED IN THE BASEMENT FLOOR AND WERE TO BE ANCHORED IN THE FLOOR JOISTS ABOVE. THEY DID JUST FINE PUTTING THEM INTO THE FLOOR BUT DID A TERRIBLE JOB CONNECTING THEM TO THE JOISTS WHICH CAN CAUSE UNEVEN PRESSURE TO BE PLACE ON THE HOUSE AND ULTIMATELY LEAD TO SEVERE STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO THE ENTIRE HOUSE. WHEN I BROUGHT THIS ISSUE TO SCOTT'S ATTENTION, HE GOT ANGRY AND REFUSED TO COME BACK AND INSPECT THE WORK. I HAVE SPENT CONSIDERABLE TIME AND MONEY FIXING HIS MISTAKE AND WOULD NEVER USE HIM AGAIN.
