My home was inspected by Babich & Assc. for the buyers of my home in which I was selling. The buyers were wanting to back out of the deal so they called this company in (so if that is what you are trying to accomplish, this would be the guy to call!) He showed up at my house on New Years Eve with no ntoice and no appointment wanting to check for moisture behind the walls on the outside of my home (built in 2000). He then stood at my front door after I asked him what this was for and said that he was going to check for moisture and "that 99% of the homes he inspects fail, because they have moisture behind them" and that he normally doesn't do this type of work anymore because he now works for a multi-millionare here in the Kansas City area that also has a home in Phoenix, repairing his homes each time it rains because he has so much moisture behind his walls". It was 2 degrees out the day that he wanted to inspect the house and my husband went out to watch what he was doing and see the inspection was going. His equipment failed numerous times and he kept putting the machine in his shirt inside his jacket to "warm it up, so that it read accuratley" This man is a scam and his company is a scam. He then proceeded to make a report saying that there was in fact water damage to the front of our house and that we needed to tear out three spaces off the front of our house. Because of this the buyers "opted to back out" 10 days before closing on the sale and went on to purchase the home they wanted to start with next door. We then had someone come out and do the work to the home that he said was bad, thinking that we had water damage inside the walls and NOTHING was wrong with the home!! There was no moisture, no evidence of previous moisture damage, no "mold" or rotting beams all of which he claimed was wrong with the home. Please do not use this company!!!!

Bob was extremely thorough in his inspection and explained the problem areas to us in detail. He was punctual, communicated with us effectively and was very pleasant to work with. Bob was also good about reassuring us that our problems could be fixed.
Description of Work: I called Bob Babich after being referred to him by the Pella Window dealer in KC. We had been having water leaking into the house for the past year, and we did not know what the cause was. We did have one Pella window that was obviously leaking, however, and that is why we initially contacted Pella. Bob came out to the house and did a very thorough inspection of the house for any places where water could be penetrating the house. Bob provided a very detailed report for us of the problem areas and also gave us extensive information on how to correct the problems, and which products he recommended we use.
