I asked for an estimate for a complete 200 amp service upgrade, he was a little on the high end but not too far off, the deal breaker was that he did not accept credit cards. I hate to think about the money missed out on due to this...

+ 0 moreThe whole experience was positive. Angel was on time and professional. He was very upfront in addressing my concerns and telling me how much everything would cost. He helped me understand how my house was wired and what was worth fixing and when.
Description of Work: I had a blown lampholder in the basement to replace, a 240V outlet to convert to a 120V, and some fuses in the breaker box that were doubled up on circuits. Angel had all the equipment he needed and fixed all of these items in a timely fashion.

+ -1 morelI called ARM about eight o'clock in the morning. The owner himself was at the site before eleven. He quickly identified the problem and rewired the switch to connect the errant ground wire. He was polite, professional and very easy to deal with.
Description of Work: This was a problem with electricity in the living room of a rental house. There wasn't any. Our rented couldn't even watch television. ARM's response to our call for help was vry prompt. A grounding wire had come disconnected in the main light switch.

Description of Work: I have been using ARM for over ten years. Comes on short notice (even on Saturdays) usually after we have an electric issue. Some times caused by another contractor and he has always fixed the problem. Great service I would recommend him if you have the need for an electrician. Our central AC and the lights in the house were dimming. The AC provider said it was the a breaker in the fuse box. I called ARM he came early the next day(Sat) and said it was power company issue. A cracked underground power line caused the problem. Since he was at house I him put a circuit breaker in the box and change two outlets in the house. Great work!

He came in on a Saturday, which is even more amazing! I will use him in the future and I WILL recommend him to anyone requiring electrical work in the future. We ran into a couple snags because of what the previous home owner had done to the wiring. Angel worked around these issues and was able to get my circuit installed successfully. I was thoroughly impressed with Angel and feel lucky and blessed to have met him.
Description of Work: I needed a new 20 amp circuit for our home office as the existing circuit was being overloaded. Unfortunately my basement is finished so running the new circuit was not an easy job! Angel reviewed the existing wiring and ran a new circuit for me. We originally thought he could tap into some existing wiring, but unfortunately the previous home owner had butchered the wiring making the job much more difficult. I'm guessing other electricians would not have continued working on this job because it was more difficult then originally planned. Angel kept working until the job was completed. Much appreciated Angel!

+ -1 moreMain breaker had started to trip even though none of the individual breakers had tripped and at times when there was no load on the system. Logical suspect was a bad main breaker. I called ARM, Angel answered the phone, he was nearby and was able to come that same day. Angel agreed the main breaker was bad: it was very warm to the touch with no load on it. He had a replacement in his truck and warrantied it for 2 years. He also noted that my a/c breaker was too large and replaced it with the correct size and included that as part of his original quoted price. When he left I emailed my kids, my brother-in-law, even my ex-wife to give them Angel's contact info with my strong recommendation.
Description of Work: Angel replaced the main breaker in a 35 year old pushmatic breaker box.

He gave my husband the opportunity to do some of the handyman work in advance, if he wanted to save some money. Angel told him what he could do to save some time and he did it. Angel arrived on time, was very efficient, professional and thorough. We are very happy with our heated floor and my husband is delighted that I have my own outlet on the opposite side of the vanity. I would highly recommend Angel to anyone in need of electrical work.
Description of Work: My husband was installing a heated floor strip, then tiling over it. We needed someone to connect it to the power and install the thermostat. In addition, we needed an additional outlet added to the mirror area.

+ 2 moreOn separate occasions I arranged for Angel to: Run new electrical lines through the house walls from the breaker box to outlets which he also installed. He installed both 120 & 220 volt wiring. Wire and install can ceiling lights. Run electrical power to open and close skylights. Ran some heavy duty (for a house anyway) wiring from the breaker box to a induction range (60 amps / 220V). Also ran service for a 220V radial arm saw. He was always on time and did dependable work on all of these projects.
Description of Work: Angel did very nice work on electrical projects at my house! New electrical lines / outlets, installed in ceiling lights, ran power to a couple of my skylights, brought some heavy duty power from the breaker box to my new induction stove, …… . - Knowledgeable - Get the job done attitude - On time - On budget - Willing to work with you on time work can be done. In my case he went out of his way to schedule time the day before Thanksgiving for the install of a range which had been delivered late. - Suggested ways to reduce the cost of running new electrical lines in the house. Highly recommended!!!!

A few nights after the work my husband commented that Angel was someone he would enjoy getting to know better because "he had integrity to spare". Today we received a thank you note in the mail! You would not be disappointed with Arm Electric.
Description of Work: Wired a 220 outlet and installed new electric stove in very tight quarters in basement. Leveled stove and set clock without being asked. Rewired a light above the kitchen sink to turn on when the lights over the kitchen island came on.

Quite the contrary: he talked us out of a couple of projects we had planned because he felt the results wouldn't justify the cost. Amazing. I can't imagine a better experience or a better electrician.
Description of Work: Angel spent 1 1/2 days completing lots of projects such as rewiring lights, adding wiring and switches, adding fan lights, etc. He easily solved some problems that had stumped previous electricians.

+ -1 moreWe are selling a house. Based on the inspection, a circuit breaker needed to be replaced. We did not have the full inspection report showing which breaker needed to be replaced, however. I called Mr Martinez and he came by the same afternoon. He determined which breaker he thought needed to be replaced and did the work. He was very clear that he could not guarentee that the breaker he replaced was the one noted in the report. We later received the full inspection report and he the breaker he replaced was the correct breaker. We will definitely call Mr Martinez first if we need additional electrical work.

Description of Work: Based on the reviews at Angies List, I called ARM to give me a price estimate on doing some fairly extensive rewiring in a rental house I just bought. Angel came out looked over the job and gave me an itemized price quote and work plan (at no cost) to complete the job. I told him that I had some wiring in the past but that I was not comfortable hooking in to the breaker box. He said that he would not mind if I did as much of the work myself and even showed me how to wire into the breaker box. He said just call him when I got tired of it or had a problem and he would come back to the house and provide a different price at that time. He gave me lots of pointers and made some great suggestions about the electrical work and even advise about renting property - he has rental property also. I completed most of the work myself, called Angel and he showed up the next day. He gave me a price of $200.00 to finish wiring a stove circuit, inspect the work that I had completed and connect a couple circuits to the breaker box (but yes I did wire most of the circuts to the box myself) and some other miscellaneous work. He asked me if that was acceptable (I thought it was extremely acceptable). Like Angel told me, he does not do the work any better or differently than another electrician they all wire pretty much the same way. For me, what he provided was an extremely high level of honesty and reliability. You could also tell that he genuinely likes people and what he is doing. He is just an all around nice person.

The jobs would have been done at the same time had all the fans been in stock. Angel's intial visit to give us an estimate was very courteous and friendly. We gave him a list of what we wanted done and he gave us individual pricing so we could get things done as our budget allowed. Angel was very helpful through all phases of the project and worked with us to achieve our goals.
Description of Work: Angel installed two new ceiling fans including running the electrical wiring as the rooms didn't have existing lights or power where the fans were to be installed.
