They always stayed in contact, from the appraisal to completion. Always called on time and kept all appointments. Professional, friendly, and caring. They have even come out twice since completion to check out completed project. I will recommend them to everyone I know!

I called 3 times trying to get a estimate for roofing services. They came out but never got back with me with a estimate. They took my email twice and never sent the estimate. They told me it was coming and never sent it. I waited for 2 weeks for the estimate they promised after inspecting the roof but it never came. Would not use this company.

Everything went quickly and smoothly. We had already had a vacation scheduled so the owner took over in making appointments with the insurance adjuster and meeting with them while we were out of town. He kept both my husband and I updated through email and text messages, which were our preferred methods, and when we got home everything was set up and ready for installation. The installation took a few days and then they cleaned up everything very well. We couldn't be happier. They were referred to us by a family who were just as happy with their roof that Ameristar installed.

I thought there was a leak on my roof in the master bath. John called and was prompt. He then started his inspection. He crawled up into the roof, looked around. There was a spot he could not get to, which was where the leak was. He then crawled upon the roof with snow all around, and took pictures. He spent almost an hour doing the looking. He then told me possible wind and snow swirling around could be the culprit. He then told me to keep an eye on this and if it got worse, please call and he would come back out.

I think they did an excellent job. We had wind damage on the roof, and the insurance company paid for it.

I am amazed to hear the stories of problems. I had a wonderful experience with Ameristar. They gave us a reasonable estimate, dealt with our insurance company (really went to bat for us, and even got them to add fence replacement!) They educated us on the different quality products that were available, and after our independent research through consumer reports etc we found they had been honest and had represented the products truthfully. They got the work done in a reasonable amount of time (EVERYONE in the neighborhood had damage so there was a backlog, but it was still was fairly quick.) The roofers were considerate, and kept the job site tidy. The adjuster mentioned that the work was good, and Ameristar came in right on bid without a penny out of our pocket. Thank you Ameristar!

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL service from Ameristar. I was referred to them by a friend who had contracted them to replace his hail-damaged roof. Initially the sales agent was responsive. Came over quickly and talked a good line, and spent some time diagramming the roof. He said he would contact me soon with a bid. After a week went by, I finally called the sales agent and asked where the bid was. He said, "Who are you?" ..."What's your address?"..."Ummmm.....I don't know if I have anything on you". I reminded him who I was and who the referring homeowner was and he said, "Oh yea, I remember now....I don't know if I can find your paperwork." He hadn't contacted my insurance company like he said he would, and he didn't do ANYTHING on the bid. He said he would get right on it, and contact me soon. Soon never came, the sales agent never called back. I called the sales agent four times and left voice mail for him to call me...no reply. Finally, I called the main office in Pleasant Hill and asked to speak to a manager or the owner. The woman that answered the phone said she would contact the owner right away and have him call me. When he didn't call back, I contacted Pleasant Hill again and asked to speak right now to the owner. He wasn't in, and never returned my call. These clowns jerked me around waiting on my bid for several weeks, and delayed getting my roof repaired. My friend that referred them to me now regrets he gave a referral because now they won't call HIM back regarding some work that still needs to be done. His insurance company is holding a check for over $14,000 worth of work and my friend said he will tell Ameristar to get the job done as contracted SOON, or he will advise the insurance company to keep the $14,000 check. DO NOT use this unprofessional, incompetent organization. As you can see from the "F" grade they earned by another Angie's List member in August, this company has serious problems and you don't want to get involved. They have earned an "F" grade from me

I called for an estimate and a time was set up for the following Monday at 6:30 PM (approximately a week from when I called, which was great). The estimator called me Monday at 6:28 PM and said he was driving out of state to pick up something he bought- so we rescheduled for Wednesday at 6:30 PM. Wednesday came, and at 7:00 PM I called him and asked him if he was coming, and he said he was approximately half an hour away, and was in heavy traffic. He told me where he was at, and 1) there wouldn't have been traffic there at that time, and 2) it wouldn't have taken half an hour to get to my place, traffic or not. Over an hour later, his wife called and said that he had been called into a meeting by his boss, and didn't get a chance to call me. By this time it was 8:30, but she said if he got out of his meeting before dark he would come up and do the estimate. That was the last time I was contacted by anyone regarding the estimate.

Overall it ws a very good experiance. They priced thier work the lowest and did a quality job. Workers cleaned up the area each night. They protected my wifes flowers and our bushes (no damage). They quickly reworked the 3 minor item that we had issue with. A grand experiance. We even refered our Daughter to them. If you use them tell them Mark Finch sent you.

They gave us some good information about the roofing and they gave us some addresses to go look at for different styles of roofing because we had a couple of different styles and colors that we were thinking about. He was pretty thorough in his explanation of the type of work they would do. He had detailed information about scheduling and what they were going to do. He explained the different styles and types of roofs. We are in the process of getting additional bids now.

We called the company and they sent out "Bill" on Saturday morning to look at our roof and make an estimate. He was very professional and seemed very knowledgeable about what needed to be done to fix our leak. Our only complaint was that we had to call him several times to secure a date for the work to be done. And, the repairman was supposed to have called us on Friday (didn't) and then called on Monday and said he would be out Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning, but didn't show up either time. He called my work phone number early on Wednesday morning and left a message apologizing and then came out later on Wednesday. He made the repairs and finished on Thursday. They were very professional and cleaned up the trash and there was no evidence that they had been there except for the new flashing around the fireplace. We thought the price was a bit high, but didn't get a bid from anyone else so didn't have anything to compare to.

I called Ameristar Roofing Saturday morning, It was a busy day for Ameristar, and I was told that somebody would be contacting me about setting up an appointment. That somebody was Ron Socha. He said that he would be able to come by and look at the roof on Sunday afternoon. About 12:10 PM Sunday afternoon, Ron called and said he was about 40 minutes from my house. Approximately 40 minutes later there was Ron and his truck. After climbing up on the roof, Ron came down and said that my roof actually was in good shape, however, there were some holes in the roof that just needed caulking. There were holes near where the furnace pipes came up through the roof. He caulked those and any other holes that he saw. He said that the roof probably would last another 3 years. He charged me $20.00 for the caulking. Ameristar does not charge anything for the roof inspection. If in about 3 years and my roof needs repair, I know who I am going to call to fix it!!!

I was very pleased with what they did. They were very good to deal with. They did everything that they said they were going to do. I have no complaints at this point. They were easy to get hold of if I had any questions. They called me back very quickly if they couldn’t answer my phone. They tried to do whatever I requested. My neighbors who had used him were pleased with him, so I went with him.

Asked them to give a quote. Jessie came by. Was very nice. Addressed all our questions. Even climbed the roof and took pictures (the only person to do that among all contractors). Really impressed with her being thorough. She said that she will get back to us within next few days. After several days, got in touch with her and she said she will get a quote. But have not heard back from her. So, went with another contractor. It is likely that she might have been quite busy, but would have appreciated a call. Was quite impressed with her knowledge and if she submitted a quote, we would have seriously considered going with her.

They did everything they said they were going to do. They did it for the price they said they would do. We special ordered shingles for one house and it took a long time to come in. Other than that it was a very good experience. I got what I expected and they were able to do it within the estimated budget of the insurance company.

Ameristar replaced several other roofs in my area, so I used them based on my neighbor's recommendation. Their policy is that they take no payment until after the roof is installed and the salesperson revisits your house to ensure you are 100% satisfied with the job they did. In addition to that, another inspection was performed about 3 months after my roof was installed to ensure everything was OK. The actual re-roofing was performed when I was out of town, so I did not see the actual re-shingling. However, the yard was very clean when I returned. They performed a magnetic nail sweep and removed all trash and debris. I was very pleased with the quality of the work that was performed and the professionalism of the people who work for Ameristar Roofing.
