Always Plumbing LLC was contracted by Lowe's to install 2 new 40 gallon water heaters in my home near Kearney. They arrived exactly on time, delivered and installed the water heaters. They were exceptionally professional and meticulous in their work, provided additional parts needed at no extra cost, tested their work, cleaned up the work area, and removed the old water heaters to recycling. I almost felt that Dennis and Michael from Always Plumbing were family members because they were so friendly and also very careful in performing the service needed. The cost above includes the water heaters, water heater kits, and all parts and labor. I can't speak any higher in my praise for their work and professionalism. I will be using them for all future plumbing problems.

Don with Always Plumbing came to install my water heater purchased through Lowes. Lowes actually sold/supplied the wrong connectors and also missed the necessary changes needed in the venting. Don exchanged the parts, purchased the necessary missing pieces and only charged my for parts (no additional labor cost) Very professional and thorough.

Wednesday morning we discovered we had no hot water. My husband went to check the hot water heaters and found one was leaking. We called Always Plumbing, which had previously fixed some minor plumbing problems at our house in a more than satisfactory manner. Matt showed up a little late because his first jobs that day had run over. We had no problem with this because he called us ahead of time to let us know and we had been added to the schedule at the last moment. Matt had not done work for us before; Dennis had. Dennis had also done work at our son's house, and we had been impressed with his service. Matt told me that he was a master plumber like Dennis. Matt seemed to know what he was doing, too. He explained that if the pipes for the water heaters were in parallel rather than series, the house could still have hot water if one hot water heater failed. After the cold-water shower that morning, reconfiguring the pipes seemed like an excellent idea. Matt prepared a bid for replacing the water heater and reconfiguring the pipes. We accepted the bid. The downside was that the work could not be done until Friday. Friday morning Matt returned. When he tried to shut off the water to the entire house in order to work on the water heaters, he discovered that the entrance valve was broken. Matt had to shut the water off at the street. Repairing the entrance valve would require a different visit, so I set up another appointment for the following Wednesday morning. Soon thereafter, my husband discovered that one of the toilets would not stop running, but Always Plumbing added the extra job to the Wednesday appointment with no problem on their part. So, Matt replaced the water heater and reconfigured the pipes. My husband looked at the work when Matt finished and noticed a small leak in one of the new water valves. Matt was embarrassed and fixed the problem right away before he left. So far, so good. After Matt left, my husband and I left for an overnight trip to Springfield so that he could arrive at his business meeting on Saturday morning on time. About 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, we returned home, walked into the house, and smelled the mercaptan put into natural gas so leaks are noticed. My husband and I went outside, called Missouri Gas Energy, and waited in the cold. The man from MGE was quite nice. He found, using his spray bottle filled with soap solution, that there were three leaks in the new plumbing and one leak in a gas pipe to the furnace which must have been caused by being bumped during the water heater replacement. The man from MGE immediately shut off the gas going to our furnace and the hot water heaters. Our house did not blow up and, as long as the gas was off, would not blow up. Thus, one day after we paid $1,275 for a new water heater and new pipes, we were worse off than when we started because we no longer had hot water nor did we have heat. We called Always Plumbing three or four times that weekend, beginning on Saturday night, but no one ever called back to answer the messages we left. Finally, the phone at Always Plumbing was answered at 8:00 a.m. on Monday. There was no explanation why we were not called back, especially since our no hot water/no heat situation had been caused by Matt. Matt did come out that morning and repair the leaks. This time he double checked the connections. Matt told my husband that the man from MGE was wrong; there had not been four leaks, only one (or maybe two--I don't remember). My husband decided to keep the Wednesday appointment in order to give Always Plumbing one more chance. Today is Wednesday. No plumber came to the house nor called. Early this afternoon I called Always Plumbing and was told that our emergency appointment on Monday morning had somehow automatically deleted our scheduled Wednesday appointment. The receptionist offered to reschedule the repairs, but, by then, I had already decided to call a different plumbing company.

We have been using Dennis for a number of years. He is a master plumber. He always does what he says he is going to do, he arrives on time, and he is very trustworthy. He and his coworkers have been in our house alone in the past, and I feel like I can trust him.

I purchased the parts at Loews and they gave me the company's name for installation. Dennis did a great job installing but wasn't customer service oriented at all.

VERY SPEEDY, ALMOST TOO FAST! DID A GREAT JOB. SHOWED ME WHAT HE WAS DOING AND WHY--CHECKED SEVERAL TIMES TO MAKE SURE THAT IT WAS FLUSHING CORRECTLY AND SHOWED ME WITH A MIRROR A 'CLEAR' PIPE. THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY, TOO.
