Mike and his crew were great to work with from the estimate process through the completion of the project. Two days in and out, including caulking all siding and trim, replacing rotting trim boards as needed, and custom-made shutters. Couldn't be more responsive or easier to work with.

It took about 2 months for Mike, the owner, to finally let us know when he'd be coming out. He sent out a crew on the first week of June. There was one guy that appeared to be the manager of the crew. It seemed like the crew was subcontracted because we noticed nothing was really happening and the supervisor said that Mike never told him how much wood rot there was and that he wasn't prepared. I asked him if this was his crew and he said that he had his own company, called Proficient Painting and that Mike had subcontracted him because he needed help. Mike never informed us of that. The crew began to do little things here and there but they didn't get very much done. They left and came back on Monday and they began cutting wood for the lap siding and had no professional tools whatsoever. They said they were struggling all week long. As for the painting, I found a bucket of the wrong paint color on my deck. I wondered where that came from because it was clearly the wrong color. I noticed later that the house was painted the entirely wrong color. When I brought this to the manager's attention, he seemed to blow us off. Also, they didn't put the siding on correctly. There were 1 inch gaps in the pieces and it was a very poor job. Mike came out to look at everything and told me his crew was not capable of repairing the lap siding, but that he would come by later to fix it and look at the paint. They did not come back for 2 months. They did fix the top piece, but we still couldn't get our screens in. That was basically the last time anyone came out. My house is painted 4 different tones of color. We still have windows that are not finished. The shutters are still not on and the screens are not in. He also brought his 12 year old daughter out on the job and was having her help paint my house. We paid him the deposit of $4000 and then he wanted more money, which we paid. My husband has numerous emails of him telling us he would be coming back out and then giving us several excuses, stating that his wife was in hospital or that he was going to send out a Sherwin-Williams guy, but then kept saying that he was out of town and that he eventually got a new job. He would promise that he would come out and would never show up. We have been as patient as can be. We eventually gave up, but then received an email from him saying that he would come out today, so we decided to give him another chance. After waiting patiently, he never showed up yet again. We filed a claim against him and he was not willing to come to a resolution. The judge awarded us a settlement.

The process took about two days, one or two pieces of wood trim on house had to be replaced. Then the men had to scrap some and then prime and the the final coat of paint. Everything went extremely well. Mike Othic "the boss" made sure all of my requests were met. Will use again when needed.

Very good work at a very good price. They did a lot of work for us and it was all done well. They were courteous and cleaned up after themselves. Always answered our questions, and were very helpful. We will definitely use them again in the future.
