Affordable Granite of KC

There were parts that were good and parts that were terrible. Chris Reyes did a good job keeping in touch with me. All contact with him was either text, email or phone and sometimes tedious to get details worked out. After much looking and deciding on pieces at the granite warehouses he works with, Chris called a few days ahead of my install and said that the piece I picked had a crack and he was going over to see if the warehouse had another piece that was the same and try to keep my install date the same. He did get another piece and I appreciated his work on this. My install still happened on the day it was scheduled. The installers that were sent to do my job were terrible. The left the edges unpolished, none of the pieces were sealed to the counter, a piece that joined a larger piece installed with a jagged cut and the seam that joined the pieces looking terrible, not to mention that piece was installed crooked, the sink that was purchased from them and installed came loose from the granite after 1 week. These guys were really bad. After contacting Chris, he did find someone to come and finish up all of the work correctly. It took another 2 weeks for that to get finished. The whole process took about 6 weeks from the time I told him what piece I wanted until everything was fixed. Bottom line is they need to hire installers that know what they are doing. I don't know that this was any cheaper than going anywhere else. I did like that I was able to pick out pieces from a TON of choices at the warehouses. Chris seems to be a good guy and did a great job on his side. Install was just terrible.

I would never use or recommend them to anyone from not showing up on time to the quality of work preformed it was really a nightmare. They missed appointments by days not hours. They sent a crew of 2 my home on a sunday to start my install they didn't know they were to remove old countertops and they didn't have granite for island so they left without installing anything at 3 said they would go get the island top and be back in a couple of hours didn't see them again until after 11 pm at that point I told them I didn't want them working on them that night. They didn't come back to finish until the following Thursday night and they weren't installers regularly they were fabricators. I could go on for awhile about what wasn't right but that's just a small part of my issues.

Great! I wanted to use remnants to keep the price down and I had a very specific time frame in which the install had to happen and Chris and team were able to accommodate both! Everyone I interacted with was very friendly, helpful and ready to make sure I got what I needed. There were a few gotchas along the way but Chris quickly responded and everything was installed just as I needed. Will definitely use them again and recommend them to friends!

TERRIBLE!!! They were suppose to be at our house at 7:30am. We called and called and they never answered and we left voicemails. They have yet to return our calls. Took a half a day off work for nothing. Went to the address on their website and it is literally a different company. This company is a scam.

They were excellent. They finished in a timely manner. They did quality work. They were affordable. They were half the price of my other estimate. They cleaned up well afterwards.

I was preparing a home to sell and as a result wanted a quality job for the best price possible. After receiving several bids, this company offered the biggest bang for the buck and didn't disappoint. Installers were professional and courteous; and follow up was great. Highly recommend.

I didn't know they were on Angie's List and I have been a member for several years. I believe I searched Angie's List and then the internet and when I found their website and read about it, I was convinced that they were who I should get an estimate from. Chris Reyes met us at his shop and we selected the granite slab to use. It was all done very professionally and it turned out beautifully. I'm very pleased with their work! And I am planning to use their services again.

I scheduled an in home estimate/measuring with this company and they were a No Show. I called their office only to get transferred to voicemail and did not receive a call back. I won't be scheduling another estimate if this is how they treat their customers.

We couldn’t be more pleased with Affordable Granite. The process from start to finish went flawlessly. When Chris Reyes came to our home, he explained the process and answered our many questions. We received other bids, but decided to proceed with Affordable Granite because we felt confident in the quality, workmanship and professionalism we would receive. We were not disappointed. Each person on his team exhibited the same professionalism and competence – from helping with the color selection to measuring the area and installing the granite - it looks absolutely beautiful. - We couldn’t be more pleased. We are very happy with our new kitchen. Affordable Granite met and exceeded our expectations, and we would recommend them without reservation.

We did quite a bit of research before making our decision on who to go with for our counter tops. Chris was the only contractor that came to our house to do an estimate and it was clear that he knew his craft and made the choice obvious for us. The finished product exceeded out expectations in every way and we are very pleased with the end result. The only reason I did not give them an A is the fact that the project was completed 2 weeks late and we were left without a kitchen over a weekend. They are a busy shop and i understand that because the work is outstanding. I would use them again.
