Description of Work: HandyMan Matters is a local family own business which I highly recommend for your home, from remodeling to residential problem solving. David Pierce and Webster Thomas were knowledgable |professional and very competitive as to cost. This job required a licensed plumber to follow local codes. This job was part of a bathroom remodel; copper pipes, unions, junctions, sweated connections; installation of a cast iron bath tub, fixtures, drain and shower water risers; relocation of copper water lines. Description of Work: They gave me a price of $350.00 to do the job and it ended costing $600.00. Work was done well but I never would have hired it out if I knew how expensive. I had all the material and they used my saw and tools to put down some baseboard and trim in my basement.

Description of Work: I have used this provider in the past but I am disappointed with recent interactions. I called about 10 days ago and they had an appointment on Thursday to patch some drywall and replace and outdoor faucet. I had to call back a couple of times when I was setting up the appointment and they seemed to be confused as to who I was and what I wanted. Then, today, they called to cancel Thursday's appointment and wanted to reschedule in two weeks. This was not acceptable. Their work for us before was good, although I think they are pretty expensive for what they did which was replace a faucet in the bathroom. I will likely NOT call them again.

Description of Work: Set a appointment Oct. 3 2013 @ 3:30p.m. . 5:15 came and no one had showed or called so I call the number listed on Angie list and got a young lady who was very professnal. I explained why I called, she searched came back to say, she couldn't find anything on it. She repeatedly tried calling Jim but got no response. Around 2:15 the next day, David called saying he put my information in as a work order, but the computer keep the work order but did not keep my contact information. Okay I'll give another chance. Set second appointment for Monday 10/7/13 @ 3:30. Jim came looked around and the next time I heard from them was October 14 when I called them to let them know I would be looking for someone else if it cost more money. I got the feeling they really didn't want the job but wasn't men enough to tell me. Two day later David call acting like they had never come out to give the estiment. Wanting to setup an appointment.

Description of Work: The repairman did not arrive at the appointed time. Because the company emphasizes their punctuality, I contacted the company an hour after the scheduled appointment . They verified the time of the appointment and promised to check with the repairman. After waiting another hour and thirty minutes, I called the company again, but they had been unable to contact the repairman. While I was disappointed that the repairman did not show up at all, I was primarily disappointed by the lack of communication regarding the status of the appointment.

Description of Work: I had handyman matters repair some drywall seams, texture, and paint. Troy did a good job. Even-though they charge by the hour which made me nervous the Craftsman worked the entire time he was here, non-stop. The only thing I can down grade them on was we had a few mix ups on timing. I would use them again for small jobs but for a remodel I would want a firm bid.

Description of Work: I contacted David (owner) of Handyman Matters regarding the replacement of double doors at my basement and the replacement of 7 boards on my deck. He and John Green were here the next day, looked over what I needed and scheduled the work for when it was convenient for me. John Green was a blessing (compared to other recent handymen) who showed up on time, was clean, professional, and knew what he was doing.....he worked hard and answered all my questions as only a woman can come up with! I will definately use them again and would recommend them to anyone who is looking for true professionals and fairness in price and quality work. SR

Description of Work: We got several bids for our bath remodeling projects. This company was prompt in returning our calls and answering our questions. We ultimately choose a different contractor.

Description of Work: They reattached our microwave to the cabinetry in our kitchen. They also installed new cabinet doors and cabinet handles.

Description of Work: This is the second time we've used Handyman matters and we will use them in the future. we hired them to remove carpet and linoleum in our hall, kitchen and dining area and install tile floors. Loren and Tony did an outstanding job. the entry came out better than I imagined! they also installed shut off valves for the gas stove and the dishwasher before putting them back in place. we were extremely pleased with their work and their dedication to giving us a quality job. Loren didn't hesitate to tell me if my idea wouldn't work and explain why.
