Description of Work: Assessed problems with Dryer. Chose to repair myself. Very nice guy and explained the problem well and gave us options. Also described cost in relation to replacing the dryer.

He then looked at our washer and quickly ascertained that we needed a new one. He explained that the cost of repair would be close to buying a new one. We really appreciated his honesty and his polite and concerned nature!

Too costly to repair...thought we'd need to buy new refrigerator. However, did not realize at the time that we had actually purchased 5 year extended warranty. Fridge was repaired through Nebraska Furniture Mart assurance plan.

Description of Work: This is a suggestion for Able Appliance Repair's service process. I called because the plastic line on the water dispenser of our side by side refrigerator is cracked. I called and made an appointment and was told to be available from 11-2 p.m. Then, that day, I got a call from the technician and explained the problem, to which he said the only fix would be to replace the entire refrigerator door and that could cost anywhere from $800-$1500. Obviously I decided not to proceed. So while I appreciated the call to troubleshoot, that would have been better beforehand so that I didn't have to block off that time on my calendar. I just think it would be better for customers to get information like that ahead of time, so that they can plan their day better ahead of time. If a service call on-site isn't needed, then you can save your customers time by not having them move other appointments, etc. to set aside time from 11-2 or whatever the time may be.

The man who came out was Justin and he did an awesome job. i had an issue this time for my dryer not drying..of course i couldn't find the name/number of the company. a co worker recommended able appliance repair. i called and made an appt and long and behold..it was the same guy...i was so thrilled it was the same company. Awesome service!! i will def use this company if i need the service again

Description of Work: We called them because the water dispenser on our refrigerator had quit working. Someone came out the same day. The technician pulled the refrigerator out and tested it. The refrigerator was fine, but the water line was frozen. He told us to turn it off for a while to let it thaw. It turns out that was exactly the problem. Even though he spent some time testing the refrigerator, he didn't charge us for the service call or the time spent. We followed his instructions and the problem was solved. I figure if they were willing to do all that for nothing, they can be trusted with any future needs I may have.
