Able Appliance Repair

okay, told them the issue they came out a little late. had to reschedule to get parts.

The owner, Vicki, called to respond to my original review which was quite negative. I explained my concern about the service they performed, and she said she would give a full refund. She is obviously a person who cares deeply about the quality of service her company performs and is willing to address problems directly. I found her to be very honest and professional. Based on her response, I would definitely use them again.

Technician was great, very friendly and shared freely what he was doing, what he saw/heard, recommendations, etc.

Tech was here for 15 minutes. Didn't check the furnace filter which hadn't been replaced for 2 years. Said he didn't need to clean anything as it wasn't dirty. Very disappointing experience, and I would never use them again. Charged us $110.

Perfect! Had to order parts for both. Came back the next day to install. Serviceman (Zach) was professional and knowledgeable. This is the second time we have used Able and we will definitely use them in the future.

I appreciate that Charlie took time to discuss options with me, free of charge. I will call them again when needed.

Service man was on time and quickly determined the problem. The part had to be ordered. Service call was Friday, part came in and was installed on Monday. The service man, Alan Becker, was efficient, professional, and worked efficiently.

I sent in a service request via Able's website. I got a call back pretty promptly. We set up an appointment and I was told who my service repairman was going to be and that he'd call in advance. He did. When Zach arrived he assessed my problems pretty quickly. He gave me my options. He didn't have all the parts he needed on his truck, so he had to go out and get them. That was fine, I wasn't under any time constraints. When he returned, Zach fixed all the problems on all the appliances to my satisfaction - a "utility" service person! I'd hire Able and Zach again!

Took longer than originally told to get the part. Replacement uneventful. Was called by the owner who clearly expressed concerned and caring attitude.

Unit was repaired quickly and efficiently.

They delivered promptly and installed it perfectly!! We love it. Their service people are exceptional.

Great! Found intermittent problem quickly and was able to repair with part on the truck.

Service tech did a wonderful job at a very reasonable rate. I especially appreciate the $9.95 trip charge. GE wanted 10 times as much just to come out to our home, plus any service parts & labor.

The first technician from Able came out and suggested that dirty coils were the problem. After he left, the same problem persisted. I called back Able and was told that they would send out the owner, John, to diagnose the problem. After a phone conversation on the way to our house, he was immediately able to determine that the thermostat was the culprit. Upon inspection of the refrigerator, his initial diagnosis was proven correct. A new stat was ordered and installed two days later. The refrigerator is working perfectly.

We thought the price was fair, and the serviceman got to us in only a couple of days.

Perfectly!! The previous company charged me $85 for a service call and told me it couldn't be fixed and if it was, it would cost more than a replacement. This was a top of the line Whirlpool washer that matched our drier. Able charged me $9.95 for the service call and waived that when I told them to go ahead with the repairs for $375. It works fine now!!

We requested Technician "Charlie" as he previously provided excellent service. Charlie quickly resolved the issue.

Scheduling was easy; I called Monday afternoon and they had an opening on Wednesday morning. They even called me on Tuesday to say they had time to squeeze me in, but I was unable to leave work early. Still, I appreciated that they checked. Alan showed up during the 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. window around 9:30, and promptly diagnosed what was the problem. He had no problem with me being nosy or asking "what about this? could it be that? will you check this line too?" He ordered the part and installed it the next day. Quick and easy! I would hire Able again and recommend them to others based on this experience.

On time, fixed and gone! What else could you ask for?

Scheduling was easy. Service person, Joshua, called prior to arrival and arrived on time. He was professional while working quickly and efficiently.

Zach called prior to our scheduled time to let us know he was on his way. Arrived as scheduled and quickly diagnosed the problem, a burned out switch. He ordered the part and scheduled a return appointment for the next day. He again called ahead, asked if it was ok to show up a bit early, which was fine!. He told us that when he picked up the replacement switch he was told about a manufacturer part recall for our model refrigerator. So when he replaced the burned out switch he also installed a new control board. Kudos to Zach for the excellent service! Prompt, professional and customer focused.

Zach from Able, called to let me know he was on his way, and showed up on time. He diagnosed the problem quickly. Our washing machine's circuit board went out. We discussed the cost to replace it and deemed it wasn't worth it. Zach's job was technically finished at that point. However, he stayed and emptied the water that was stuck in my broken washing machine (the lid wouldn't unlock). This took probably another 20 minutes. He also showed me how to break the lid as he couldn't do it for liability reasons. Zach went above and beyond the $9.95 trip charged I paid. However, Able will feel the benefits as I will call them when I have future appliance issues.

Zach fixed our washer lickety-split, and then took on the tough job of defrosting the ice out of our refrigerator (not freezer) and putting a new defrost sensor in it. He was a fast worker and a patient explainer for people like us who like to know how everything works. I couldn't be happier!

The work was done in a relatively short amount of time. He replaced the part and my dryer isn't making the horrible noise anymore.
