Description of Work: Good repaired the fridge it was not cooling.

Description of Work: Able came to fix an 8 year old dishwasher. The tech was professional and on time. Thankfully, it was just a fuse that went out in the control panel. He had the part on his truck and was finished within a half hour. About an hour later, I went to put my clothes in the dryer and it went out also! I called Able back and they said they were about a week out on appointments. She said since the tech had just left, she would see if he could quickly drop by to see if it was a quick fix. They had the tech back to my house within a few hours. Luckily, it was just a door switch, and again, the part was on his truck. Fifteen minutes later I was up a going. Thank you for the great service!

Description of Work: I found my freezer contents thawed and an ice build-up on back wall of freezer compartment. Called Able on Saturday evening and they scheduled repair for Sunday afternoon. Workman was prompt, very nice, knowledgeable and efficient. Fair price.

Description of Work: This was a service call only, to look at our ailing washer. The serviceman was very professional and friendly. He suggested that we would be better off with a new washer, even though he technically could have fixed the old one. He predicted future problems with it, so we opted to get a new one. He also gave us advice on what to look for when purchasing a new washer. This was extremely helpful to us. We definitely will call them again.

Description of Work: Doug and son came out to check out my stove, which had stopped working. They found that the fuse was blown, but after they fixed that, the stove was blinking a warning light. Doug said that I had burned out the "motherboard," the computer programming unit, when I had lifted the heating coils at the bottom of the oven to clean off dropped pizza. He told me a new computer program would cost almost $400, and when I said that I might as well buy a new stove, he tried to talk me out of it, saying that all stoves are now made in Korea by LG or Samsung, and different brands were then put on them, so I would be better off to just fix what I had...even though it was 12 years old. Instead, however, I bought a lovely new GE stove for less than $1000, and it had a sticker right on it saying it was built in the US. So I felt like Doug was just trying to get a repair job and not really offering the best advice!
