Able Appliance Repair

The company didn't have the part in hand and had to order. Other than that the transactions went smoothly.

Came on time and quickly assessed the situation. Appreciated their frankness and honesty.

They were exceptional. When I called initially & described the problem, they knew exactly what the problem was. They came the same day I called (Friday) but did not have the correct part. They had it brought from Topeka overnight & were at our house first thing on Saturday. I have referred them to other people & will definitely use them again.

Repairman said control panel was shot. He suggested new washer.

The repairman (Jake) was very knowledgeable and professional and fixed the problem.

I was advised there was an additional problem with my washing machine that would be a very costly repair in the near future, so I decided not to fix the leak and just put the money into a new washer. I really appreciated the honesty as my washer was over 10 years old and I was not wanting to pour money into an appliance that would need to be replaced soon anyway.

Gentleman that came to provide quote was ok, but we were expecting the work to be completed that day (based on the over the phone triage done by them). He didn't bring the correct parts. We had to schedule out to the end of the week, with his son performing the work. The son was unprofessional, verbally disparaged his own father (i.e. making it sound like his father was incompetent), and didn't honor the written/signed quote his father gave. The son stated this was because his father didn't include the price of a belt that was needed.

The repair was completed in 30 minutes but the technician was 3.5 hours late. We thought Able Appliance Repair had forgot the appointment.

He did a great job. The refrigerator is working again, and we are happy with the service provided by the repairman from Able Appliance Repair.

Perfect very professional. one of the owners called after the repairs were done to make sure everything went well. You don't see that very often.

The technician responded immediately to our description of the problem and diagnosed the repair needed. He proceeded to temporarily replace the faulty relay unit, test it and, when it solved the problem, permanently installed it.

The owner made the service call, and was at my home within 2 hours of my phone call. He was very professional, and understood the importance of getting my A/C back on. It is an old system, and I was afraid we would have to replace it. However, he was able to replace a couple of fuses, inject some coolant, and taught me how to rinse off the air handler using my garden hose. No one had ever shown me how to do that before, nor had I been told we needed to keep it clean! Someday, when the old beast finally does need replacing, I for sure will have Able do it.

Price sounds like alot, but unfortunately my GE Profile required the most expensive board. I was so delighted to have it up and running again. Priceless for me

Repair went great, I paid with a check as the fellow was leaving. A week or so later I got a call saying how do I plan to pay. I said I gave you a check. He said oh, I'll look for it. A week later I got another call saying how do I plan to pay, I said a check, he said it's lost send another one to the office. I did. A week later the 2nd check cleared. A month later the 1st check cleared. I had to call them so they would issue a refund. Make sure they sign that they have been paid before leaving!!!!!

Called the Kansas number listed for the company and they were very pleasant. They were able to send a repairman out that same afternoon. He was prompt and checked a variety of possibilities for the leak on the washer but was unable to find a reason why it was leaking. They charged $39.00 for the service call. He said the leak was probably a fluke thing but to call back if continued to leak. Used the washer that same day and it continued to leak over the weekend. Called the Missouri number listed on the company's service receipt and the woman was unable to find my name in their system finally saying that since it was a simple service call, I would not be in their system. She scheduled a different serviceman to come two days later. He called prior to coming and seemed frustrated that the first repairman didn't find the cause of the leak and continued to voice his displeasure with the washer manufacturer and the fact that he too couldn't find a reason for the leak. He requested that I continue to use the machine and if it was still leaking, to call them back. He left leaving the washer sitting in the middle of the washroom with the back of the machine off. I used the washer several times again which leaked. I called the Missouri number back and requested a service call. She said the same serviceman would be there the next afternoon. The next day he called and asked a few questions about the washer and said it wouldn't be worth him coming and recommended that I call a certified LG repair company to service it. He never offered to reassemble the washer and move it back out of the way. I decided not to ask him to come and move the washer since he seemed annoyed with the service call the first time.

It didn't. We were abruptly told that "we would not do it." Not, "could not," but "would not," with out any further words. I didn't understand. When we said, "Oh, we use Angie's List and your company is listed to service GE appliances, we were told that Able Appliance will not service unless they use their "own parts" for repairs. So, It looks like if one's oven is under warranty, and one receives the part needed for replacement, Able does not oblige to install or do any work with the factory parts sent directly by GE. This disclosure should be posted upfront, so no one wastes time in calling them for part replacement/install. And, at least be kind and service oriented to the customer when explaining their policies.

The service was prompt and well explained prior to my approval to continue the work. Very pleased with ABLE!

Repairman suggested a "hard start" unit be installed on the compressor for several hundred dollars cheaper than a new compressor unit.

He put in the new one quickly, with no problems.

Prompt. Took awhile for part to come in but that appears to be a common issue across industry.

Charlie knew exactly what was wrong and fixed it super fast. Great company. Charlie very sweet. Great job.

Technician was on time and preformed the work in a timely fashion and at a reasonable price.

The workman came out and quickly diagnosed the problem. He came back the next day with the required parts and the oven now works as it's meant to. He came when stated, was professional and got the job done right the first time.

Allen called to let us know he was on the way. He arrived on time and had the required parts to fix our dryer. He seemed knowledgeable and was courteous. The dryer is fixed for a fraction of what it would cost to replace it. Thanks Allen! A few days after the repair the owner of the company called to follow-up with us to make certain that the work was completed to our liking. We will definitely use Able Appliance again if we need a repair.

Great job they protected our hardwood floors also when they pulled out the fridge.
