Able Appliance Repair

Called me and explained what was wrong with the dishwasher and recommended not fixing it, but to buy a new one. Told me the problem with the stove was repairable, but not necessary because only the light stayed on, but the burner was off.

The clog happened, just coincidentally, the day after a very heavy rain. All plumbers were quite busy with broken sump pumps and backed up sewers. Initially, Able put us on their schedule for about 3 business days out (they admitted they were short-handed due to a small staff with some of them on vacation). They keep a call list. They call clients to be sure they'll be home before they come. It was our good fortune that many people on the list ahead of us apparently didn't not answer their phones when called that day (that I had called). So, several hours later, I got a call. They came out and cleared the clog in less than 30 minutes. The service man was very polite; worked quickly & neatly. This is the 3rd or 4th time I've used them. All experiences have been quite good.

Repaired the dryer and replaced the heating element. Cleaned the exhaust. Shoes me where the lint had already been scorched. I noticed that we did have a super amount of lint. I am having our vent cleaned. I had the vent line removed from the main vent line until it can be cleaned. So it blows with a sock on it for a week. Little warm. Then I had them look at the dishwasher. They are calling me with a quote to replace the main computer board. Update- Another excellent service from Doug!!!! Replaced the heating element on the dishwasher. Only thing, appointment desk leaves a lot to be desired. Please let the customer know that after noon means not making any plans from noon to 9 pm. I will wait for Doug, just would have liked to know that he works until late. Communication is the key.

A very nice gentleman came to repair our dryer because it would run but had no heat. We thought the problem was fixed, but it happened again about two weeks later. The same man returned to fix it, and the second time, the repair lasted. We haven't had any problems since.

To being with, they actually answered the phone at night. although they did not come out that evening, they were here the following day. Charlie, the technician, was very courteous, thoughtful and helpful. Great experience. Our go to repair provider from now on.

Rick went to work immediately and took drawer out and fixed the back of drawer plastic bar which had become dislodged. He was great and did a wonderful job, I would call Able again.

This was the second time that we had used Able Appliance Repair. Both times that have been courteous and professional. The first time they fixed the defrost cycle on our refrigerator and it has worked great ever since. In this case we called them because our dishwasher would not run. It would only blink lights and beep continuously. The technicians from Able came and found the door switch was broken and fixed it. They also found a leaking valve in the dishwasher and were able to replace it on the spot. The dishwasher is working great now.

When I called they were very nice and promised repairman would be out after noon the following day. He called before he came out and arrived about 25-30 minutes later. He took a look at my dishwasher, wiggled some things around and started it up. It ran perfectly. It was just a stuck water leveler thing. I felt somewhat embarrassed it was so easy. The price was perfect. I now have my appliance repair company, this is who I will call with any future repairs.

We had Able repair our old refrigerator a couple years ago and were impressed with their response and technical abilities. When our dishwasher had a problem two days ago I immediately called Able. They sent Justin who, although initially having some difficulty, completed the repair perfectly. We will definitely call Able the next time we need appliance repair. John

They were very professional and friendly. They charged $15 to come out and tell us what was wrong. They told me that it was going to be really expensive fix, so they only charged me the minimum, which I thought was really nice and we decided to take an entirely new refrigerator.

Repairman was professional and thoughtful and took the time to attempt a diagnosis of the problem. Unfortunately his suggestion didn't work and never looped back around to attempt a second diagnosis.

When I called the office I was immediately reassured that someone would come right away, and take good care of us. Doug and Dave were prompt, knowledgeable, and quickly took care of all of the details. I highly recommend this company and will use them for all of my appliance repair needs in the future.

Called on 09-05-13 in the afternoon to see if they would be able to fix my oven. The element had spontaneously broken! I tried to give them the model number of the stove/oven, but couldn't find it. Alan called me the next morning, early, and asked me what the problem was, so he could get the parts to repair it later in the day. I explained that I was unable to find the model number. He said that he was in the neighborhood, so he would stop by and see if he could find it for me and see what the damage was!! He was there in 15 minutes! He found the model number, figured out what the problem was and informed me that the part needed to repair it was in stock. He also gave me a preliminary figure for what it would cost! I had to go to work, and he told me that he would make my call the last one of the day, as it would put him close to home as well. At a little after 5PM, he arrived at my house. It only took about 20 minutes to repair the stove and make sure it was working properly before he was done. I feel like Alan went above and beyond in coming to my house first thing in the morning to make sure he would be prepared with the proper parts later. He was very professional and I would have no problem in having him back to my home, should something else break. Thanks Alan!!

Called three days earlier for I had washed two area rugs, approx. two by three foot in size. I had washed these area rugs before and never imagined what I would be facing as a result. The rubber backing on one of the rugs had completely disintergrated onto pea size pieces. My machine was completely clogged up and after several attempts to clear it, we finally resolved to attempt to call a repair man, but believed in our hearts that we would be shelling out money on a new machine. We called Able Appliance Repair and they sent out a repair man. After about 30 minutes my husband announced that we just had a functioning washing machine once again. Along with the ten dollar coupon, we only spent $98.00 instead of purchasing a new washing machine. We were very pleased with the service and professionalism displayed by both the serviceman and the company.

Rick with Able Appliance Repair called about 10 minutes before the appointed time to confirm. Rick was prompt, knowledgeable and very professional.

We appreciate the honesty and professional assessment, we will use these guy's in the future. I have referred my brother to contact them for a refrigerator repair.

Quick to respond to my request; FAST turn around - appt scheduled for the next day. Part was in and dryer repaired two days later. Tech was on time and called 30 mins before arrival both times. Professional, knowledgeable. Overall very pleased with service from start to finish.

I do not recall the exact date or cost but I remember it was last year and the price was reasonable. Justin was awesome! He was very polite and knowledgeable about the problem. I had meant to leave a review and then time just got away from me. I logged onto Angie's List to research another company and when I saw Able Appliance it triggered my memory. I loved that it is a family owned business and they did not have a huge markup on service calls or products. Great Company! Scheduler was nice and Justin was right on time! Will definitely use them again.

Rick clearly explained what the problem was. He told me how much it would cost to repair it, and about how long it would take. He was professional, and cleaned everything up when he was finished. I was pleased with the work, and would use Able Appliance again.

They were really up front and told me what it was going to cost, they did a good job.

They came out the next day, took a look, ordered the part, and came back two days later and repaired the A/C. I didn't have to be home when they came back. Perfect!

They came out the same day I called, were very nice, and luckily had the part I needed for my dryer. Also, the tech showed me a flaw in the assembly of the dryer that could have potentially caused a fire...and he repaired it while I watched. I was really grateful. I would definitely recommend them!

The technician was prompt and able to fix but didn't explain what had happened. He then stated we needed to clean out some part but didn't offer to do it or offer to explain what it was or how to do it. We have used Able in the past and been pleased but this particular experience wasn't the best.

The refrigerator was leaking water inside. The service tech (Rick) immediately knew what was causing the problem. He had the part with him, so the unit was repaired during his visit. He was very professional and quickly repaired the unit. He also explained the control settings on the unit. I had previously set them incorrectly trying to solve the problem. He called in the morning to give me a two hour window, which allowed me to run errands in the am. He also called just before he left for my house and arrived on time.

The service provider was vary friendly. Found the problem right away but did on have the part on hand. Had to order it and come back another day to install.
