Able Appliance Repair

Allen did the repairs and was very good. Able stood behind their work and didn't stop until we were completely satisfied. Very happy with the company and work done by the technician.

Allen showed up on time, quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced the bad part. Allen was very professional and his description of the problem and explanation of the probable cause and fix it was well done. I would recommend this company to friends and family.

The technician showed us what was wrong and how to fix our central vacuum system, so we'd be able to handle it ourselves next time. He taught us all about how the system worked, which was more than we expected. Very professional.

Rick was our technician and was running a bit late due to a previous job delay. Rick was very professional and knowledgeable. We have a 10 year old fridge that has not had any problems until now. Our fridge stop being cold so he thought it could be the compressor relay and it turned out to be just that. The service took about 5 to 10 minutes but then proceeded to explain to us how to maintain the longevity of our fridge and keep it running as efficiently as possible by cleaning underneath the fridge itself. would definitely recommend them to anyone especially Rick and would use them again.

Justin did an amazing job! The whole experience was pleasant. They responded immediately to our request. They came out the next day and called to let me know they were coming. Once here Justin examined it and found the problem. He went to get the part and came back over after hours so I wouldn't be without! I will definitely use them again.

Justin was pleasant & friendly. He worked really hard to get the new icemaker installed, and made a special trip to pick up the only replacement icemaker in town for my brand of fridge. He took all the time necessary to be sure everything was fixed right, and told me would return promptly if I had any problems. They also had real people answer the phone (it's a family business that's local) and were able to come out the very next day after I called.

The washer had a bad tub bearing. and the $75 would go towards the repair. Buying a new wash and dryer, no more combo's for me, was a better way to go.

I've used them twice and both times, I've been very impressed. The guy that came pretty much knew what the problem was and he took the whole unit apart and replaced the part that was bad. Their prices are very reasonable and the technicians that work for them are really good.

Like many other providers on Angie's List Kansas City, Able Appliance Repair claims that their service area is the "entire KC metro area." However, when I called them, I was told that they would not go to Kearney, Missouri. When providers use such a restrictive definition of the "KC Metro Area," they should say so on their Angie's List page. I have dealt with several good Angie's List providers who come from as far away as KCK and Overland Park without complaint. I don't understand why a company located in KCMO claims to serve the entire metro area, but refuses to come to Kearney. Some truth in advertising, please.

Took the time to test several items. Replaced wiring that had burned that connected to the oven heating element. That didn't fix issue. Traced it to blown motherboard and sensors. The cost to repair (20 yr old oven) exceeded cost of new so the recommendation was to replace oven.

I called Able Appliance repair for a washing machine that quit spinning. I was hoping to repair the machine instead of replacing the machine. Able had a service repairman to my house the next morning. John took the machine apart and diagnosed the problem. He was very honest with me, the repair would have cost more than the machine was worth. John also took the model numbers of my refrigerator (4 year old GE) which has intermittent problems and said he would check into it and get back to me. This company is fair, honest and affordable. I have already referred them to my coworkers and my daughter.

John fround the problem, replaced the part and the dryer was working. John also suggested an annual duct cleaning as a way to prevent the problem from happing again. John was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Able will be my call again if we need an appliance repaired.

The gentleman from Able who came to fix my refrigerator came in, assessed the problem and explained what he needed to do (and why) and what it would cost. He was very professional and cleaned up after himself. I was pleased with the service.

I called and they were able to come out the next day. My refrigerator/freezer wasnt working. He was very honest and tried everythIng he could possibly do to fix it with no avail. He admitted he could have fixed it but for the amount we would have to pay it was cheaper to buy a new one and in the end didnt charge us anything. I will definitely remember his company for all my repairs and I have already told all my friends and co workers!

Quick and easy. Charlie had the part in the truck and replaced it in less than a 1/2 hour. He knew exactly what was wrong and explained it clearly. Price was fair and I am extremely pleased. Very professional and a nice young man.

My refrigerator was not working but the light did come on. I checked and it was plugged in so I called for service... When they came out he saw that something had bumped into or moved the dial inside to 0 so it did not cool. I was such a dummy not to have checked that. We visited a while and he was such a nice person. He did not charge me a penny for coming out. You just don't find that anymore in businesses. I will always call this company for service in the future and be sure to be treated fairly and honestly. If anyone has appliance service they need done do not hesitate to call ABLE. They are really great with old school honesty and reliability.

Discovered a leak coming out of the refrigerator right before a planned trip. They were able to get out quickly and repair the frig! A minor problem came up but it was resolved quickly and professionally. We are repeat customers and will undoubtedly call Able again. They are professional, courteous, and get the job done at a reasonable price. Could not be happier!

Our oven was working but making a strange noise so it wasn't urgent but when I called, they could send someone the next day. Charlie was quick to locate the problem. He ordered the part and installed it the next week. Excellent service.
