Able Appliance Repair

Both repairmen involved were very experienced and did a great job on the repairs. We have had no problems since then with either appliance. Considering the extensive dishwasher repair, the total cost was very reasonable.

Doug was very good at explaining the problem, providing alternatives, and performing the requested repairs.

Very nice, professional and explained situation thoroughly. Gave me pros and cons for both options of what could be done and his suggestion on what should be done, which was the cheaper of the 2. Washer works great now. Will use again.

Not only did the technician make it out the same day we called, he fixed the problem quickly. He also showed up unannounced the next morning to recheck his work. He found another waterline leak and fixed it quickly and at no charge. He said he had seen that on Samsung products that fixing one leak can create another leak because of back pressure. So, he decided he needed to come back and make sure there were no other leaks. That level of care and service is so rare these days. We are so impressed with this company and with our service technician, Jake. We don’t want any of our other appliances to break, but if they do. We’re calling Able.

We contacted them about a potential water pump seal issue. They were going to order the part. Instead, we never heard back from them. We put in a few follow-up calls. They didn't return the calls.

Called to find out what was wrong with washer. Repair person called before arriving and asked me what was wrong so I explained washer was not spinning. He said he was on his way and would be there in 15 minutes. When he walked in the door and before looking at my washer he told me it was the shift actuator and would cost over $300 which was close to what i paid for the washer altogether. So naturally I declined the repair and had to pay $60 for him to drive to my house to tell me that. He could have told me it would have cost over $300 before coming and I would have told him no thanks No harm, no foul. What is worse, after further research, the part cost only $35.

Our dishwasher wash cycle would not start, however, there was still power to the control panel. I called Able early in the morning on Monday, and by 10 am, I had an appointment scheduled for the next day (Tuesday). The tech, Mike, was punctual (even though I was not!), and quickly diagnosed the problem: a faulty door switch. Mike explained the issue, and that he would have to order the new door switch and would not be available for a few days. In the meantime, he installed a temporary fix that would allow us to use the dishwasher. On Wednesday, Able called and said that the door switch would be in on Thursday, and Mike would be at the house at 11 am to install it. Mike had the switch installed in less than 5 minutes. Great job by Mike and Able Appliance Repair. We will definitely use them again should the need arise!

Jake spotted the problem immediately and showed me how I could correct it myself if it happens again. He applied a little duct tape to keep hose from flying out of drainage pipe, leveled the washer, and I was good to go.

All went well. Appliances were diagnosed and fixed quickly.

The service man arrived within the service window. He diagnosed the problem within 10 minutes and gave me a price estimate. He then went to a parts warehouse and picked up the part and installed it successfully. The bill was not cheap but it matched the estimate that he gave me.

Doug, was very professional and knowledge about the appliance. It turned out to be a minor repair on a machine that was just a year old. The problem was fixed and I would call them again if I needed appliance repair. I did think the standard rate was rather high.

On first visit didn’t realize problem. Second visit figured out problem. My complaint is waiting 2-3 days for someone to come.

The phone call was quick and easy and the repair was scheduled for that afternoon. Charlie was knowledgeable, efficient, advised me of the problem and let me know costs in advance. He did a great job. Would definitely use this service again.

Well. The freezer has operated correctly since being repaired.

Learned from technician that motor was shot. He could repair, but it was going to be expensive so he recommended buying a new one instead of throwing money into the old one. Talked to me about what to look for and suggested some possible brands. I was very happy with the results of their visit.

I had a brand new dishwasher not performing. Vicky let me know any outside work would void my warranty and was not in my best interest. And this was at 8 pm on a Sunday night when I had planned to leave a voicemail. I will definitely call them for any future needs.

Technician was fast to diagnose problem and told me it would cost $260 to repair washer. Part price quoted was 2x what I was able to buy it for. I paid the $59 service call and repaired myself. I would say that he was doing his job and he was very polite when I told him I would repair myself and he gave me the part number I would need to replace. I would definitely use them again to at least diagnose the problem and depending on the repair- might use them. They do not bring parts with them.

Took 3 weeks for part but it was repaired and repair man did know the problem. Received a price break on board because of delay so made it more palatable.

Repair was completed on time and with professional results.

Work was performed well and at reasonable cost.

I'm not unhappy with the service, just wanted to write a review to make it a little more clear that there is a minimum $120 service charge. I was hoping from the reviews I wouldn't have to pay more than $100 like some of the other customers, because the repair man only had to open the top of my dryer, found a bobby pin and put the top back on and it was fine. I'm completely aware that service is service and you can't bend the rules but feeling a little bummed that I paid that much money for something I could have done myself. Ultimately I don't know if I would call them again just because I know of a free lance repairman that charges a lot less.

I called and made an appointment for a service technician to come out on the day after I called. About 1/2 hour before the scheduled time, the technician called and said he was on his way, and asked about the refrigerator (brand, what the trouble was, etc.) All fine. When he arrived at the house, he said that they do not work on this brand of refrigerator and he left. He recommended that I call another service like Factory Direct Appliance. I called the office and asked how it is that this is a problem, and was told that there are "new girls in the office" that don't know to ask how old the refrigerator is. Apparently, the refrigerator is new enough that it isn't actually a Whirlpool, it's a Whirlpool branded LG (which they apparently don't work on).

This happened two years ago and Able Appliance Repair was able to fix it so I didn't have to buy a new appliance! Hoping my luck would hold out, I called them this month when the same problem cropped up. Once again they were able to fix the oven for FAR less than it would have cost to replace it. I am SO happy with their service. They will always be my first call when an appliance goes on the blink.
