It went very well. Evan was very thorough and efficient. He found that the outside unit had not been cleaned in quite awhile so he took the time to clean it.

They set a window of 11am-2pm which I assumed meant the work would be completed by 2pm, but it means the tech will arrive by 2pm. Valerie arrived after 1pm and completed the work at about 315pm. Not a big deal, but I'm glad we hadn't made plans to be somewhere at 2pm. Valerie was very courteous and professional. Suggested we might want to add some freon at a $58 charge; when we opted to wait until next service call, she did not pressure us.? Also: we were originally scheduled for maintenance in early June. When a heat wave hit, AB May was swamped with work helping people whose a/c was not working at all, so they called to postpone our maintenance appointment. Altho that was not ideal, I know that if my a/c ever goes out they will put me at a higher priority than someone else's maintenance call.? We have been AB May customers for 15+ years. They provide excellent service at a competitive price range.

Jason our electrician was outstanding. He diagnosed the issues and explained what the various options are on long term solutions. He did a great job on the tasks we were ready for him to work on today. He did such a good job that we have contacted the company to handle some plumbing needs. They are fast, reliable and professional.

The repair man was punctual and did his job well. I particularly like when the repair man shows me what went wrong and how it is fixed. That way, I can potentially fix it in the future. It's just generous and I appreciate it along with how quickly AB May responds to any issues I have within my home.

It went great he came in and checked everything over everything inside the house appeared to be normal then went outside and I was the unit out and checked everything and then came back in because things just weren't working out right . Been investigated further and found that the evaporator coil was frozen up and he took care of the problem .

The only thing I did not like is that I signed an agreement with them, but it was on me to schedule. I had to remember and call them. I would have liked them to take a more proactive approach. The workers were good, kept things clean and put things on their feet when they came to the house. They were professional.

They do it twice a year, heating, air. I have a home warranty with them.

They wanted too much money for what they did. That was my issue with them. I didn't have the problem anymore. The service people were great and nice people. They should not charge much.

We always have a positive experience with our A.B. May techs. They are professional, on time, and patiently answer any questions. Today, however, I have to speak to our technician Richard's kindness! I put our dog outside so the tech would not be disturbed, only to realize 10 minutes later that our gate was open and dog was gone. Without hesitation, Richard helped me walk through our neighborhood and then get back in his truck to help me find him. Luckily we were able to find him, and Richard went back to finish the job with a smile on his face. Our A/C is finally working again, and our dog is back home!

No cold water in the shower. Plumber Terry was confident that it can be fixed, and he did fixed it. Price quoted for additional work like replacing trim kit and bath faucets was too high.

Excellent! They had a tech out within 24 hours and the repair was complete within an hour. Don, the technician, was very professional, friendly, prompt and did a great job of explaining everything. We had a home warrantee through AB May, which we renewed for a second year without hesitation, but we would call them again even without it! The customer service people that answer the phones are also very responsive, friendly and helpful!

Service Technician Stan W. No. 1213 was absolutely wonderful. Very professional, kind and courteous he did a great job on the maintenance of our HVAC unit with much attention to detail

1. Electrical service: Our technician was Arlo. He arrived on time and went to work in our attic to look at the attic fan. He determined that it was probably the original in the home and decided that it should be replaced, which was our feeling as well. AB May did not have the item in stock, so it is on order. The work will be completed next week. We are comfortable with that, because everytime AB May has had to order parts, the process usually goes quickly. While Arlo was there, we asked him about GFCI outlets for the kitchen, which we had learned during a home inspection for the purpose of selling our home should be installed. He had them in his vehicle and quickly and efficiently replaced those for us. It saved us from having to place an additional service call. 2. Plumbing: Our technician was Michael S. He also arrived on time and took a look at the items we had, starting with the garbage disposal. It was also the original, at least 30 years old. He had a unit in his truck and replaced it quickly. He took a look at our faucet and decided that hard water had eroded the valve body too much to just replace the cartridge, so he replaced the entire faucet. Because of our Gold Service Agreement, everything was covered for the cost of a single copayment of $60. 3. Recommendation: Especially if you have an older home, the AB May service agreements can pay for themselves. We pay $61.50 per month, but we have saved at least twice that over the years. It also gives us a great deal of "peace of mind". We are not handy / do-it-yourselfers, so we appreciate people that can do quality work for us. We highly recommend AB May.

The work was fine and the electrician was very nice. The prices were, in my opinion, horrible. $632, but only because we had a service contract with AB May. They claim it would've been $1304 otherwise. (The electrician was here about 90 minutes). The "standard" rates, they tell me: Taking down 2 bathroom light fixtures and replacing with new ones (same size): $572 Replacing 2 outlets: $374 Replacing the existing (working) double light switch: $358 I never should've let them do the work. They were supposed to come between 2-6. They called at 1 and wanted to come early. I let them, but my husband wasn't home to deal with them and I was working, so didn't pay enough attention to the charges. Kicking myself now. Won't use them again.

Second time in 2 Years that the drain needed cleaned. The first time was with a different company that was less informative, and more money. AB May's Cost was great and the technician showed up right on time. It was above and beyond what I wanted to see but I did not agree with the severity of the problem he made it out to be. Very salesman like and I felt like I was buying a vehicle. he scheduled a, "specialist" to come back for a second inspection to view the drain at no cost. My drain is not broken anywhere via the video taken. There is some excessive detaration in certain spots where the water flows and one spot contains small roots. Really not to bad for a 47 year old home. I might be jumping the gun with the review but I'm really curious what this "specialist" is going to be like. Oh when I called the office they said they could honor the Angie's List discount without setting an appointment online which was the only option. When I spoke with the technician he said its only a $10 difference so without arguing I paid Thier price.

Excellent service. When we called they initially said they couldn't get to us for a week which we were OK with (we were not staying in that house) but got a call the next day that they could get to us that day if we wanted. Turns out several HVAC people came in on their day off to clear backlog of calls.

I don't pay anything because I am on the gold agreement. The price is an A because, I pay yearly and it is all covered. They come within their hour.

Then it was a $60 service fee but we moved up to the gold.

Jordan B. was great! Fast, efficient, friendly, and thoroughly professional. Couldn't ask for better service on this simple electrical call. He was done in less than 20 minutes.

These people went above and beyond in service. Very quick and efficient. Thank you for everything and thank you Angie's List! We chose the wrong person last summer for another home service, but I know I can rely on AB May of Shawnee, Kansas!

see above. It went well everytime. The only times we couldn't get something fixed right away was when we had to eait for a part.

AB May did install an AC Coil and Unit and it appears to work thus far although we haven't had a truly warm day to test it out fully, so I can't really review how it works just yet. However, the installation did not go as planned. I chose to have my Dad meet the guys at my house and oversee the process so I didn't have to take a day off from work. At about 11 AM that day, my Dad called me to tell me that although the AC had been installed, there was a problem. Apparently they had to unhook my furnace to get to the AC coil and that meant unhooking the gas. After the AB May guys letf, my Dad noticed a gas smell and at first he thought it was because they had to unhook it earlier, but later it was still very potent smellng so he took some soapy water and tested the pipes (he knows more about this stuff than I would). He found a gas leak. So my Dad immediately called AB May back to report the gas leak so it could get fixed. I know they are busy, but apparently they didn't think it was a serious deal, so they made him wait another approximately 2 hours for someone to come back and fix the leak. In the meantime I am sitting at work worried about something sparking a fire, or worse an explosion. It may not have been that serious of a leak, but gas is nothing to mess with. And what really concerned me was if I had chose to take off work that day, I would NOT have known how to test for a leak and if they had got done at 11 AM, I might have chosen to go work the second half of the day or I might have went to run errands on my day off and all the while that leak would have been letting gas escape creating a very dangerous situation. So, that is why I am giving AB May a B overall rating. I think they could have handled this better by checking for the leak to begin with before they left and/ or after my Dad called them back, they could have sent someone to fix it immediately instead of it being 2 hours later. Don't get me wrong, I agreed to let AB May install my AC Coil because I have had good service from them in the past, so this may have been a fluke, but for me, it was a big deal. I am just glad nothing happened. I am hoping to get a good chance to use my new AC this summer and will provide additional comments after I see how it handles the truly hot days.

Came quickly, had to call for camera equipment, did a thorough job. Covered by home warranty, so total price of service is unknown .
