Doug was super. He showed me everything he was doing and helped me while I cleaned under my refrigerator

This was an emergency, after-hours job and was done quickly and very professionally, solving the problem of having no heat in our house for several hours.

It was an emergency call and Joseph came at the end of the day, almost 8pm, but was most welcome and was very quick and efficient. I have a service contract with AB May so the cost was a modest service fee.

Nick was professional and through, explaining all steps. When a failed solenoid was discovered, Nick had one in his service vehicle and replaced the component quickly and efficiently returning the Humidifier to functionality.

We called right before Christmas day because our heat pump had quit working. Our seller's home warranty company had already struck out on multiple previous attempts at getting a service company to respond. I finally insisted on them letting me choose my own and I am SO glad I did! I called A.B. May and was given prompt attention from their phone rep and treated with great respect and courtesy. They scheduled a service call immediately, even though they had no previous association with my warranty company and the holidays were keeping everyone busy. Kyle, our serviceman, was very friendly and professional. The problem was not immediately apparent and he thoroughly and methodically checked all failure points, making sure nothing was overlooked. I'm fairly handy and so I wanted to watch while he worked. He was happy for me to do so and explained everything as he went. After eliminating all obvious reasons, Kyle finally found the issue in an electrical component in our heat pump that needed replacement and, with help from experts back at his home office, also a contributing setting buried within our thermostat. I have absolutely NO confidence that any of the warranty company's contractors would have had the expertise or support to have correctly fixed the issue. In addition to the service work, Kyle also had to spend an inordinate amount of time with the warranty company answering a ridiculous amount of questions so that I could get reimbursed properly. He was patient and got through the lengthy process for my benefit even though it was costing him uncharged time that he could be applying to my work, or spending on his next call. I can honestly say that this was the most pleasant service experience I've ever had in 35 years of home ownership. A.B. May will always be my first choice for home service needs. And I can't recommend Kyle highly enough. Thank you!

Even though we paid for the service we didn't use them because of the wait. Maybe the low price coupon had something to do with them not being in any hurry to do the service.

The HVAC technician, Evan, arrived within the scheduled timeframe. I appreciated that the entire day was not tied up. He came in and put on footies to not track in dirt. I provided a new filter to be installed, and I explained the problem with my humidifier. Evan was able to get my humidifier working, cleaned my furnace, and air conditioner. He worked quickly, thoroughly, and was professional.

Getting the work actually performed proved to be an impossibility. Six weeks after notifying ABMay that the insurance claim has been settled and work can commence, we have exchanged several emails and phone calls with promises of "we'll get it scheduled and call you tomorrow with the date." but the follow-up has never occurred. With no prospect of getting the work actually completed, we're moving on to a different provider.

The technician, Stan first reviewed the plan for the visit, asked if there was any specific items I was having issues with. He then completed the work and checkout with me.

He noticed there was an intermittent stoppage of light, where the lights flickered then came back on. He continued to look beyond the list to and did find what could have been a disaster, a huge cluster of electrical lines that were arcing and would have inevitably cause a house fire. This was above and beyond the list that was originally given.

Work was done in a timely manner. Technician was professional.

The service provided was great and the technician was both friendly and professional. He was willing to spend time talking with me about my concerns and offering advice regarding future upgrades and how to make what we have last longer. This is an older home and we just purchased the property so I had lots of questions - and they all got answered. I also appreciated how friendly Michael was with my big dog (who scares people from time to time), they were best buds by the time the appointment was over.

Went very well, showed up when promised, was very neat and efficient about what he did.

In late August, we contacted a different (not AB May) company to request a quote to install an AC unit and duct work in our attic. They responded promptly and emailed a quote on Sept 2nd and we accepted it that same day. As of today, Dec 6th, despite us sending several emails and making multiple phone calls, they never scheduled our work or told us they could not do the work. We asked our fb friends who we should call. They recommended Pat Marsh with AB May. We called Pat on Friday, Nov 11th. He came to our house Monday, Nov 14th. We had a quote that week. It was inline with quote from other company. AB May showed up Monday, Nov 21st. Joe, the lead technician, and his crew worked three straight days and finished. And that was Thanksgiving week. They did an excellent job, no issues at all. City inspected and everything passed. The city inspector said he likes inspecting work by AB May because they are very conscientious and always do a good job. Thank you Pat and Joe!!

It went great. Serviceman, Evan S. was professional, thorough, and gave me some tips for taking care of our system. We do have a service contract with AB May, and have had for many years. The folks they send to take care of HVAC issues always do a really good job. Kudos to the company for hiring great folks.

Initially I had a problem with my humidifier not working. I was able to diagnose to the point that the humidi-stat and solenoid were not getting power. At that stage I called AB May. Chris arrived the same day and was able to validate my diagnosis and then found the loose connection that I could not find. He repaired the connection and verified the humidifier was working. I paid $89 for the call-out, and he honored a Angie's List $25 coupon. The next day the blower/fan was not working in the 'auto' setting. I called AB May and they sent A.J. to look at the problem. I don't believe the problem was related. A.J. found that the condensate drain filter was blocked and the Furnace was shutting itself down after 5 minutes. He was able to remove and clean the blocked filter ( A plastic box-like item with vacuum and drain hoses connected to it), and once he reinstalled it, a lot of condensate drained out of the unit. He then tested all other parts of the system, verifying voltage, amperage, temperature etc. He also replaced a length of clear condensate drain hose from the a/c, which looked like it may cause a blockage problem in the future. Because it was a follow-up call from the day before, there was no charge! I ended up buying a CO Detector from him anyway - good to have them in the house with a gas furnace. The CO detector was $35 - but they again honored a $25 coupon I had for completing an AB MAY survey the day before. - So It cost me $10 for the CO detector and $64 for the call outs. They have various service plan options, which I will be considering.

It went great. Brian is the supervisor that came out and told us about the system. He was very helpful and knowledgeable about what systems they had available. The technician who did the installation was great as well.

Great. He Wes punctual, gave us all the information on the problem and had parts sent to the house quickly. AB May came back a couple of days later and fixed the microwave.

Robin had had some unavoidable occurrences, and was unable to get to us within the scheduled time range, but ABMay kept us updated as to the status, and we were fine with the delay. Remarkably, Robin did not call it a day after 5 and reschedule, but she showed up, and went above and beyond what was expected. Her frank and honest approach was refreshing, and we will definitely be calling ABMay from now on.

Great job. He called Supervisor regarding the disposal and now they work. I have used the Gold Plan and got a new hot water heater earlier in the month. It's not cheap, but better than my messing it all up and paying more. I have lived here for 17 years and things need to be replaced. I trust AB May to fix everything.
