He checked the toilet and spoke to me about the problem and then replaced the broken valve. It was great and he was great. So happy with the service!

I was expecting weekend company and needed the bathroom vent fan fixed(it was really loud) The original appointment would be more than a day out due to my schedule but the scheduler was able to get an earlier time when a break in the schedule was available. The electrician was able to clean and make adjustments avoiding a costly replacement and saving me money. Thank you!

+ -1 moreAB May was great, they were at the house the very next morning and spent the day removing the old unit and replacing it with a new one. Our tech Curtis V. was excellent explaining everything that was required and what the expense would be. By late afternoon we had a new unit. We were really pleased the cost of the unit was covered by our warranty and everything went as expected. There were unexpected code upgrades and permitting expense (City issues not AB May's) but AB May explained and took care of everything!

+ -1 moreIt went great. Mark resolved the issue and installed the final smoke alarm for me. He was very knowledgeable, professional and great to work with. I highly recommend Mark and AB May.
Description of Work: I was replacing our old smoke detectors when I discovered one of them had extra wires. They appeared to go to some sort of relay that I was unfamiliar with. Rather than fiddle with something I was unfamiliar with, I called AB May. They dispatched Mark Hampton who realized it was the doorbell relay. He quickly resolved this issue for me.

+ -1 moreBrain had a crew ready to go two days later, I however could not get ready for them that fast. He scheduled them one day later. He sent a crew of two knowledgeable guys. Brian got them lined out and walked them through the entire job, what needed to be done and what his expectations were.
Description of Work: I called AB May to come and give us a bid for a water softener for our home. When Brain arrived we talked about the softener and went to the location that I thought the unit could set. Brian immediately saw that our hot water heater was not installed up to code standards and explained what was wrong with the installation. He also pointed out the problems with the water lines and how they often caused major problems for homeowners. He tested the water pressure and found that the pervious owners had turned the pressure down. It was obvious, after looking, that they had experienced water leaks in the past, and reduced the pressure to curtail any further problems. After talking more with Brain his attention turned from selling us a waters softener to repairing our water system and hot water tank up to code for our safety. I told him that my wife and I would talk about it, due to out lay of cash. After discussion, we called Brian back, he came out that afternoon with finance options and everything we needed to get the job started and completed. His experience was very helpful.

+ -1 moreThe plumber they sent out was polite and professional. But in the end he could not fix the problem. He said he could do a couple of things that "might" fix the problem but it was going to cost over $600. I am not going to pay that amount of money for "Maybe it'll work". I pay for results. So I paid him for his service call, which is fine. Again, polite and professional but with what a plumber costs today I want results, not probability of results. I do not have the exact date of service because I was not given a paper copy of the invoice. I just signed on the tablet.
Description of Work: We have a leak from an upstairs bathroom that had dripped for quite awhile and caused the drywall ceiling in our kitchen to become damp. We called AB May to fix the problem. I had cut the damaged drywall out to give the plumber easy access to the plumbing.

He also checked our carbon monoxide detector at our request, and despite him performing the test on it four times, our existing alarm didn't even peep. He provided us with much better detectors at a very reasonable price and installed them for us. Ron is the perfect example of how a technician should be; he was professional, friendly, helpful, and did not push unnecessary sales. We would love to have Ron do our servicing every time!
