Description of Work: Broke into concrete to repair a water line leak. Great job. Put me ahead on his schedule as he kneww the water leak was an emergency. After repairing the leak, he re-concreted the hole with great results. Highly recommend.

The email was sent thru Angie's List on 04-18-12 and as of today, 04-29-12, I have not heard from them at all. Very unprofessional. If they were too busy for what I might need, I would have appreciated a call, text, or email letting me know.

 + 3 morewade took pride in his work. he treated me as a person and not just as a woman who he could take advantage of. i would recemend him to all my female friends for his handyman services. the paint job has given my home a new facelift. job well done thanks to wade and chris.
Description of Work: wade was very thoughtful of his work. he took pride and went out of his way to do things right. his repair of my siding was prefect and he informed me of damages of general wear and tear of an older home. he went out of his way to correct them.

 + 2 moreIt went well. He can be trusted to do the work when I wasn't home and nothing was disturbed that wasn't on his list of "to-do"s. He did a great job.
Description of Work: I had Wade come over to give me an estimate on exterior painting for my house. I also had a list of small things that needed repaired as well. His estimate was fair and detailed. I have a good idea of how much I'll be needing next Spring when I can get the house painted. He also repaired exterior window frames, cleaned my gutters and trimmed a tree. I didn't notice until after the work was completed and he was gone that he had taken out a dead mini-cedar tree from my garden and had resettled the mulch in the garden. It was something extra he did that I hadn't requested. I liked Wade Phillips and will have his number handy for my next list -- including painting next Spring.

 + 1 moreI am totally dissatisfied with wade Phillips as a business man and as of this report, there is no satisfaction guarantee.
Description of Work: Wade was very prompt and very easy to get a hold of for bidding the jobs I needed done around the exterior of our house. After each job I would have to pay him for the work done for the day, which I did. He repaired our pool house, but did not paint the work that he finished. He tarred a flat roof that a week and a half later is still had not dry. I paid him for that as well only to find out that it won't dry because the tar coating was too thin and now I need to lay felt over the tar to complete the job. The third job was to fix flashing and put the siding back on our pool house roof that I believe was damaged from high winds, when we went over what had been done, there was a piece missing, which was not put up and he said there was nothing ever there and the empty spot was fine. After having a roofer look at it I now know that is not the case and I need that last piece of siding to go back up to finish the job. Now, Wade Phillips has taken on two other jobs in between mine and his last job took him out of state and couldn't call me, due to roaming charges he didn't want to incur. The company says that satisfaction is guaranteed, I can tell you that is not the case. It has been now 15 days since I last saw him and him and I have yet to get a call regarding the issues with the work he has performed and any follow up at all, exept by text message. Only to once again to say he will call. Just to let you all know I have yet to receive a call. Our last text was that his work was sound and that I call too much and by mutual agreement we won't be doing business in the future. I still would like for him to complete the work I have paid for, that has yet to be done.

Description of Work: Repaint bathtub and sink in 1st bathroom. Was supposed to prep and repaint shower in 2nd bathroom, but was so thorough in the prepwork, he advised painting not necessary. Saved $125. He also painted a large bedroom beautifully. His prepwork in all his work is 2nd to none.He was very helpfull in so many ways, I can't remember half of them. He helped me romove a window to take to be repained. Advised me how to clean woodwork to remove nicotine stains. Advised me how to remove cola stains from carpet. Found someone to help me remove furniture and so on and so on. I have so many more projects and he is definately on the top of my list. I almost feel aprehensive to let others know, lol. His comunication is perfect. Calls ahead b4 he comes and always answers when I call him. Pricing "very" fair with no unqualified surprises. Wade is a solid professional and much more than a handyman.

 + 6 moreI called and left a message on what I was wanting done. (remodeling) He didn't call back until 2-3 days later. When he did come and look, he was driving a piece of crap suburban, and had his girlfriend with him. He was very pleasant, but admitted he would have to hire someone else to do alot of the work, and he would be making 15% still. His price was too high also for what he was going to be doing. He had another guy, who was going to do the work, finally send me an estimate. I want someone who is a little more professional and can do the work themselves.
Description of Work: I did not have him do any work for me. I was not impressed with his appearance, or price. He was very nice, but didn't know how to do a lot of the remodeling that I wanted done. He was going to have to sub it all out except for the painting.

Description of Work: This company did interior painting with excellent results, very detailed and finished in record time. They also did repair on the deck last year and tree removal at an excellent price with great results. I would recommend their services anytime and will use them again. Very professional and detailed work in a timely manor at very low cost. I rate them triple AAA!!!

 + -1 moreI came home from work and had a bright yellow flyer on my door stating The Handyman and listing all of his experiences. I had been thinking about brightening up my houses exterior. Heaven knows its been quite some time since I was able to get it painted. I called up this gentleman named Wade Phillips (The Handyman) and asked him if he could come by and give my a price on painting my house. The next afternoon I met with him and he gave me an estimate for the job and chatted about his work history. I talked it over with my husband and we decided to go ahead with it. I called him up about a week later and shortly after that he started the job, it took him about a week due to all this crazy weather we have been getting. But now that its done it looks beautiful! I couldn't be happier.
Description of Work: I had the exterior of my house painted a bright white.
