I wanted a new kitchen floor and backsplash and went to the store to check out the choices. Holly helped me coordinate the colors/patterns. I had to wait a few weeks for the order and the crew to install it, but it was worth it. They had a big job leveling my floor, but they did a beautiful job and I have many compliments. I would not hesitate to hire them again.

all went well except for one interior doorway transition that was 1/2 inch off from one side to the other. they got him to come back in a decent amount of time and fixed the problem without a hassle.

Project started in June 2013. Work continued into late 2013. Because of leaks and cracks in the tile they have had to come back and redo the tile around the tub and wall. They last finished their work in February 2014. We have recently found new cracks in wall and we may have to call them back. It was really a unbelievable experience and the sales person even quit and one of the subcontractors was fired. A lack of caring and supervision is this company's main problem.

If it weren't for the guys who installed the tile (J and P Flooring) this would not have been an positive experience at all. I found the sales rep, Ken at JFD to be somewhat difficult to deal with. He had an idea set in his mind of what tile we should use, the type of counter top even the plumbing fixtures - each of which were different from what I had in mind. He calls us and gives us the total amount for remodel over the phone and says that if it is more than what we budgeted we can easily finance the balance through the store. However, he did not mention that any unpaid balance over 30 days is assessed at a 25% interest rate! 25%! People with the worst credit in the world aren't charged that amount! We made another call to set up a time to sit down and go over the invoice - pulling teeth would have been easier than it was to get an exact amount for each line item - of which we never got all at once. We instead had to make a call each time we were contacted by the glass person or cabinet person to see how much was allocated for that item. There were many other minor problems - the plumbing items specified in the invoice were not the ones purchased. The sink, sink faucet and shower faucets totaled $250.00 less than what we had already paid. We did present this in writing to the owner, Duane Hukill and he was willing to deduct this amount from the bill. One other issue - I'm still not 100% certain that we did not pay a porcelain price for ceramic tile. As it turns out, the tile installers were also the plumbers - not necessarily a bad thing as they were excellent - but this was never mentioned at any time during any meeting. We do have a beautiful bathroom and are now armed with much more knowledge than before. From now on whenever we or anyone we know wants to have new flooring or tile put in - or even a Kitchen/bath remodel for that matter, we will refer them to Jand P Flooring instead.

They're like a one stop shop. We're going to be doing a bathroom remodeling with them. We had out 100 year old hardwood floors refinished through them. They are also going to be doing some tile work for us in kitchen and bathroom. He was either to replace the hardwood floor or refinish it and he was able to refinish it and he did a excellent job. The service was very pleasant. They have salesman came out and create a profile for us of what's needed to be done and was very helpful.

They came, they left because the rolled up carpet was stored in a shed and was too cold to stretch. They returned Tuesday after MLK Day and did the job, they got paid, then they left! Good job, Guys. We are very pleased.

New carpeting in part of my house was the last step in repairs after a tornado. I was not in a hurry, so over a few weeks I went in and talked to whichever sales person was available to get samples. The person I ended up with was Ken, an older gentleman. Every carpet sample I picked up, the reply was "It'll last you forever." The warranties were very different, the prices were very different, and I was looking for the best quality that I could afford. I knew better- that different prices and warranties were there for a reason. Looking back on the experience, I feel I was spoken down to because I am a woman. (Perhaps not- that's just my gut feeling.) I didn't experience that with any other sales person. On other visits, the sales staff explained the differences in the carpets, what they are made of, what to look for if I go elsewhere, etc. The installation was done as the order was written and done well, although I had to stop them when I noticed part of the padding had a scrim and part did not, because Ken didn't write the order correctly. I called and talked to Ken who tried to tell me that's what I ordered. I knew better. I specifically asked for the water-barrier on the padding. The installers replaced a part of the padding- at least in the area where I needed the water barrier the most. Bottom line: Loved the selection and willingness of the people to work with me and stay within my budget, and installation went well, and according to the written order. I just felt patronized by one sales person. This is a great floor store- just don't talk to Ken.

My real estate agent contacted Trevor (Joplin Floor Designs) to come measure our new home for carpeting. After picking out the carpet he gave a quote and then arranged a installation time. Since we were still living in Kansas City, Trevor kept in touch with us about scheduling since some of our carpet had been backordered. He really was great to work with. I would definietly use Joplin Floor Designs for future work.
