custom cabinets
+ -1 moreThere was no start to finish other than they came out to look at what we wanted done.
Description of Work: John promptly came out and measured for project. We finally rec'd bid after calling them but everything we wanted done was not in the bid. They told me it would be after Holidays which I said was fine. I have made 3 phone calls to in the past 2 months and each time I was told they would find out and call me back. They couldn't even remember what I wanted done. I have never rec'd a phone call back. I guess they aren't needing work.

+ 0 moreJohn came out twice after his initial visit to re-check all measurements and answered questions and requests we had for crown molding and finish. He stated it would be 4 weeks to make the cabinets, which turned out to be a little longer due to snow storm delays. He was always very friendly, efficient and professional. Their office manager, Martha, also was very helpful when we called. Two men came to install the cabinets and did a great job. (They also spent considerable time helping us hang a rug on a wall by our entryway stairs. It was quite a challenge due to the height and working over the steps.) The basement bookshelves/cabinets are high quality and look great! We would definitely recommend this business to others and are thinking about using Lage's to customize some built-in cabinets for our closet. John says they now have a computer-assisted design program for that.
Description of Work: Lage's Cabinet Shop made custom book cabinets and shelves on either side of a fireplace in our basement. The fireplace had to be vented out a side wall, so they designed the cabinets to conceal the pipe/vent. John came to our home to measure and then sent us a design and estimate. The cabinets are made at their shop with a computer assisted design program. They include cupboards and drawers topped by shelves, and a cupboard to conceal the vent pipe.
